We ( including two dogs) had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Lilac Cottage- the location was great for us. We had delicious meals at both the Black Swan and the Red Lion ( would advise pre- booking as they're both really popular) and our coastal walks made the holiday perfect. The Swanage steam railway and Corfe castle are a real bonus for all ages.

The house is a beautiful quaint cottage. Well kept, everything you need. Clean and tidy. Beautiful quiet surrounds. John was very good communicator and kept us up to date with changes. Would definitely recommend!

A cute, comfortable and cosy cottage with lots of space, a large outside space and very convenient for town. A short walk to a nearby nature reserve where there are amazing views of the coast.

The cottage is lovely, having been sympathetically modernised and decorated. Location is excellent, with walking distance of the town centre and beach. The best pub for food and drinks , imo, the Black Swan 5 mins walk. Will book again

This is a charming cottage. Don’t be put off by the rather gloomy front room at the entrance of the property. As you walk through to the back the light floods into a well stocked bright kitchen with views over a generous back garden with roses round the door.The cottage is a short walk from town and that means it is quiet but still close to amenities (there’s a supermarket five minutes away.) It was 30 degrees when we visited and the thick walls kept the property refreshingly cool.Lilac Cottage is very good value and we certainly recommend it to those escaping the heat and bustle of city life.7

Really enjoyed our stay. A true cottage in the real sense. It was like home from home with the family memorabilia adding to the cosy, warm ambiance. The garden is a real gem and I can imagine in the summer it being a haven away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town. Thank you.

Great location

Lovely dog walks from the property, nice enclosed garden, good local pub, excellent location for high street too. The cottage was very well equipped, comfy bed, but did feel a bit damp & musty, however it is an old cottage so this is to be expected.
