About this property

Beautiful stone house, self-catering holidays,Tarn, South West France

The house is over 200 years old and built from granite stone from this area. The original features have been maintained and the house have electric heating in all rooms, and also wood burning stove in the living room. The accommodation is very comfortable and designed to be your 'home from home' while you are staying with us. The living room has a large L-shape sofa, and a dinning room table and chairs. The Sage house has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (140x190) and one with a single bed (90x190). The 3rd sleeping area is a mezzanine with double bed (140x190). The house sleeps up to 5. The house has a fitted kitchen, with electric hob, fan oven, fridge and microwave. They are furnished with everything you could need for your stay with us. And if there is anything else you need, we're on hand to help. We have laundry facilities available in the complex. There is a lovely outdoor area 10m from the house, where you can sit and relax in the sunshine and the herbs (Garden table and chairs, sun loungers and BBQ for your use).


Get active in this beautiful rural part of France: The famous GR36 walking path which stretches from Normandy to Spain in the south passes right past our door. You don't have to go far to find a great walking or mountain biking trail. They are everywhere and are very well marked and signposted. There are 2 lakes close by, swimming and water sports are available in the summer season, they even have beach and restaurant facilities. Hunting and fishing are available here and are strictly to season guidelines. Castre and Mazamet both offer great shopping and markets selling the local produce and specialities from this region. The local Gaillac wines are splendid and very reasonable. Castres houses the famous Goya museum. The UNESCO world heritage sites of Albi and Carassonne are only an hour away. Our self-catering accommodation in Cambounes offers an excellent location from which to explore and experience this beautiful region and the relaxed pace of life.

Excellent séjour, les hôtes sont extrêmement agréables et chaleureux, le logement est confortable et conforme à la description avec de très belles chambres équipée chacune de leur ventilateur, ainsi que pour la pièce de vie. Le cadre est très joli et surtout très calme pour des vacances reposantes ou sportives c’est l’idéal ! Un petit jardin permet de prendre l’air grâce à ces nombreuses chaises longues et une table extérieur permet d’y manger ! Vous ne serez absolument pas dérangée par le monde. Nous recommandons vivement cette expérience !

Très belle maison restaurée accueillante et chaleureuse, bien équipée et décorée avec goût. Elle est située dans un petit hameau de Cambounès. Très bel environnement, arboré. Beaucoup d activités sont possibles dans la région. L accueil est très chaleureux et amical. Je recommande vivement ce lieu.

Magnifique séjour en famille

Nous avons passé de belles vacances dans cet écrin de verdure. Il y fait doux et c'est un lieu calme proche de belles randonnées et de beaux sites du Tarn. Nous avons été très bien accueillies et le logement est parfait pour les vacances ! Merci encore !

Le couple de propriétaire est très sympathique et accueillant. Le style de la maison est agréable, poutre apparente et maison en pierre donc la chaleur ne rentre pas beaucoup et la pierre retiens la fraîcheur. L'environnement est calme et frais malgré les chaleurs qu'on a eu. C'est ombragé, le seul bémol c'est qu'il n'y a pas de réseau avec bouygues, free et sfr. On capte au niveau du BBC et de la terasse.

absolut empfehlenswert

Natur pur, aber nicht weit von Castres und vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Le Sidobre, Carcassonne, la Montagne Noire etc.). Das Haus ist bestens eingerichtet, wirkt größer als gedacht.

Bonjour, j'ai passé de très bon moment. La propriétaire est très sympa ainsi que sa petite famille , endroit reposant au milieu des montagnes. Je conseilles d'y aller sans aucume crainte.
