The Space:
Best of the West has unbeatable gulf views in store for you at the Blue Water View, located on the top floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, beachfront condo at Pointe West Resort! It's an easy walk to the Pointe West Beach Club, with quick access to the beach walk over to the gulf. 

This building has a brand new elevator.

Soak up some rays, go surf fishing, hunt for sand dollars or just relax and chill! Blue Water View is perfect for a family of 4 with a king-size bed in the primary bedroom with ensuite bathroom and 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom. Best of the West will make sure you are comfortable in this fully furnished condo, with a flat-screen TV, WIFI & cable, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bath and pool towels, and all beds dressed for your party.

When you stay in a Best of the West home, all you need to bring is your clothes, sunscreen, food, and you! Best of the West provides basic consumables needed for your entire stay; paper towels, toilet paper, large & small trash bags, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap, coffee, creamer, sweetener, coffee filters, first aid kit, and to make things even easier, a luggage cart to help you pack & unpack from your car!

Guest Access:
You will be provided the door code, wifi code, and all other check-in information 2 days before check-in.

The Neighborhood:
Pointe West is an exclusive resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are clean and groomed regularly and they are by far the best on the island. The main clubhouse has a beautiful infinity-edge pool, hot tub, kid’s pool, cabanas, grills, gift shop, workout facility with lockers, and a game room. 

***AMENITIES FEE: Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Pointe West Beach Club to take full advantage of the community facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, Basketball, and Pickleball courts). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older and are good for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the Beach Club upon registration.

(You will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay the resort fee. The primary guest on your reservation will need to show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands and parking passes.) *** Fees increased to $25/per person in 2023. The fee is not mandatory. If you do not plan to use the pools and other amenities during your stay, you do not have to purchase the wristbands, but you will need to get parking passes from the Beach Club. You can get free wristbands for use of the restaurant and bar.

The Pointe West Beach Club is a separate entity from Best of the West Galveston. Best of the West Galveston cannot guarantee the availability of any of the Beach Club’s amenities. Check the Pointe West Beach Club’s website for details.***

Getting Around:
You are only approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston, Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, the new Pleasure Pier, and all the other great attractions of Galveston.

**Elevators, WIFI, and cable can be unreliable on West Galveston Island. We apologize, but Best of the West can not guarantee these amenities will be working during your stay at Pointe West and we are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.**

Checkin was super easy. The view was absolutely incredible. Very peaceful. The unit was clean and had everything you need to get you started , including a playpen for a toddler, extra fans, blankets, and kitchen appliances. Roku TV with all the streaming you need and great WiFi. Location was super close to the pool which was great with two kids. Would definitely return!

I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! It was super clean! Our kids had a great time playing in the ocean and pool. I was worried because it was about 30 minutes away from restaurants and such but we loved being away from the crowded town. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous Find!

Had a wonderful stay at Blue Water View. The condo was beautifully appointed. The views amazing from the expansive deck. James, our host, did a great job communicating with us which made for a smooth check in and out. We enjoyed the 2 on site pools and it was not crowded so very peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely come back!

Great relaxing place on Galveston Island

Large clean ocean view condo with room for a couple alone or with kids. Excellent host who communicated in a timely fashion. Just across a boardwalk from the beach. Took long walks along the beach but didn’t use all the amenities this area had to offer. Highly recommend for a slightly remote get away.

Great property

Blue Water View was a wonderful vacation. The unit was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a vacation stay with 2 kids. The king bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful, and we watched multiple sunrises. The location of the unit was perfect to get to the beach and the pool. The pool was cold, but didn’t stop any of us from getting in. Loved having the restaurant and bar right there to order drinks and treats. The beach was very clean. Communication with the property manager was fast and easy. Would love to have a few plastic cups for beach and pool use, but otherwise loved staying here! Will definitely come back to stay here.

Great little getaway

We had problems with tiny sugar ants in the kitchen, the whole weekend. And there was not a lot to cook with. the skillets & the pots were very worn and scratched up. But everything was in good service condition and everything was very comfortable & cool. In The middle apartment the patio is very hot and sunny in the day, but very windy and cool at night. 👍

Nice stay

The room was very clean, which is most important to me. Great view of beach from the balcony. Close to the beach walk over. The beach at Pointe West is very clean and nice. Not crowded and very quiet. We love the west end of the island. The furniture is comfortable and so is the king bed. Twin mattresses were too firm IMO. The only complaint was that we only had 3 wash cloths for 4 people. I don’t like to share towels, so there wasn’t enough for all of us to shower the first night. There was also no soaps or shampoo etc, so be sure to pack your own. I would recommend this unit and would stay again.

Perfect location!

This unit was definitely perfect as far as location goes! It could have used another once over on the floors as they were pretty grungy but besides that it was very nice. Kitchen was stocked with a number of helpful items but if you plan on using more than 1 kitchen towel make sure to pack some. There was some food in the pantry that looks like it had been left and a lot of it was expired including the ground coffee that was there. I would definitely pack your own coffee and supplies as the creamer and sweetener that is provided is stored in jars that are used by multiple renters. Overall I would definitely stay here again I would just make sure to pack a couple extra items.

Solo Vaca Heaven

Although I’m married and take most of my vacations with my family and children, I simply needed some time to myself. This location was quiet, being at the west end of Galveston beach. It felt secluded enough so that I didn’t need to interact with many people. The condo, being on the third floor, offered great views of the beach. The large balcony was a Heaven every morning, and every evening to do yoga, meditation, and sit out and read my books. It’s so close to the beach house and the walking pier that takes you over to the beach that it was effortless being able to go out and see the beach in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening for sunset. The beach is private to this particular complex, and did not have cars on it and loud people which I really appreciate also. The owner of the condo has thought of everything! Great kitchen set up, with all the utensils and pots and pans needed. All the supplies you would need to have a wonderful vacation by yourself or with your family. The master bed has a great pillow top on it, which was really comfortable. The shower has amazing pressure to wash away all stress and it also has multiple settings on the head which I used to enjoy shower massage. The big screen TVs are fun to relax in the evenings, and the couch was quite comfortable. I pulled out blankets and loved the lounger section of the sofa. The elevator was also a great addition whenever my legs were tired, and I didn’t wanna walk up to three flights of stairs. I used the gym at the beach house, which has amazing machines, free weights, tread mills, and a stairmaster. The women’s locker room was very clean and well appointed with showers if I needed them. I went off season and they were repairing the pools although I’m looking forward to going back and taking advantage of the pools because they look amazing. I brought a number of groceries with me and all of my water and beverages. However, I did take a trip about 15 minutes away to a grocery store near Jamaica Beach. In offered fresh meats, fresh gulf shrimp and all the necessities for me to make a great dinner back at the condo. The owner was quite helpful and even called me for a concern I had about the fog. He seems quite connecting and supportive of his guess and I felt very cared for. I highly recommend this location, for the price it is amazing. And the entire complex with amenities at the beach club are worth taking advantage of.

Nice and quiet fall break

I stayed for a few days in the fall. Condo was clean and has everything needed. Property was quiet as I stayed during the week in the fall. Enjoyed my stay!
