Villa (max 8 p.) in Begur, private pool 8x4, outdoor kitchen, sunny large garden

Dear Marco, unfortunately we cannot do anything more about the 1 star rating and your review feels very unjustified! Our pool was newly built less than 5 years ago and is cleaned twice a week by a professional. You guys complain that the pool is dirty because there are a few leaves in it after it blew!!! And you complain about this not only to us but even harass the person who cleans the pool about this! Furthermore, you say that there are dogs that bark all day. In Spain people have dogs and they bark from time to time. There is not much we can do about that and it is certainly not all day. There is a room without air conditioning because it faces north and no air conditioning is needed there. And certainly not in the period (September) that you were there. As you have read in the ad, our house is located in the "Muntanyes de Begur", the mountains of Begur. So it is not surprising that you have to deal with stairs. If you do not want this you should not rent a house but an apartment. Totally awesome is what you say about the little wooden house. This is about 25m2! Moreover, you were allowed to use it for FREE, so why do you say we charge a lot of rent for it?! And finally you write that Begur is far away. It is a 20 minute walk and if you have read the ad you could have read this too. Our house has a plot of 1200m2, then it is logical that it is not in the middle of the village. Again, then you should have rented an apartment, without pool and stairs, in the middle of the village. It seems that you had absolutely no idea what you had rented. We find it very inappropriate that you are speaking so negatively about our vacation home with this review. There is a lot of love in our house and as you can read from the other reviews, fortunately there are many tenants who can appreciate it!

Lieber Thomas, ich finde diese Kritik völlig ungerechtfertigt. Das Müllsystem ist etwas, auf das wir keinen Einfluss haben, sondern das von der Gemeinde Begur vorgeschrieben wird. Wir bieten unseren Gästen sogar die Möglichkeit, mit einem Passierschein Zugang zu einer Abfallentsorgungsstelle zu erhalten. Darüber eine negative Bewertung zu schreiben, obwohl es nichts mit unserem Haus zu tun hat, ist sehr ungerecht. Ihre Bemerkung über die Klimaanlage hätte man durch die Tatsache ergänzen können, dass wir sie sofort reparieren ließen und sie danach wieder voll funktionsfähig war. Ihre Bemerkung, dass das Haus nicht sauber war, überrascht uns sehr, denn unsere Reinigungskräfte haben uns gesagt, dass Sie das Haus sehr schmutzig hinterlassen und unsere Sachen mit Respektlosigkeit behandelt haben. Wenn Sie frühere Bewertungen lesen, ist es klar, dass das Haus sehr sauber war, aber Sie haben eine Sauerei gemacht.....

Goed om te horen dat jullie een fijne vakantie hebben gehad! En zoals gezegd, ook in de mei- en herfstvakantie is het erg lekker qua temperatuur, dus misschien wel tot de volgende vakantie! En anders wellicht gewoon weer een keer in de zomer:-)
