Lovely short stay in this immaculate and spacious converted stable located on a working farm in beautiful countryside. Quiet country lanes and woodland walks straight from the door.Property well equipped and very clean, possibly the cleanest holiday let we have stayed in.Our only regrets are that we didn't find this property sooner or stayed longer, will definitely return.

We spent six weeks at The Stable and were completely satisfied. The accommodation is tucked away in the countryside and the peace and quiet is amazing. There are lots of birds here, which is encouraged by the two feeding stations by the house – you can watch them directly from the living room. Binoculars and field guides are provided.The house is very tastefully furnished and well equipped. When approaching the house via Watermill Lane, I would recommend, as another guest has already mentioned, approaching from the south. This way there is only a relatively short stretch of single-track road with passing places. You can park your car conveniently right outside the entrance to the house. Larger supermarkets are within a 10–20-minute drive in nearby Hastings.There are many National Trust properties nearby, as well as other attractions and the coast.We felt really at home, a feeling that was, of course, further enhanced by Janet and Nick’s very accommodating helpfulness and hospitality. Thanks a lot for everything!P&S

Had a lovely holiday in an ideal location with with excellent facilities. The hosts, Janet and Nick were both very friendly and helpful. This was our second visit and we have booked again for next year. All in all you couldn't wish for anywhere better.

We’ve just returned from having a short break at …. The house was perfect. It was extremely roomy, comfy and immaculately kept and the setting was so peaceful and relaxing It’s always good to find a place to stay that you’d happily return to on another occasion. We had a lovely walk around the farm and through a private woods into ….Where we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Royal …. Later we spent some time on …. Pebble Beach which was very clean and peaceful and as the tide went out the sand emerged. Lots of fun was had looking for shells and other …. We enjoyed a visit to Rye -a picturesque and historical town. The people we met there were very helpful and friendly So all in all a great break in a wonderful setting so thank you Jan and … for making us feel so welcome

The accommodation was very comfortable, plenty of space and a feeling of homeliness. Well equipped throughout and everything available to make for a comfortable stay. Kitchen was convenient with all utensils and appliances provided. The house was clean and great to have some games and books provided. The wood burning stove was wonderful on a cold wet winters evening. The location is superb for those wanting peace and quiet as it is tucked away where all one can hear are the birds singing. All round a wonderful, quiet retreat for those who enjoy a peaceful rural environment.
