Magnificent Views From This OCEANFRONT 4 Bedroom 3 Bath Cottage

Looking for a place to unplug and relax? Welcome to Kure Kalm! Feel the stress of work and demanding schedules melt away as soon as you pull into the driveway. Sun, sand and surf lover? You’re just steps away from the beach via the private walkway. Want a break from the sun? Enjoy the beautiful ocean views from the comfort of the large living area as you curl up on one of the three sofas with one of our book selections and send the kids to the garage for a game of ping pong.

At Kure Kalm you’re walking distance from restaurants, the Kure Beach fishing pier (the oldest fishing pier on the Atlantic coast) and the Pavilion at the Ocean Front Park which hosts various musical concerts throughout the summer and away from the condos and more crowded beach closer to Fort Fisher. You’re just 2 miles from historic Fort Fisher, a North Carolina aquarium and the ferry to Southport for more shopping and dining. If you prefer dining in, pick up seafood fresh off the boats and fire up the gas grill. Enjoy a relaxed meal while taking in the ocean view around the table or at the eat-in bar.

Kure Beach is a family-friendly beach boasting fun for adults and kids alike. Fly a kite, play bocci ball, search for loggerhead turtle nests or seashells, build sandcastles and play in the surf. Cast your fishing line in the surf from the shore, from the pier or from a charter boat.

If you’re looking for granite and stainless steel, Kure Kalm is not the place for you. We are a 30+ year old beach cottage with original kitchen cabinetry. But if you want a clean beachfront property with stunning views and large living area for family and friends to hang out or eat together, you won’t find a more comfortable cottage on the Kure Beach shore.

Rentals include bed sheets and towels for kitchen, bath and beach.

NOTE: There is NO INTERIOR CONNECTING STAIRWAY between the ground floor bedrooms and bath and the main level; access is by outdoor stairs.

Typically, there are lifeguards patrolling and/or stationed on Kure Beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

NOTE that we are renting our cottage which is located on a public beach. We have no control over conditions on the beach such as beach renourishment, volume of tourists, fishing tournaments, weather, etc. all of which may impact conditions on the beach.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
All dirty sheets and towels should be placed in the hallway downstairs or by the front door upstairs.
Wash, dry and put away all utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, etc. in their appropriate places in the cabinets.
Remove all trash and put in garbage cans outside.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Wonderful beach house

Our stay at Kure Kalm was wonderful. The house was so clean, spacious and had all of the amenities needed. It is located close to restaurants, activities and the pier yet still so quiet and peaceful in and around the house. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and beautiful ocean front views. We look forward to staying here again.

kure kalm is well named and it exceeded my expectations susan and randy were so helpful and easy to work with i absolutely love the view of the ocean from the great room - so peaceful and a wonderful room where my family could gather. in addition the outside top deck(with table and chairs)and bottom deck with glider and outside shower were great. wonderful to be ocean front and have our own private walk to the ocean good location too - could walk to pier and restaurants and fort fisher and aquarium are very close i would highly recommend Kure kalmit had everything we needed!

I, Randy, have vacationed at Kure Beach since I was a child. We first stayed in small cottages nearby and our family purchased this cottage in 1988.

Why they chose this property

Nothing compares to beachfront in this small family-friendly town. The large open living area and beachfront windows in this house allow us to enjoy the ocean view whether it's sunrise, bright sunny days, lightning over the water, or moon rising in the evening. Our family enjoys fishing in the surf, on the rocks in Fort Fisher or from a kayak in the nearby waterways. The beach is a popular nesting ground for loggerhead turtles and we love the fun and anticipation of turtle hatching. This is indeed a place of fun and relaxation for us and we hope it will be for you!

What makes this property unique

We experience the majesty of God in powerful ways in this place as we see the vastness and power of the ocean and changing tides/shorelines, the innumerable grains of sand, and the miracle of sea turtles making their way to shore to lay eggs and hatchlings later finding their way back out to sea. We pray that our guests, too, will experience God's presence in memorable ways during their stays.
