Such a cool location! Quiet, quaint, and the outdoor bathtub was amazing. Only downsides were a non-working coffee maker, trouble with checking in, and a lack of communication responses from hosts with said issues.
The cabin was perfect: secluded, quiet, between Bryce and Zion. Betty’s communication was excellent, and we can't wait to stay again. The grill, the fire pit, the old stove, and the patio made the stay that much better. Only Negatives: tiny shower and bathroom, and the “hot tub' is just an old bathtub. If visiting in colder months, bring firewood and groceries—no nearby shops, which was fine for us, but could be tough with kids.
Very cozy and quiet cabin stay. Had everything we could’ve needed for our stay. Good communication with the host.

Perfect little escape
The Hideaway is a peaceful, beautifully designed cabin with a charming vintage vibe that’s absolutely worth the 25–45-minute drive to Zion and Bryce. Surrounded by trees and wildlife, it offers complete privacy, a cozy interior, and a spacious wrap-around deck, perfect for relaxing with morning coffee or evening sunsets. After exploring the parks, returning to this cozy retreat feels like the perfect way to end the day. It’s a quiet oasis that combines convenience, comfort, and true seclusion.
Fun location, very secluded. Closest grocery store is in Orderville which is about 12 minutes away. Easy to contact host. One star taken off for bathroom. There’s only one small bathroom which is insufficient with 6 people. It would be a great place for a couple. Loved how you can stay one night. Great spot for a night between Zion and Bryce.
What a wonderful place of respite and relaxation after spending days at Zion and Escalante! The cabin was perfect, and Betty was so welcoming and gracious. We would definitely stay again!
The Hideaway was a great place to stay. It was wonderful that the location was in between Zion and Bryce Canyon. The place was nice, clean and all the amenities that you need were provided for you. We enjoyed that the cabin was very secluded from everything else and the surrounding area was beautiful! Definitely looking forward to staying again!

Great place for our family
Great place! Big enough for a family of four or quietly romantic for a couple. Awesome fireplace, well stocked kitchen, nice refurnished cabinets. All new appliances and loved the washer/dryer. The amazing detailed wood work is beautiful. Thanks Jeremy!

Wonderful place
The house has absolutely everything you need. The washer and dryer is great to have too. You really felt as though you are getting away, and the house was very convenient to Bryce Canyon and Zion national parks. We had no cellphone service there so it was great there was a landline and wifi. Grocery store about 10 minutes away. The house was very clean also. Amazing stargazing. Definitely we recommend it.

Thank you Mary, your 5-star review is appreciated! I love the stargazing as well.
We wanted to visit both Zion and Bryce. This cabin was the perfect in between! We were so happy to feel “off the grid” and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked relative to supplies. In addition to K-cups, the property has bath soap and laundry detergent tabs, but not shampoo and conditioner, so you’ll need to pack these. The grill was great and we were happy for dry wood to build fires in the pit. This cabin definitely had our entire family daydreaming about a cabin of our own!!

Thank you Leslie for the helpful and positive 5-star review! Come back soon!
My family and I had a great time staying at the cabin and enjoyed the gorgeous views all around - 360 degree views.
When we first arrived, entrace to the cabin was easy and I love a self-entry process. The cabin was clean and in great shape. We particularly booked it because it had that vintage vibe and we loved it.
The wood fireplace came in to use, the mornings were chilly and so were the nights, so definitely recommend using it. We also enjoyed taking our coffee and breakfast out on the porch and lookking at the view, that was probably our favorite spot during the entire trip!
We loved sleeping in the loft, because it was the warmest place and it allowed us to all talk late into the night and fall.
Overall, it was a great experience. We had an issue, and the hosts/owners provided open communication and we were able to resolve the issue together.
Highly recommended!

The property is amazing. It's welcoming, clean, and conveniently located.
My family and I loved our stay. It exceeded expectations as it looks even better in person than in the pictures (which already look great). Everything has been recently remodeled and is completely clean and comfortable. The bathtub outside has both hot and cold water and was a fun, unique addition. We also loved the porch and outdoor furniture. The beds and couches were comfortable, the kitchen completely stocked with pots, pans, Tupperware, etc, and the house has excellent wi-fi. This was great, because we had no service in the area. The property is also conveniently located between Bryce Canyon and Zion national Park. Also, Betty had excellent communication and was easy to work with. Overall, we had an excellent stay, and have already recommended the property to friends and family. Thanks!!!

Quaint cottage in the hills
We enjoyed our brief stay at Betty's property. It was perfect for my husband and I. We spent all day in Zion and were glad to have a place to wash our clothes and relax afterwards. Betty was extremely easy to communicate with via phone or e-mail.
My only suggestion is rewriting the directions to get to the property. The current instructions on the VRBO app are very confusing. You don't come to the "end of the road," you actually just turn off of it eventually toward the property. And you feel like you are really lost at points. I was very thankful we weren't trying to find it in the dark. To further confuse people, there is a huge iron-sign entrance to "Lydia's Canyon" (not the road you want) right before "Lydia's Canyon Road" (the road you do want). Again, more clear, turn by turn instructions are needed to find this property, especially when GPS and phone service are very limited. Thanks for taking that into consideration. Otherwise, wonderful property that is very private and cozy!!

We do our very best to provide the most accurate information and directions to our many guests. 99% of the time, our guests make it look easy. Occasionally user error or GPS malfunction can throw you off. We send the exact google map coordinates/directions and very detailed directions. Yes, there are two Lydia's Canyon entrances, one is marked 1680 N, the other is 1700 N, look for that information and you'll do great navigating to The Hideaway! Thanks Katie for your great review, we are so glad you enjoyed your brief stay!
This is a great place to stay for those looking to get away from the crowds. The house sits all by itself with no neighbors in sight. It was clean and well stocked with all the basics.
The listing was mostly accurate except the bedroom TV had no device hooked to it during our stay. No TV, Roku, or Fire stick or anything. If that's important to you, be prepared to bring your our device, despite what the description states. Another annoyance was the lack of surfaces and drawers in the bedroom. There are no end tables, dressers, etc. meaning we had to live out of our suitcases for our 10 night stay.
The biggest annoyance was the small shower with very low water pressure. We are not big people (tall but thin) and we barely had room to move in the shower. The water pressure in the rest of the house is fine, but is dismal in the shower. Thankfully, the outdoor tub functioned just fine and became my go-to after a long day on the trails.
The above annoyances are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things and this house checked all the major boxes for us. Clean, well stocked, private, and access to major attractions. We only had to bring some food and did not have a need for anything else. Kitchen supplies and utensils, plenty of provided coffee to get us through the first few days, private porch to sit and relax, visits from wild turkeys and lots of chipmunks.
This is a very good rental to explore Zion, Bryce, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Kanab, and many other places.

Thanks for the complimentary review! 😊 Please note; the master TV is a smart tv, and when on the correct input, the home screen with all your favorite apps will appear. A quick message to us could have made your tv viewing more enjoyable. The listing description, photos, and amenities are accurate, please do not anticipate dressers or additional tables when you arrive, this might keep you from feeling annoyed. There is a pressure valve on the shower head, some complain it's too hard, future guests can adjust to their liking. So glad you enjoyed the tub and found everything you needed for an enjoyable stay.

Would definitely return to this sweet little "hideaway"
"The Hideaway at Lydia's Canyon" is a fine property, and it is evident that the owners are putting effort into making it a desirable destination! The property has undergone major updates, and there was evidence of the owners' continuing interest in improvements - some attractive and helpful signage directing travelers to the property went up while we were out hiking one day. The location is extremely peaceful and quiet... truly a "hideaway." Directions given to find the home were very good, and motion sensor lighting in the parking area is helpful when pulling up at night. Although a feature I was most excited about was the outdoor tub, I unfortunately never used it, as we were so busy visiting parks and hiking, we arrived back rather late and fatigued. The shower in the bathroom is very small, which didn't bother me, but did my husband. Hot water was not a problem as there is an on-demand tankless hot water heater. Towels were good. Plumbing worked fine. Great washer/dryer facilities with big hampers and laundry products available. King sized platform bed was just a touch squeaky at the foot end, but was comfortable with very nice soft sheets. The master bedroom was deliciously dark owing to the wonderful heavy drapes on windows. In the morning, those drapes could be pulled back to let in light from 3 sides of the room, and a serene view of trees and hillsides, not to mention the hummingbird feeders (often busy!) on the front deck. The deck had ample comfortable and attractive furniture, and the master bedroom has sliding glass doors to access the deck. We did not use the loft sleeping area, but it looked very nice. The steps leading up to the loft were an attractive feature, however people with small children would want to know that they are very steep! The kitchen was well-appointed with appliances, and the Keurig machine with supply of coffee and hot chocolates was much appreciated in the morning, as the nearest coffee shop or gas station would be quite a drive! There was not as much of a supply of condiments/staples in the kitchen as I've seen in other VRBO rentals, but this is a minor detail, and I believe the owners are currently focused on more significant comforts. Internet access was reliable, which was good as there is no cellular service in the area. Didn't use: television, gas grill, wood stove. Heating/cooling unit was a bit confusing to control but seemed to work. Quiet, comfortable retreat. We enjoyed it!
Great Place!! Cozy woodstove, very large master BR, with a great loft for kids / teens. Make sure you have a vehicle that can get a little muddy on the way up, but its very worth it. Wonderful location between Zion and Canyonlands Parks, with plenty of State Park diamonds-in-the-rough nearby. Can't recommend this place enough.
Nicely located between zion and bryce yet away from the traffic on highway 89

Wonderfull stay
Es ist ein wunderschönes Haus, sehr ruhig gelegen mit allem was man für einen tollen Aufenthalt benötigt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es nur empfehlen.
A cute, cabin tucked away in a wooded valley. Has high-end finishes and appliances. Great location to birdwatch, view the stars, and as a base for visiting Bryce, Zion, and other natural resource sites. In June, cool enough at night to leave windows open and be almost too COLD at night. Would have loved to stay longer.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 (kids 11 and 15). The loft for them perfectly. The master bedroom was super comfortable with everything we needed. The laundry option came in very handy. The living area and kitchen had everything we could think that we needed. We loved the details in finishing...iron railings and wood front porch, iron staircase to the loft, the vintage kitchen cabinets, all lovely. The bathroom was small but had all the linens we would ever need, towel hooks to keep things organized...etc. out back there is a cute fire pit (we didn’t use) and picnic table we enjoyed dinner on. The location was great for us as we planned on UTV tour in Kanab and visiting Bryce and Zion. Great central location to all. When they say cozy, private retreat, they are not kidding. You are smack dab set on a mountainside, but with easy access. We were more than thrilled with it all!
Thank you!
