For the second time, we spend holiday in Richard’s cottage. The cottage is very charming and perfectly suited for the accomodation of two people. We really enjoyed the terrasse, the pool and the garden. Even on hot days, the cottage is easily cooled down. The historical city with restaurants and shopping is in walking distance.

My wife stated this was the best place we have rented over the years. The property was gorgeous, the pool was refreshing, the car garage safe, and the host readily available to make our stay even better. The village of Vence is charming and quiet compared to busy Nice. This place is a gem.

Richard was a wonderful host! He showed us all the amenities and how to use them, and provided a cheery and pleasant check in & check out process. The cottage was adorable, the gardens were beautifully cultivated, and the AC system was EXCELLENT! Even in the heatwave, it kept the whole cottage cool. The pool and pool area was lovely, and we appreciated being able to use the grill to cook dinner. Cottage was a short walk from the center of Vence so we could walk and get dinner. Highly recommend Richard and his cottage!

A lovely cottage with beautiful grounds including a sparkling pool. Parking available in a garage on the property. Great location for exploring nearby hill top villages and a trip to Monaco by train. Close to bus stop to catch free bus into town center. Charming and helpful host, Richard. Highly recommend!

Charming hosts and great location

This is our 3rd visit to Anne and Richard's lovely cottage and there will be a fourth next year. As ever Anne and Richard are charming, discreet and attentive hosts and the cottage is a delight ideally situated for the village and exploring the area. The cottage is perfectly presented and has everything needed.

Relaxing Break

Lovely property - very well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful garden with pool and outdoor eating area - perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Short walk to Vence old town restaurants, bars and shops. Very friendly, helpful host.

A slice of Provence heaven

We stayed 2 weeks in this lovely home from home just a short walk from the town centre. Accommodation perfect for the 2 of us. Beautiful garden and lovely pool to come back to after a day out. Thoroughly recommend it. We would definitely come back. Thank you Richard.

We highly recommend this lovely place

We had the most relaxing holiday in this delightful cottage. It has everything you need and is clean and comfortable. The art work is very interesting and there were flowers inside and in the beautiful garden. Richard, the host, will help with anything. We loved the pool and swam every day and our car enjoyed it’s own private garage! There is a shop very near for anything you need and many restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend this lovely place.

Excellent property

I enjoyed a very comfortable stay at the gîte. Richard was a great host, very welcoming and eager to offer help and advice. The property was very well equipped and the pool and garden were fantastic. I would highly recommend this property. Vence is a good base for exploring the area.

Lovely property and excellent host

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Immaculately kept property, lovely well kept gardens and swimming pool. Every detail has been thought of and catered for. Richard is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. He was most helpful during our 4 night stay. Location is very good for the town, restaurants and local buses. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Stay in Vence

We had a good time, visiting, museums and chapels in the area and walking around Vence old town. It was very convenient to the old town area and restaurants. The major drawback was that the bathroom is. In the main floor cottage and the sleeping is in the loft upstairs

Lovliest home and village!

If you visit the area, youll not find a more amazing and beautiful home. We fell in love with the house and the community. Right out side our door were cafes and restaurants, a farmers market with wonderful foods and vendors. We will likely make it a special trip to return.

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Richards. He was very helpful with local info.and marked out a couple of trips on the map into the Alps. Local town a ten minute stroll, with good selection of restaurants. Lovely pool , slightly on the chilly side due to weather and beware the mosquitoes. Graham and Val

A very relaxing stay in Vence

Thank you to Anne and Richard for a very relaxing stay in the town of Vence. The chalet was equipped with everything you could wish for. The aircon in the bedroom was a real bonus and made the hot summer nights comfortable for sleeping. A short walk into town for shops and restaurants makes the car redundant. All in all a wonderful relaxing break and we hope to return in the future.

Thank you guys for taking the time to write this lovely review. Appreciate that you Carl and Debra just wanted to relax together by the pool however for other guests we would recommend hiring a car as there is so much more to see in the surrounding area which would be a pity to miss while here in Vence. Date of arrival 25th July !!
