Detached Villa sleeps six with air con, wi-fi, private pool and wonderful views

Under the same ownership since it was built, the villa is situated on the crest of a hill, never to be overlooked, with spectacular views across to Maro, the Mediterranean and the 'Sierra de Almijara' mountains. Private pool, plus a large main terrace of 85 sq.m., with two retractable sunshades, table, six comfortable chairs, sunbeds and umbrella. Additional table and chairs for four on the upstairs terrace, plus another retractable sunshade. Outside brick built barbecue with external sink. 10 mins walk down to Burriana Beach, the main beach in Nerja. 5 minute walk from the nearest big Mercadona supermarket, 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk into the centre of town. Numerous bars and restaurants plus a small supermarket on the beachfront. We own the villa outright, so rest assured nothing will come between you and your holiday. Excellent house, location and incredible views. Very well equipped; comfortable beds, plenty towels and a couple of heaters for the colder months. Beautiful walk down to the incredible beach!A couple of very tiny things ; some basic hand soap would have been great as part of welcome pack provided. Indoor dining table needed a good scrub clean so may have been missed on changeover.But these are merely details. We loved our stay here and plan to be back!

Lovely villa

We had a lovely stay at this villa. It’s a great accommodation plenty of space and a private pool . The terraces are amazing with Panoramic views of mountains and sea. The location was perfect 5 mins to the Mercadona and similar to Burriana beach.

Luxurious accommodation , spectacular views and excellent location; even the beds were comfortable. Landlord easy to contact , quick to respond , and always helpful and very pleasant to deal with .

The villa was nice maybe could do with refurbishment. Air con okay worked well. Outside was lovely and spacious fantastic views and large pool. Had a problem 1st night no.cot so our baby had to sleep on.a mattress on the floor..Had difficulty getting in the property at 1am keys no where near the entrance to the property had to ring the owner twice early hours.Steep walk up so no good for people with mobility problems. But would stay again due to the fantastic views and outside space

My wife and I had a fantastic 2 weeks in Villa Mimosa,the property has absolutely everything you need and is in the perfect location with spectacular views,close to burriana and 5 minutes to Mercadona. The private pool and spacious outdoor area were brilliant. Liked it so much we’ve booked again for next year.

Home from home with added sun

Villa Mimosa was perfect for me and my family there was plenty of room for the 6 of us, It was very well equipped with everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the pool, it was close enough to the supermarket, the beach and restaurants. Overall it was exactly what we'd hoped for and we hope to stay again in the future.

Great location and views, very clean

Fantastic views, very private, close to beach shops and bars, very clean. Located on a hill so walk back is uphill and about 30 min walk into main town area. Sun all day with shaded areas if required, good seating and sun loungers with thick covers. Good kitchen area and selection of glasses, cups and utensils. Clean BBQ area

Family Holiday

Our stay was absolutely lovely. The villa accommodated the 5 of us with plenty of room to spare. The property was very clean and upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome package from the hosts. Very thoughtful after a long day of travelling. We used the pool a few times as it was quite cold but I imagine the water warms ups during the summer months. Regardless, it was clean and the kids had a great time. We would not hesitate to come back again!

Easter family holiday

Villa is in a peaceful location and close to supermarket, sea front and Nerja centre. We hardly used the car. We enjoyed eating meals outside on the terrace, surrounded by beautiful sea views. Great swimming pool with plenty of outside space. Having a shower room on both floors was really handy because it provided separate/private facilities between the bedrooms. Beds were comfortable.

The position of this property gave fabulous views and it is in a quiet area, 3 minutes walk from the nearest supermarket and not far from the beach. The outside space was great including the pool and it was helpful to have a few provisions for when we arrived as a welcome pack. There was no spare bedding, just duvets so some members of our party were cold at night. Some extra blankets would have been useful. Also there were no covers for the sunbeds or outdoor seating so although there were instructions as to where these could be found at the villa, we couldnt find them.

Good service, but the villa is in need of some renovation

The villa is somewhat better in the pictures than in reality. This is especially true for kitchen furnishings and bathrooms. The kitchen decor and counter have a clear need for replacement and the contents were tiring. The teflon in almost all the saucepans was scratched and the knives were dull. It was a lack of butter knives and small spoons. The cleanliness of the kitchen on arrival was clearly surfes cleaned, but not thorough cleaned. The bathrooms both up- and downstairs were worn down and the wood was rotten down in the 1st floor. Water ran out on the floor in the 2nd floor and was notified to homeowners who responded immediately that this was to be fixed in October. The shower on the 2nd floor was held up with a rope, just saying... The pool area and porch were very dusty and we had to hose down the tiles and wash all the outdoor furniture. The pool itself was clean. The parasol was broken and useless. One of the chairs outside broke the first day and was notified owner who responded right away. We have rented villas in previous years in Nerja, but this is the first time the villa has not been cleaned during a two week stay. We got new bedding and towels, but that was it. Several of the towels had holes in them. We also didn't get toilet paper, witch was also the first time we experienced when renting a villa. The area was in a short distance to the beach and marked, which was great. But the street Calle Coin itself was littered with garbage and a lot of cat feces, this applies on the road to the marked. So the area was not that nice compared with other places we have rented. The service is excellent when needed, but the villa is not in good condition. We love Nerja, but unfortunately we will probably not be coming back to this villa.

Great place with beautiful views and nearby the Mercadona supermarket and Burriana beach. We enjoyed the pool at the house and the kitchen was well equipped with any necessary utensils. The only thing we missed was connectivity to the TV when it was raining one night. Will remember to bring a Chromecast unit next time.Would definitely consider the same place next time we come to Nerja

Vacaciones perfectas

Vacaciones perfectas de principio a fin. Agradecer en primer lugar a los propietarios de la casa su comunicación fluida en todo momento y su excelente atención. La casa era maravillosa, todo muy limpio y ordenado, además de estar super equipada, no falta nada, te sientes como en casa. La piscina es espectacular, epicentro de la vivienda, y donde hemos echado maravillosos momentos en familia que no olvidaremos. Las terrazas de la vivienda han sido el lugar perfecto para almuerzos y cenas con maravillosas vistas a la playa de Burriana y los acantilados de Maro. Hasta de Garret, el señor que limpia la piscina, nos llevamos un bonito recuerdo, es una persona entrañable. En definitiva, tal y como se puede leer en el título, han sido unas vacaciones perfectas.

Gran casa para pasar una larga estancia

La casa estaba en perfecta condiciones cuando llegamos. Las fotos no hacen justicia a la casa, es mejor en directo. La piscina estaba perfecta. La recomiendo sin ninguna duda. Por poner una pega, la ubicación no es perfecta, pero teniendo coche te mueves fácilmente y puedes aparcar en la puerta siempre

WeI first went to Nerja over twenty-five years ago and decided 'this is for us'. Although we now own two properties in the Burriana area (both on the VRBO site), we are not travel or rental agents, we run them privately as our long-term pension fund. We hope to retire out there someday, in the meantime we maintain and look after them as anyone would their own home.

Why they chose this property

Although much expanded, Nerja is a traditional old town, with many narrow streets and the great focal point of the Balcon de Europa. It has very few 'high-rise' buildings compared to many towns along the coast. The location, just off the motorway, gives easy access to the coast, the mountains and the historic towns of Andalucia.

What makes this property unique

The views - some of the best in Nerja, with a horizon pool looking across the valley. The privacy and quietness of the area, but close to everything you would need on a holiday.
