Secluded Villa With Private Salt Water Pool. Air Conditioning
Villa Yasumo is situated in a stunning 4000 sq. m plot, comprising of a small vineyard, olive grove and unusually, a large flat grassed area around the house, salt water pool and patio.
The beautiful villa comfortably sleeps 6, with 3 double bedrooms over 2 floors. On the ground floor the kitchen living/dining room and the ground floor bedroom are all south facing and open onto the patio. There is also and shower room, toilet and a utility room with fridge (and freezer compartment), washing machine. The living-dining room, has a beautiful large dining table, Smart TV, sofas, and armchairs, with large double doors opening on to the grassed area. The well stocked provencal kitchen is complete with a second fridge, double-sink unit, dishwasher, eye lever cooker, ceramic hob, coffee machine, toaster and a microwave. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms and a family bathroom. There is high speed Wifi.
The barbecue area is under the covered patio, where you also find Lazy Susan table and chairs, perfect for family or group meals. The shaded patio sits directly in front of the house and can be accessed from patio doors from the kitchen, living -dining room and downstairs bedroom. Sitting on the patio, you can enjoy with a glass of wine, look at the beautiful view, and keep an eye on the kids in the pool.
The 10 x 5m salt-water swimming pool is classically lined with mosaic-blue tiles and accessed via roman steps. The large patio surrounds the pool and is equipped with with sun loungers and sun shades. The pool alarm is compliant with French Law.
The pool is lined by a lovely level grassed area and there are also mulberry trees, providing further shaded area and lemon trees.
The garden and pool are completely private and have amazing views across the valley.
The villa is ideally situated for day trips either inland to the amazing Gorges du Verdon, or the famous perfume town of Grasse or south to Ste Maxime and St Tropez. We recommend that if you want to visit St Tropez, you park your car at Ste Maxime and take the ferry across the bay to St Tropez (approx. 15 minutes), which takes you through St Tropez harbour to the quayside and passing all the fantastic yachts! Day trips to Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Cannes St Raphael and Frejus are also possible. The market in Flayosc is on a Monday morning and while small is very interesting. However the market in the nearby town of Lorgues, which is on a Tuesday morning, is probably the most famous in the area and is very large and the stall holders sell a large variety of goods. Alternatively, you just relax in the calm of the villa and its large private garden.

We spent a very pleasant 2 weeks with our two grown up sons and elderly mother at this beautiful villa in the heart of Provence. We enjoyed visiting the local markets, the gorge de Verdon and beautiful scenery. Totally relaxing away from the usual pressure of work and day to day life. 🙂

You are perfect guests
The villa was lovely and spacious. The pool and gardens were amazing with lots of room for the children to run around and play. The little town was lovely to wonder around and the people were really friendly. Duncan met us and showed us around and gave us lots of tips for days out. Thank you for making your home feel like ours.

The villa was beautiful with a gorgeous private pool, very well equipped throughout with comfortable furniture and a kitchen with everything we needed. Set in a stunning tranquil location, just on the edge of Flayosc and with the shady old paths easily accessible. It was perfect for running, cycling and walking. Would highly recommend and would love to return ASAP!

Fabulous holiday, wonderful house, pool & location. Definitely recommend & will be back.
What a beautiful Provencal house, fully equipped and very comfortable. Home from home. We had a wonderful week and didn’t want to leave. The pool is just amazing! Great size and salt water, which is great for those of us who have an intolerance to chlorine. The beautiful lush green garden is very private and provides lots of shade. The location is tranquil and not overlooked. Duncan is a great host/manager who was always available to help out. He bought us provisions for our arrival and gave us great tips for places to visit and eat at. He also gave us some great running routes for our early morning runs. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return soon.

Great house and pool
My family and I stayed at the house for the first week in July. (3 kids at 6 and 12 years old)We got great directions to the house and had no trouble finding it. We were greated welcome by a lovely woman and her husband. The weather was great and the kids swam in the pool at every hour during the day. The temperatur in the water was excellent. (27-31). I am glad for the parasols at the pool and the patio. We ate almost every meal outside in the lovely shade.
The beds in the house was comfty and the rooms was spacious.
The area was quite and the only sound to hear was the grasshoppers (and somtimes some dogs)Lovely rabbits running in the garden at night time.
The village of Flayosc is beautiful. I would reccomend strolling around there and perhaps drive to Gorge de verdon and Moustier Saint-Marie. It was breathtaking. We survived without AC but at night time that would have been lovely. The house has two electrial fans for use. We used the Windows shutters, they are great and very french. We loved opening them in the morning.
We loved staying here for a week and we would defently love to come back. ( the kids wanted us to buy the place 😁)
Thanks to the owner for letting us stay.
Best regards Anders &Linn

Thank you for your review and feedback. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I am trying to make improvements each year This year the pool system was installed which automatically controls the PH,
Maybe I will look into the possibility of aircon as this summer has been particularly hot even in June,
Best regards,
Phil

The public road to the property is of course the responsibility of the council. The house itself, the furnishings and all sanitary ware are in good condition and typical of a property in rural Provence. The one hectare site which includes an excellent 10x5m pool is complete with olive trees and mulberry trees and plenty of shaded areas. The whole site is completely private with excellent views and not overlooked

Lovely location and outdoor area
A wonderful holiday in this lovely hilltop villa near Flayosc. Top of the things we loved were the grounds, garden and pool. We had a couple of bbqs and really enjoyed the cool shade of the outdoor dining area.

Located on the fringe of Floyosc amidst olive groves and vineyards, the villa was just perfect.
We had everything we needed in the villa. It was spacious and well equipped, well maintained and spotless on arrival. We were met by a very friendly and helpful lady. There was wine in the fridge-which after a 20 hour drive was very welcome. We cooked on the bbq most nights, sitting outside beneath the shaded verandah. On several nights we saw a wild hermanns tortoise in the garden! The pool was a great size for a family of 5-with two teenagers. The villa was in a fabulous location for exploring the Cote d' azur but we always looked forward to coming back to the tranquility of the villa and pool after visiting busy Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez (go early to avoid massive traffic jams at St Tropez). The gorge du verdon was also accessible from the villa by car and made a great contrast to the famous resorts on the coast. Kayaking and canyoning are a must -organised at Castellane.
Floyosc was very pretty and welcoming and had a great morning market on a monday and night market on a friday. Also good restaurants to choose from -affordable too, from pizza to the lovely L'Oustaou!
We would all love to go back and stay in the villa again.

Wow ! Where do you start !
What a fabulous Villa with stunning views. The Owners have provided everything needed and it was a pleasure to enjoy breakfast each morning overlooking the pool but shaded from the sun. A few minutes drive takes you into the heart of Flayosc for the croissants and bread, making a note of the restaurants and bars for later in the day. The lounge is big and airy with plenty of comfortable seating if you do come indoors and the bedrooms provide for a good nights sleep. The pool was always warm and provided safe swimming for Grandad (me) and the Grandchildren (age 3 and 5) and of course for everyone. Our local lady, Jocelyn (and husband), were very helpful and available if needed. In Carces, the restaurant L'Olalpa provided a superb 3 course Menu du Jour for €11.90, including wine and Chez Martine in Villecroze is good value for money (following a visit to the Grottes!) All in all this has to be the best Villa we, as a family, have stayed in and I would recommend it to anyone. The Owners were always happy to advise and assist both before and after arriving - thank you. Peter, Norma, Fraser, Claire, William (5) and Francesca (3)

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Rodd
Our family have been coming to this beautiful part of the world for over 20 years and love the peace and tranquility.
Why they chose this property
I first came here 25 years ago and fell in love with the area. We spent over 2 years looking for the right place and luckily stumbled upon this property as we had almost given up. We have loved spending time here ever since.
What makes this property unique
The villa is a perfect place to totally relax as the property is very quiet and has lovely views. The village of Flayosc is buzzing, has many great restaurants and facilities and a little further afield you can visit Draguignan, St. Tropez or Ste. Maxine.
