Vacation France 2023

We had a great week in Albas and the house was amazing. It was beautiful with so much character. Location was perfect with so much to do around the corner. Nature in the region was super. The mountains and sea just amazing. We had a day trip to Spain as well. À lot of our friends loved the pictures we took and asked about the house and the region. We loved it and would do it again.

Lovely location

We had a really great stay in Albas. The house was perfect, very well equipped and really comfortable. The pool was a good size and very warm. The village was lovely; the house is located next to the village square which is the focal point for the village. This includes a bar which the village manage themselves - this was very welcome as we didn’t have time to get provisions on the first night as they produced some amazing pizzas! They also had a festival on one of the evenings which they asked us to attend. The local area is great for cycling and hiking. Very picturesque. We visited the many amazing beaches (45 min - 1 he drive) and Carcassonne (50 mins). The local boulangerie and supermarket in Durban Corbiere was excellent (15 mins). All together a really enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

Une parenthèse très agréable

Tout d’abord un grand merci à Muriel et Françoise pour leur gentillesse et disponibilité. La maison a beaucoup de charme, nous nous y sommes senti bien tout de suite et la piscine a fait le bonheur de nos petits enfants. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour.

Einfach nur super

Wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist man hier genau richtig! Das Haus hat alles was man brauch und liegt einfach nur fantastisch. Der Weg bis dahin ist anstrengend zu fahren aber wunderschön, es war jedes Mal ein Erlebnis. Man kann sowohl Zeit im Haus verbringen aber es bieten sich auch sehr viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passer un court séjour en famille dans ce gîte rustique et très agréable. Nous espérons revenir pour découvrir la région en été, profiter de la piscine et des animations estivales...

Très belle maison dans une campagne de caractere

La propriété de Daniel et Françoise est très agréable, calme, dans un village très rural. Endroit très reposant, mais de ce fait un peu à l’écart des grands axes et difficile d’accès. Parfait pour un séjour en famille dans une région magnifique. Excellent équipement, nous n’avons manqué de rien.

Maison agréable village sympathique

En mi septembre la piscine reste fraiche et à l ombre une grande partie de la journée.... Et le village un peu bruyant à cause des vendanges.... L endroit reste très appréciable et central pour rayonner dans une region magnifique et sauvage. Gorges, château, randos..... SUPER SEMAINE

Wir kommen wieder

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da und haben den Aufenthalt im Spätsommer sehr genossen. Sehr schöne Wandermöglichkeit, Pool im Garten - was will man mehr. Zum Einkaufen muss man ein Stück fahren, ohne Auto ist es also schwierig.

Maison très agréable

La maison est très agréable, la piscine de bonne taille, la terrasse bien aménagée. On se sent tout de suite a l'aise, comme a la maison. Un petit bémol pour l'escalier assez dangereux pour les enfants. Le village est charmant, perdu dans les hauteurs. C'est vraiment un tres joli coin, qui vaut le coup d'œil.

The house was clean and beautiful. The pool was quite big and fresh. Every thing went very well. The area is very beautiful and the people are very nice and helpful. What did we found there? Good wine, nice people, god food and the coolest Maire on earth. Thank you Françoise et Dany

Perfect French gîte in the middle of stunning and unspoilt countryside.

Fabulous stay with very welcoming and helpful owners. Very well equipped, amazing wood burner, beautiful garden - a truly home from home stay. So lovely to be remote but within arms reach of amazing vineyards, fantastic castles and gorgeous food. Would definitely like to return.

einfach wunderschön

Das Ferienhaus ist traumhaft. Wir waren im Herbst dort und hatten schöne, klare und warme Tage. Am Abend haben wir es uns vor dem Holzofen gemütlich gemacht. Das Haus liegt im Landesinneren und man hat daher absolute Ruhe. Ein Auto ist unbedingt notwendig. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmals dort Urlaub machen.

Nettes Haus zum entspannen

Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 5 Kleinkindern in dem Haus. Es gibt viel Platz zum spielen und genug Schlafzimmer, was uns wichtig war. Das Dorf ist sehr abgelegen in den Bergen, wer regelmäßige Ausflüge plant wird damit Probleme haben aber für uns war es super. Alles war sauber und auch der Pool wurde gereinigt. Die Treppe im Haus ist nicht unbedingt kindergeeignet.

Little corner of paradise

A perfect home from home where all amenities were provided. A beautiful property enhanced by artwork and surprise artifacts around the house and garden. Beautiful roses and flowering oleander shrubs plus fruit trees in the garden made it a pleasure to lounge and relax dipping in and out of the pool to cool off. The pool was the star attraction deep enough for two grown sons to dive and enjoy assault course challenge games with floats etc. Muriel was charming and very helpful and even helped us join in the village meal following an annual event, a real French experience for our boys partners who had not had this opportunity before. A beautiful property in a charming village, we would certainly stay again.
