About this property

Casa Selva. Relax Beach with Privacy, Birds Jungle

Casa Selva is an intimate retreat for two, nestled within the Palapa Ganesh property. Surrounded by lush vegetation, this cozy apartment offers the opportunity to disconnect from the world and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Enjoy your private terrace while listening to the gentle sound of waves and birdsong. With direct access to a beach with privacy and a small ocean pool, it's the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and create unforgettable memories. Casa Selva is the most intimate and authentic corner of our 5-acre reserve. Designed for those seeking true "barefoot luxury," it is the perfect sanctuary for couples wishing to wake up to the song of exotic birds and the soft murmur of the Pacific. The Space: This organic, open-concept retreat removes the barriers between you and nature. Its private terrace is the heart of the experience: a strictly personal space to enjoy absolute serenity or share a glass of wine as the sunset light filters through the jungle. Life in the Reserve and Beach: The house is located within an exclusive eco-estate that hosts a few other independent residences. While your room and terrace are private, the jungle trails and coastal access are shared spaces with the few other guests in the reserve. At the end of these trails, you will discover our coastline and the signature natural ocean pool; a pristine environment that, although legally public like all beaches in Mexico, feels highly private due to the surrounding cliffs. During your stay, you will have access to your private room and terrace. To enjoy the surroundings, you can walk along the reserve's trails leading toward the ocean. About the coastline and the natural pool: A few minutes' walk away, you will find an ocean pool formed among the rocks. Please consider the following to ensure a pleasant experience: Public Nature: In compliance with Mexican law, all beaches are public. Although the reserve's location makes it rare to see outsiders, the beach and this natural formation are open spaces. Space to Refresh: This is not a swimming pool, but a small natural tide pool ideal for cooling off and relaxing while listening to the sea. Tide Dependency: The pool is in constant flux. The ocean follows a cycle of two high tides and two low tides per day; therefore, the water level and its appearance vary drastically depending on the time. Shared Use: This area is a natural meeting point for the few guests staying at the residences within the reserve. lutely respect your privacy during your stay. We want you to feel as if Casa Selva is your own private sanctuary. However, you won't be alone. We are always available and attentive through the VRBO platform or by phone for any questions, assistance, or local recommendations on the best spots in Sayulita and Punta Mita. We are not physically on the property permanently, but we are just a message away to ensure your jungle retreat is unforgettable. In the Patzcuaritos Neighborhood Jungle To ensure your jungle experience is pleasant and surprise-free, it is essential that you read and accept the following points before booking: The 4-Hour Golden Rule: To guarantee your satisfaction, any issues regarding cleanliness, maintenance, or functionality must be reported within the first 4 hours of your arrival. No subsequent claims, refund requests, or cancellations will be accepted for conditions present at the start of your stay if they were not reported during this window. Coexistence with Nature: Casa Selva features an organic, open-concept design. You agree to share the environment with local wildlife (birds, iguanas, coatis, and seasonal insects). This is part of the authentic experience of a pristine reserve and is not considered a lack of cleanliness or grounds for a complaint. Grocery Logistics: We are immersed in the peace of the jungle, 10 min in car from convenience stores, we recomend to do your grocery shopping before arrival. Access and Weather: Access is via a rustic jungle path with private maintenance. While any car can reach us, we highly recommend an SUV or truck for your comfort. Being in a rural area, internet, power, and water services depend on third-party providers and weather conditions; although we have backups, they may experience interruptions beyond our control. Natural Ocean Pool: This is a shared natural formation. Its water level depends on the two daily high and low tides. It is not a lap pool, and its appearance changes constantly.

A Perfect Sayulita Retreat for the Adventurous

We stayed here for 9 nights and had an amazing time. If you are looking for a real getaway, and don't mind a bit of "glamping" due to the partial open-air accomodation, then this is the place for you! Things to know: * There is a 10 minute drive on a windy and bumpy dirt-road to get to the property (but in our mind, it was well worth it). Make sure you don't arrive first time by night and ask for maps to get here... roads don't have names. 4WD ideal but we had a compact VW car and managed. * The kitchen, dining table, and one king bed is outside on a beautiful patio. The bedroom (with 2 double beds), bathroom, and closet is behind a sliding glass door with screen. When we went in December/Jan, the weather was beautiful and we never felt cold. * You can see the ocean in the distance and hear the sound of the waves constantly (gorgeous!)... "tame" jungle surrounds the property with the sound of exotic birds and cicadas * There are 2 different paths within walking distance to 2 different beaches: 1st beach (closest) is small, and at low tide has a tide pool that is safe for children and good crab watching; 2nd beach a little farther and requires a little hiking over rocks gets you to a bigger beach that is great for body surfing... both beaches are practically deserted!! Note to property owner: a map in room how to find paths to beaches would be helpful. * There is wifi but no landline telephone or tv (perfect for getting away) * There are caretakers on property, and for $10/day you can have room cleaned when you want. * There is a coati Mundi (raccoon like creature) that likes to tear through the garbage at night... my advice: put garbage cans in utility closet on side of building at night. * Overall bugs not bad, but make sure you don't leave food out (keep it in fridge), clean up after yourselves. There is small gas stove, coffee maker and toaster, but no microwave. * Limited small grocery stores in Sayulita. To buy more supplies: go to Walmart in Bucerias on the way to Sayulita. Because of the bumpy road in, we ate out in Sayulita once a day and made food at apartment for other meals. If you are looking for a real getaway, to unwind, be out in beautiful nature without the craziness of Sayulita... this is the place for you. We really got to unwind here and would definitely come back again. Thank you!

Weekend in Sayulita

The property is in a beautiful location with access to a private beach. It is a bit of a drive from Sayulita on a fairly rough road. Would recommend having your own car, I can't imagine that taxi's would be very convenient.
