Purgatory skiing minutes away. Wow what a value, a 5 bedroom home with a wood burning Fireplace and Hot Tub! It is a great place to relax after a long day of skiing, hiking or mountain biking. For a $100 fee bring your beloved dog. Pack&Play and high-chair available for younger children.

Perfect for a multi-family with 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. Also great for a long week of skiing or hiking with plenty of room to spread out. The attached garage, mud room and hooks for storage throughout the house make it easy to stay organized for all of your activities. Try out the snow shoes that are available for your use! Ample parking out front for three vehicles in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood just off 550, a mile and change from the entrance to Purgatory Ski resort. Only 30 minutes to downtown Durango and 20 minutes to Silverton. Lovely home, serene and super-convenient to hiking and many outdoor activities, lots of space, and comfy. This charming mountain cabin is surrounded by alluring Colorado beauty and offers a peaceful escape. You may see deer, elk, and other wildlife right out your window.

The home has a fully equipped kitchen, wifi, wood burning fireplace, and satellite 55 inch Roku TV with a DVD and VCR player.

Nature lovers, sportsmen, adventure lovers, artists, and folks looking for a quiet spot to just sit and relax will love this cozy cabin. So grab your gear, hiking boots and camera, and prepare to enjoy the loveliness of Durango. However you will need four wheel drive in the winter months. There is a lake for its scenic views however it is a private lake and there is no fishing or boating allowed.

The home is Eco Friendly in that we have Solar Panels and there is a 220V outlet in the garage for EV vehicles, however you must have your own charging cord is required.

Great cabin with great location

The Pinecone Cabin was an optimal place for our ski team to stay in. Really close to Purgatory Ski Resort, but tucked away in a great location. The house was very clean and had plenty of room to stretch out. We will definitely look to stay here again if we ever come back!

Beautiful cabin retreat

The property was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Extremely clean and check in and out was easy. Location was perfect short walk to a beautiful lake and close to purgatory resort. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

Great stay.

This house was the perfect size for our family group of 10. We also appreciated that the kitchen had everything we could need including extras such as paper towels. The hot tub was a big hit with our group. Most of all, the location was so beautiful.

Large house close to the slopes!

We had our annual Family Ski Trip at Purgatory, and this house was perfect for everyone! The location is so close to the mountain, and there are enough rooms for everyone. Plus the “mud room” provides plenty of space for everyone’s ski equipment. And the hot tub is a great! Highly recommend!

Gorgeous views and trees

Awesome house for a big family vacation. There was 10 of us and plenty of room. Only down side was besides the master bedroom all of the beds were really uncomfortable.

Third annual road trip for two families with kids

Great house, location, and property manager. There’s lots to do and see outdoors in this area. The immediate community (Lake of the Pines) is very scenic and we were fine not venturing out one of the days of our stay. I highly recommend walking or biking to the neighborhood lake.

Close to purgatory

7 of us stayed at this cabin, it was a great place to stay about a 5 minute drive to purgatory for snowboarding. Plenty of space for all of us with an extra room, we had a great experience with the house and our dogs loved playing out in the snow!

Incredible Home/Stay

We had an incredible stay. The house has plenty of room and was so warm and cozy. There was a record amount of snow when we stayed. We really enjoyed our “snow in” day watching DVD’s and playing games that were all provided. Owner communication was stellar. We will be back, for sure.

Cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway. It had everything you needed to cook and for entertainment! Plenty of space for 5 bedrooms! The hot tub was a plus! We had a lot of snow there when we went and they plowed the roads making it easy to get in and out. It is very close to Purg making it quick to go and come. Owner was very easy to work with. Would love to stay there again!

Couldn't have asked for a better place

Everything was as-advertised. Location is perfect for exploring the San Juans, halfway between Silverton and Durango. The place and hot tub were clean and Kevin was responsive to questions. When we go back to Durango area again I will be sure to check with Kevin to see if the place is available to use again.

Easy to get to. Close to resort. Clean and great communication. Would love to have had a hose to clean mountain bikes. No spigot I could find
