Beautiful Muir Lodge is located just 6 miles from Blowing Rock and moments from the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. With three king ensuites, hot tub, and game table, this dog-friendly mountain retreat blends upscale mountain living with striking post and beam architecture for a truly memorable High Country getaway.

Enter on the main level, where a welcoming den provides the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure. This inviting space features comfortable seating, flatscreen TV, a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests, and a newly added shuffleboard table for friendly competition. Just outside, the lower deck offers a relaxing hot tub and peaceful mountain surroundings.

Located on either side of the den are two spacious king ensuites, each with private bathrooms and direct access to the lower deck, allowing guests to enjoy fresh mountain air and views right from their rooms.

Upstairs, the home opens into a stunning great room showcasing soaring exposed wood ceilings and impressive timber frame construction. The upper level is home to the living room, dining area, and kitchen, all thoughtfully positioned to maximize the spectacular mountain scenery. The living room features leather seating, a large HDTV, a twin sleeper loveseat, and a freestanding wood burning stove that adds warmth and character to the space.

The open kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a Keurig, and an island bar with seating, while the adjacent dining area creates an inviting space for gathering together over meals and conversation.
Step outside onto the upper deck to take in the breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain and enjoy the crisp mountain air from the comfortable outdoor seating area.

Also on the upper level is the private primary king ensuite with deck access and its own bathroom. A convenient half bath is located just off the kitchen/living room area.

Muir Lodge is sitting on a near flat lot with paved drive and parking area. Located just 6 miles to Blowing Rock, 12 miles to Grandfather Mountain and about a mile to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway Muir Lodge will not disappoint guest looking for a wonderful mountain experience.

Additional Important Notes:
-Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

-CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
