Ground floor: fully equipped large kitchen, dining area, sofa bed, and wraparound porch with BBQ.

Well insulated with double-glazed windows and doors, warm duvets, heating & A/C for year-round comfort.

Fast internet, Smart TV, and dedicated workspace — ideal for online workers and digital nomads.

Location & surroundings:
Situated between 2 Natural Parks (Grazalema & Los Alcornocales), with easy day trips to Ronda, Granada, Seville, Jerez, Marbella, Tarifa, Mediterranean & Atlantic beaches, lakes, caves, and white villages.
Village amenities — shops, fresh produce, local cheeses, fish, meat, saltwater municipal pool (summer), padel & tennis courts, playground — all within walking distance.

Rates & utilities:
Winter rates / long-term stays do not include electricity (there is a meter in the house). Gas is provided in bottles (approx. €15 each), usually enough for one month.

We had a lovely week in Cortes de la Frontera. The Finca is outstanding with its spanish designed interior. The garden is lovely arranged and full of green and blooming plants. After long hot walks in the surrounding area we were always happy to return to the house and garden were we took some cooling swimms in the pool and relaxed on the surrounding terace. Very recommended.

A lovely, peaceful and relaxing place

We totally enjoyed our stay at the property. It was exactly what we hoped for - rustic and a little bit quirky but also it had everything that we needed for a relaxing and totally enjoyable stay. Joanna is a lovely host and a very interesting person. Of course, Osso and Ella (here two dogs) are adorable and the two cats paid us regular visits too. The outside space is a joy, eating breakfast and dinner outside every day in such lovely surroundings. Location wise, being on the edge of the village was perfect. Quiet and relaxing but with the village amenities a few minutes walk away. We had a great stay.

Mountain idyll.

We have just arrived home from a wonderful 2 weeks in La Fontana. It is an idyllic property that lies just outside the lovely town of Cortes de la Frontera. The house's proximity to the town meant we were able to walk to 2 very good restaurants and roll back having eaten good tapas and drunk local wine. The house is well equipped and utterly charming. The views from the garden/pool are everything you could hope for in hiring a house in the mountains. A special mention must go to Oso, Joanna's wonderful dog, who made us feel completely at home. He is a gentle giant, and we already miss him.

Maison confortable, au calme, dans un jardin de rêve.

Nous avons passé 12 nuits en famille dans cette jolie maison spacieuse, confortable et bien équipée. Nous avons apprécié la situation de la maison et de son magnifique jardin. Au calme, face à la montagne, en bordure du village où on peut se rendre à pied et où il y a tous les commerces: supermarchés, poissonnerie, bars, restaurants, banques, station essence etc... Joanna est une personne très discrète mais soucieuse du bien-être des vacanciers. Disponible, elle répond tout de suite à nos demandes si besoin. Toute la famille a vraiment apprécié le séjour dans ce coin typique de l'Andalousie, au milieu de ses villages blancs et à seulement 35 minutes de la magnifique ville de RONDA.

El sitio es precioso, hay muchas cosas que hacer por los alrededores, hay rutas de senderismo, de montaña, se pueden visitar muchos pueblos, nosotros hemos hecho de todo, íbamos 4 con dos niñas y no hemos parado. La casa está fenomenal, con chimenea y barbacoa, hemos estado como en casa! El entorno de la casa es precioso, con césped y piscina y el porche precioso. Joanna excelente anfitriona, recomiendo esta casa 100%. Queremos volver en verano 😉

Perfecto para desconectar

Es un lugar ideal para descansar y desconectar de la rutina. La casa está perfectamente equipada con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días de relax . No dispone de TV pero nos vino muy bien para hacer otro tipo de actividades y cómo dispone de Wifi, cualquier necesidas está cubierta con los móviles. Los niños no pararon de disfrutar de la piscina y los mayores no nos separamos de la barbacoa ;) En definitiva, nos ha encantado a todos y Joanna es una anfitriona maravillosa. Esperamos volver pronto !!

Am Ortsrand gelegen, mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Grosser Stellplatz, Anwesen auf sehr großem Gelände mit schön angelegten Garten und Blick auf die Berge. Swimmingpool wird täglich gepflegt. Das Haus ist (typisch spanisch)rustikal ausgestattet, alle wichtigen Dinge sind vorhanden (inkl. Grillplatz auf Terrasse).Vermieterin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wohnt in der Nähe. Wir haben 3 Wochen in dieser Idylle sehr genossen.

La casa es perfecta, confortable, limpia, cuidada y muy tranquila. Rodeada de un precioso jardín y con maravillosas vistas. Está en el campo y a tan solo un paseo del pueblo. Destacaría las terrazas, perfectas para descansar y disfrutar del entorno. Totalmente recomendable.

Nous avons passé 10 jours dans la maison de Joanna. La maison est conforme aux photos, et même encore plus belle en réalité. Très bien équipée, décorée avec goût avec de nombreuses toiles très intéressantes. La piscine est splendide, réellement privée, avec une vue à couper le souffle. Cortes de la Frontera est un village blanc très agréable, avec de multiples bars, restaurants à tapas, et commerces. Nous vous conseillons l'excellent la Puerte de Atras avec sa petite terrasse avec également une vue splendide. Prix dérisoires des tapas. Les chiens de Joanna sont un bonus, une compagnie très agréable même si nous avions notre propre animal. Joanna est très discrète et on sent qu'elle veille à ce que tout se passe bien. Parfait de bout en bout. Location de grande qualité.

Peaceful, comfortable and fun house in a perfect location for exploring and close to a pretty town

The house and garden made for a perfect rural retreat for us! The house was spacious and pretty with comfortable beds and lovely hot showers and well equipped with everything you could need. The best part of the house is the garden and outdoor space - lots of areas to sit and relax in sun or shade, plenty of space for the kids to play and of course the pool which was great fun. We enjoyed having daily visits from Joanna's dogs which just added to the homely feel. The house is a few minutes walk into the village which was great to get provisions and has plenty of places to get a coffee, a meal or a lovely cake - we all enjoyed the bakery! Cortes de la frontera is a fabulous town, with an authentic feel. Great to be among the locals and to enjoy a real Spanish atmosphere. It's also brilliantly located, close to national parks (cork forest walks on the doorstep) and within easy striking distance of Ronda (a stunning mountain drive away) with all that has to offer and other white villages such as Gaucin, Cassares etc. Joanna was there to greet us and we appreciated the beautiful flowers she had placed around the house. It was good to know she was here if we needed any advice but we found our way around without a hitch and the Cortes TIC was helpful for walk suggestions. We all had a fantastic holiday and we're delighted with our choice of place to stay. Highly recommended!

Lovely property with good views

This is a lovely property with good views and the garden is pretty. Not suitable for two couples as hardly any wardrobe space or privacy upstairs but ideal for a young family with children although the interior stairs are pretty steep. The access road is extremely steep but it did get easier (!) to walk after a while. The dogs are very affectionate and loving, even if a bit noisy at night. Joanna is a very helpful host and is on hand if there are any problems. The town itself is really pretty with some interesting old buildings.

Property pretty basic no luxuries. Entrance difficult but setting nicely situated.

Was quite a shock when first arrived but gradually got used to it as did not want to spoil our holiday. Property rustic and basic but served its purpose. Did feel that a good spring clean could have been carried out. Plenty of hot water for baths and showers. Felt that the windows needed curtains for some privacy especially in the bathroom. The main bed was only a double so the spare bed was used. The sheets and bedding needed to be replaced with new.

Dear Alex with wife. None of my guests complained about the cleanliness of the house before, on the contrary, and I hope nobody will do it in the future. I will do my best to ensure that they do not have reason to do so. Regarding curtains: I did not care to hang them up because I partly am not a fan of curtains, partly because nobody has access to the garden except me (and I do not peep, I swear) and partly because I do not want to obscure the view of the garden. I will though considerate to hang them. and will be happy if people can take advantage and enjoy what I and this wonderful place I am managing can offer: genuine little white village with friendly people, nature, flowering garden, relaxation and art with, NOTE, steep 200m long axess.

I am a visual artist, passionate amateur landscape gardener and the builder of what in the future could result in a realized dream of living in beautiful surroundings in harmony with nature. I came here in 2010 and started the project with the reconstruction of the house and construction of the garden. Then I started the renovation of dilapidated small houses on the estate. This resulted in a small house / studio I now live and work in when I'm not working with the garden and preparing the big house before guests' arrival. Welcome.

What makes this property unique

Direct proximity to urban amenities (healthcare, banks, shops, bars and cafes, tourist information etc.) in a beautiful white village yet in the middle of nature. The garden is full of flowers, herbs and birdsong. The soft hills around with olive groves echo with the sound of grazing sheep while swinging in the hammock in the shade or resting on a sun lounger on the porch or on the terrace with spectacular views where you can see eagles circling in the daytime and at night watch the moon sink behind the mountains.
