A Great Northern Michigan location close to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Crystal Lake, Frankfort.
The Wayberry Cottage, built in 2006, is a quiet retreat on 15 wooded acres surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. Located just 3 miles from the village of Lake Ann and 15 miles west of Traverse City, the Cottage offers up-north privacy and peacefulness with city conveniences nearby.

Approximately 10 miles west of the Cottage is Lake Michigan where you can explore all the beaches, water activities, sand dunes, and lighthouses Benzie County has to offer. Other area lakes are also within minutes of your enjoyment.

The Wayberry Cottage is beautifully modeled after Northern Michigan cottages from the early 1900s while embracing all the comforts and benefits of modern living. Whether spending your days sightseeing or playing golf at Mistwood, a 27-hole course only 3 minutes away, come back to enjoy the hot tub or just relax on the screened-in porch while reading a good book. The Wayberry is sure not to disappoint.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Wash, dry and put away all dishes.
Ensure windows are closed and locked with the thermostat set per posted settings. Fireplace and basement heater turned off.
Refer to comprehensive list posted at the cottage on the cork board in the kitchen/dining room.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Snowmobiles and ATVs are not allowed to be driven on the lawn/property of the cottage.
No overnight guests allowed who are not part of the group stated in the booking request.
No bachelorette or bachelor parties or rowdy groups allowed. Quiet hours are 11pm-8am. Please respect our neighbors and our cottage.

We celebrated Christmas early at the Wayberry Cottage and we had the best time. Cottage was decorated for the holidays and had a cute tree set up in the basement. The entire property was very clean and even had snow outside! Host has a snow plow take care of the driveway which was very convenient. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a nice get away.

Picture perfect setting! Beautiful and quiet location, perfect for our relaxing girls trip. We enjoyed staying in the home and playing games, sitting in the hot tub and by the campfire, as well as checking out local attractions and downtown Traverse City. It was just what we needed and we will definitely be back and hope to make this an annual trip!

The property looked like the photos and was very clean. We had 6 female friends stay in the house and it worked out well. The hot tub felt great after doing a local Half Marathon. We really enjoyed the front porch and the peacefulness of the property. Only down side was the lack of dishwasher so we had to wash dishes by hand which wasn’t a big deal, but we wished we brought paper plates with us.

Quiet place in the woods

Great base camp for all the area has to offer. Short drive to sleeping bear dunes. Town of lake Ann has some great spots for coffee, drinks and pizza.

We loved everything about our stay at Wayberry Cottage. Its tucked quietly in the prettiest woods but still near so many great spots- beaches, restaurants, shops and the dunes! The space was perfect for our family and friends ranging across all ages. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable. We stayed with a few soccer families for the weekend for a soccer tournament. We really enjoyed our stay and had plenty to do with the kids. They enjoyed the hot tub and playing cards and board games. We truly wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the quiet and peaceful area of the cabin.

Centrally located

We all had a great stay and were very happy with the property. We played horseshoes, made s'mores one night, sat in the hot tub due to participating in the M22 challenge, and we all played a game or two of pool. Very nicely decorated with plenty of seating for many people. We only had 8 with us total, but 12 could easily be done as well.

Enjoyable Escape

Loved the cottage as it is secluded and peacefully surrounded by tall pines. The game room is nice as is the hot tub off the basement. Would definitely return.
