Fully renovated, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath ocean side beach cottage in Salvo, Hatteras Colony, Outer Banks, N.C. Bedrooms: Master - Queen Bed w flat screen Roku TV, 2nd - Queen Bed w flat screen Roku TV, 3rd - Pyramid Bunk with double on bottom and single on top w flat screen Roku TV. Sheets Provided! 2 Full baths: 1st in master w shower, 2nd in hall with tub/shower combo and hose shower head. Updated kitchen with fully loaded inventory. Open concept living/dining room. Living room has a large 55" Roku TV. Books, board games, and throw blankets are there for you to enjoy. Washer/dryer. Enjoy the WiFi, outdoor shower, 5 person hot tub, 2 screened in porches, 2 level sun decks. Walk over the dunes to the beach or drive minutes to the sound side for wind surfing, paddle boarding, jet skiing, etc. Walk 3 blocks to ice cream shop. Linens included (not towels). Keurig and drip coffee makers, toaster, microwave, blender, hand mixer all available for your use.

Huge double lot with private grilling station and picnic table area. Great sandbar right in front of house for those who like to surf!

Hands down our favorite outer banks stay yet. Hosts were lovely, helpful, available. House was well appointed and conveniently located. Lots of extra touches, very thoughtfully maintained and appointed. Hot tub was great! We will definitely be back!

A wonderful getaway

We stated a week at the captains watch. The house was so well laid out for our group of 5. The kitchen is fully stocked which is always nice. The walk to the beach was so short. We had a great time! It was our first time staying in salvo and we were already talking about next year on our way home!

Great Stay for Humans and Canines!

We enjoyed our stay! Great Location!!Thank you for being Pet Friendly. We were able to go Paddle Boarding with our dogs at the near by Sound Side Beach. As well as day visits to Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands!

Enjoyed our time there!

Even with the power outage it was really a nice visit. So enjoyed the house and believe it or not the outside shower was a life saver! House provided a lot of what we needed for entertainment at home and on the beach. Would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic Find

Our Girls' Beach Week was fabulous. This cottage was so comfy and clean. The outdoor seating and hot tub are a plus. Quick walk to the beach and close to the Tri-villages restaurants and shops. The host family are wonderful to communicate with. We will stay again 💕

Relaxing time away

This property was just the right size for meeting the needs of a small family. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes making it easy to enjoy sunrise on the beach every morning. We enjoyed the added amenities of having a hot tub and screened porch for relaxing.

This wonderful cottage has all a family needs to relax and feel at home. The hot tub was an added bonus, as was the extremely well equipped kitchen. The outside shower and top deck were amazing.

Amazing stay

We loved this place! Had literally every kitchen gadget and supply you would need which was great! Beach access across the street and the cart they have is great to get over the dunes! Felt private and yet close to everything. Hot tub was wonderful and we enjoyed every evening on the crows nest after our baby went to bed. Great for families and our dog loved the beach and neighborhood. Highly recommend and hope to stay again!

Relaxing and convenient getaway!

The Captain's Watch was perfect for our getaway with family and friends! We loved the quiet neighborhood with close beach access. Being able to walk to the ice cream shop was a big plus for everyone in our group! This home was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had all the utensils and appliances we needed to cook meals on a few nights. Would highly recommend this host and property.

Great vacation

The captains watch is a great place to spend your vacation. It is located on a very private corner lot, which is nice when your relaxing in the hot tub. Kitchen has everything you could possibly think of if you like to cook, and they also have board games for the family. Overall, it is a clean and well kept home. 1st time staying at this property and won’t be our last! Perfect size for our family of four, outdoor shower absolute necessity for beach, hot tub & rooftop deck amazing to relax & enjoy the stars & sunsets every night! 5-7 minute walk to toes in the water for our youngest (7 yr. old) while carrying a few sand toys over the beautiful sand dunes. Such amazing sunrises!

Fun Week!

This was our second stay at Captain's Watch and we enjoyed ourselves once again! The cottage is a comfortable fit for our family of 4, well stocked with kitchen necessities if you plan to cook, and very close to the beach access. Family oriented neighborhood with uncrowded streets for the kids to go bike riding and a nice size yard for them to play in as well. Quick and easy communications with the homeowners as well. Thanks again for a great week at the ocean!

Welcome to our home! We live in Newport News and have enjoyed this special cottage for several years with our family and friends. Since our children are getting older and their schedules busier, we decided to make our house available for others to enjoy. We love to cook! We hope you enjoy the granite counter tops, large cabinets and cookware. Please feel free to use whatever you need and make yourself at home. We find the mattresses comfortable and cozy. If you need on site help during your stay, our Property Manger is Hatteras Helping Hands. Enjoy, relax, look at the stars...

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location...says it all. The beach access is right across the street, the large corner lot provides lots of privacy. The house is completely renovated, clean and easy to manage. The kitchen is bright, has storage for your items and everything you need to prepare as many meals as you want. The outdoor shower is great and so is the 5 person hot tub. Walk to ice cream, ride bikes, enjoy the peace and quiet of Salvo. There is no place like it. And the beach....we have never seen it crowded. It's wide and clean. There is lots of room to play, surf, pick shells. From the beach, look for the mile post 42 sign in the dunes and take the path to the left to get back to the cottage. Easy living.

What makes this property unique

Large corner lot with trees offers lots of privacy. Ocean beach access right across the street. Kitchen has everything you need to make cooking a breeze. The large living room and two screened in porches provides plenty of room to spread out. Central air, WiFi, 4 flat screen TVs and a sky full of stars. All you need is a bottle of wine, your streaming passwords, a HDMI cable and the kid's laptops! There are also restaurants and a little grocery/sandwich shop a few blocks away. There is a new dollar store that offers so much more that your average dollar store. It's definitely worth checking out. Walk to Village Conery! We LOVE Salvo and hope you do too!
