Goosepond is a beautiful brick-built cottage situated down a small country lane, on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Woolston near to the village of Wistanstow, in the heart of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and can sleep two people in one super king-size bedroom (zip/link). There is a family bathroom. The rest of the property contains an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. To the outside of the property there is off road parking for one car in a communal parking area and a patio area with furniture. Goosepond is an ideal romantic retreat for those looking to explore Shropshire.

Amenities: Oil underfloor heating and woodburning stove. Electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine with pods, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, Netflix, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and wood for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate on request. Off road parking in communal parking area for 1 car. A lovely peaceful cottage, you need a car as it is 1.5 miles up a single track road. Owners were kind and friendly, left a welcome basket of food and popped in to see us early evening the day we arrived and just before we left. Didn't meet Ellie but spoke to her on the phone and she helped with a couple of questions I had before we left home.The cottage was lovely and clean and had everything we needed.There was plenty of information about places to visit which really helped as it was our first visit to Shropshire. Stunning scenery, especially if you enjoy hill walking.

The perfect spot

We found Goosepond to be a really lovely place for two people. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, there was a welcome pack of bread, milk, eggs, butter and cake, and a friendly and helpful welcome from the owner Ellie. The location was just perfect for us, being conveniently situated for all the great places there are to explore in Shropshire.
