Excellent gem of a find, perfect for a large group.Large enclosed back garden for pets & children was great & the swimming pool was just perfect for all our guests to enjoy. Everyone - young & older had a fabulous time.Host Timo was extremely accommodating. Thank you . We will come back.

Excellent property - the hosts thought of everything to ensure our stay was smooth! The cottage was ideal for hosting our party which was a mix of ages! Ample space and multiple bathrooms so no one was waiting around. It was particular suitable for elderly parents and kids with majority of bedrooms on the ground floor. The pool and hot tub (at perfect temperatures!) was a particular highlight of our stay not to mention the games room! Communication from the host was spot on!

This property was perfect for our needs, it felt like a home from home. This was a family get together (10 adults, 9 children) and there was plenty of space for everyone with enough break out areas. The pool was fantastic given our trip coincided with the heatwave! The garden is beautiful with plenty of shade and the games room and bar were great bonuses! Timo was on hand for any queries, which we were grateful for. Really couldn't fault the property, we had a fabulous time and will be going back

The facilities offered by the Thatched Cottage are excellent. The pool area was fantastic and much enjoyed by the whole of our 3 generation family. The house was huge and there were plenty of areas around the property to sit and relax and eat together.

The whole experience was wonderful. The pool, although cold was well used, followed by a dip in the hot tub. The little private pub was a hit, along with the games room. A beautiful venue for special ocasions. Comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and helpful hosts. Altogether amazing.

We held my daughters Hen here & it was absolutely perfect. The cotrage allows people to be together or have some time on their own. The pool & hot tub were fab. The only thing I would say the step in & out of the pool is steep but the handle helps you with that. We didn't think we would use the pub but actually we went down there & played games & it was such fun. The beds were comfortable & the shower was hot & powerful. I would recommend Luigi too, he comes to the house & prepares, cooks, serves & cleans up. The food was amazing. I had good communication with Susanna & Timo met us there & was very helpful.Whether you are a family gathering together or a party, stag/hen this cottage will enhance your stay. Book & enjoy

Lovely thatch cottage ideally situated for all the attractions that Dorset has to offer. Spacious accommodation and fantastic pool and hot tub. Definitely recommend.

We were a family of 18 on a 3 night stay and had such a brilliant time. It catered for us all - aged 1 to 92! The house is big enough for everyone to have their own space but come together around the fabulous dining room table. Lots of fun was had in the pool room, onsite pub and hot tub. From check in - right up to when we left Timo (the host) was beyond helpful. He made sure we were well informed, helped us with a few queries and was very generous with his time. We had a few issues with the house being cold when we arrived (it was March!) but within a couple of hours Timo ensured all was sorted and the fires were lit. Safe to say it was wonderfully warm the rest of our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant place to stay in the edge of the new forest; fantastic property with great amenities, including pool table, table tennis, bar and vest of all an outdoor pool with hot tub. Plenty of space for our large family group plus dog, with loads to do. Highly recommend this place

Ideal for our family get together and was helped by great weather. We were all sorry when we had to leave. The kids loved and made full use of the pool and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. The pub and games room were great features and were well used. Only one small point was that there were some dirty trays left in the oven. Would highly recommend for a similar group.

Birthday weekend

20 of us, aged between 75 and 8, stayed for a long weekend. It was the perfect location to house all of us, with plenty of space and activities for all, despite the biblical rain. We all loved it and will definitely return again one day!

A brilliant, unique venue

Adored staying at Thatch Cottage. I was hosting 9 guys on a fitness and wellbeing retreat and it worked perfectly for that purpose. And how often do you get to stay in a Thatch Cottage with a swimming pool in the middle?!

Weekend break
