Original 1866 features have been immaculately restored, complemented by state of the art fixtures. Location, location, location, just metres away from the vibrant city shops and restaurants. The high specification, bright and contemporary décor apartment is perfect base for short and long term stays.

Situated on the ground floor of a former Welsh Chapel the Courtyard one bedroom apartment offers a unique city centre stay suitable for a trip to Chester Races, city or leisure weekends and the business traveller.

The boudoir Courtyard is a truly unique private outdoor space which is very rare within with city walls. Furnished with outdoor heaters and comfortable low chairs, its a haven to enjoy all year round.

Tastefully furnished in contemporary and minimalist style a stay in The Courtyard @ The Chapel will for sure be a very memorable trip.

* Private Ensuite with dual shower head.
* Open plan cloakroom area for shoes and coat which leads to the wide patio doors to the courtyard
* An additional separate WC for any guests to use.
* Open plan lounge kitchen features high specification contemporary style kitchen briefly includes hob, oven, inbuilt microwave and fridge freezer.
* Lounge area featuring pull out spring mattress sofa bed, breakfast bar and with stools.
* Mezzanine level is accessed above the kitchen, is a dual space for either quite office space or can be used as chill out zone. (please note steps to the mezzanine are bucket style steps, steep in design so unsuitable for small children)
* The Courtyard is a truly special outdoor space installed with timer heaters, mood lighting, comfortable seating allowing you to enjoy all year round.
* Private entry is possible via the back Courtyard as well as the main Chapel entrance.
* Suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children.

Why they chose this property

The story starts in 1866 when the Welsh Chapel in Chester was built. Very much a product of its era, the chapel reflects the architectural styles of the day with its distinct red brick contrasting with Chester’s traditional timber Tudor style. In time the Chapel fell out of use, sitting unloved in the heart of Chester until being given a new lease of life with a sympathetic re-development. Much of the historic architectural detail, such as the original windows and decorated beams have been retained in the thoughtful restoration of the building.

Having lived all over the world we chose to return to the North West to make a home with our young family in this beautiful thriving city. Running a business in Chester city centre, we quickly became aware of a growing demand for good quality short let accommodation for visitors. We know from our own travels with our family – and as a couple - that renting an apartment over a traditional hotel room gives us greater flexibility, freedom and privacy.

And so, in May 2017 Chapel Chester was born! Our mission is to provide luxury boutique style accommodation to the discerning visitor. Each unique apartment is furnished to a high specification in tasteful chic colours with designer furniture and everything from Netflix to feather pillows provided. So, all the delights and luxury of a top-class boutique hotel but with exclusive use and your own Chapel door key!

We want you to feel as welcome to Chapel Chester as if staying in our own home, and this is reflected in the thoughtful little ‘extras’ that will await you on arrival. In addition, if you need recommendations on where to visit or where to eat just drop us a line and we will be delighted to share our insider knowledge!
