Luxury home less than a mile from Deer Valley with free shuttle to and from DV

This is our favorite place in the world and we're sure you will fall in love with it as well! Perfectly suited for two or more families, this spacious, 3800 square foot, five-bedroom private home is located in the prestigious Solamere area of lower Deer Valley, Utah. We’re less than a mile from Snow Park Lodge at the base of Deer Valley, and you'll have access to a FREE ski shuttle to and from Snow Park during ski hours. We’re just one and a half miles to historic downtown Main Street in Park City and two miles to Park City Mountain Resort.

Our newly renovated (2023) mountain home has just been freshened up on every surface – paint, flooring, window coverings - it’s all new. There are new hickory wood floors throughout along new carpet in the game room and bedrooms and new furniture and area rugs. Seven new smart TVs have been installed as well as a new HVAC/AC system with humidifier.

The kitchen was gutted and is now a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen featuring quartzite countertops, a gas Wolf five burner cooktop, double wall oven (one has convection), coffee bar, pullouts in all of the lower cabinets, a custom-made wood hutch and dining table and so much more. All cooking, serving and other dining needs are provided. The large kitchen and open floorplan make it easy to spend time together as a family or for friends to just hang out.

All five bedrooms (two kings, two queens and a bunk room with two sets of twin beds) have new, organic and/or latex mattresses and 680 thread count cotton sheets (except the bunk beds with cotton flannel sheets). All four bathrooms were taken down to the studs as well and everything’s new in them including quartzite or quartz countertops and all new custom cabinetry. The master bedroom features a gas fireplace, massive walk in closet, separate shower, rustic black copper tub and heated floors!

The family room has a gas-assisted, wood-burning fireplace and both this and the master fireplace feature rustic wood mantles made of barn wood that originally came from a barn on Main Street in Park City. The fireplace stone even comes from a local quarry. Additionally, the family room has a large, well-stocked game closet with activities for guests of all ages. The game room has a pool table, game table with bar stools and a large TV to enjoy watching a game or movie.

The game room, on the main floor and adjacent to the Family Room has a brand new shuffleboard table and Foosball table for hours of fun for the competitive types.

The solarium, with private hot tub and panoramic mountain views of the resort, is another great hangout for apres ski. For those who aren’t skiing, there’s a great slope in the backyard for sledding. There are all sorts of fun snow play toys, so please feel free to use them!

The home has a two-car garage. The mudroom/ski prep room is right off the garage to make transitions to and from skiing a cinch.

Wondering what you’ll do when you’re not skiing? Kids and adults alike will enjoy the fully stocked game closet with board games, puzzles and toys for all ages. If that doesn't do the trick, build a snowman, carve a sled run or just have a family snowball fight in the backyard. There are sleds in the garage for everyone. The only thing you need to bring are your skis and warm clothes. The games and toys are there for fantastic family memories. There are beautiful views from nearly every room and you’ll notice reprints of historical Park City photos around the house honoring the history of this special place. You’ll also enjoy the privacy of this quiet street and neighborhood.

We invite you to do your homework. Other listings may or may not be as good as they look or as close to the slopes. This is not a condo or townhouse. Some of those may be a bit less expensive, but our guests enjoy a private home with lots of room to stretch out and there's no sharing common walls with neighbors. A note about transportation: The transportation in Deer Valley can be a bit confusing. All of Deer Valley is within the Park City limits, so the Park City public bus services Deer Valley as well. That said, our home is about a half mile up from the closest PC bus stop. You may also hear about the Deer Valley ski shuttle. Deer Valley Lodging operates a free ski shuttle, but the only way to use that is if you rent a place through Deer Valley Lodging. That means it’s unfortunately not available for us or our guests.

Keeping all of that in mind, we’ve found that having a rental car and driving to and from Snow Park Lodge is really easy. One of us drives everyone up there, drops them off with the super-helpful ski valets (we leave our skis at the complimentary ski check after the first day so we’re not carrying those back and forth each day), then parks in the lot at Snow Park. Deer Valley Ski Resort operates a parking lot shuttle that runs constantly all day long (accessible to everyone), so whoever drives your group there just parks, hops on the DV Ski Resort shuttle and takes it back to meet everyone to ski. If you’ve got snowboarders or others who would like to be at PC mountain, you can obviously take them there or just drop them at the bus stop and they can easily take the bus straight there and back.
