A walk in the mountains...a stone's throw from the sea

Delightful stone cottage surrounded by olive trees with a splendid viewpoint, ideal for relaxing holidays in contact with nature. The cottage is located in the historic part of Spigno Saturnia, on the slopes of the Aurunci Mountains; mountain enthusiasts, from the town center, will be able to easily use the vast network of paths that wind through the Aurunci Park, while sea lovers, in a quarter of an hour by car, will be able to reach the most renowned beaches of the Gulf of Gaeta; on request, it is possible to book, exclusively, a daily excursion aboard a 10-meter sailboat to discover the splendid stretch of coast between Formia and Sperlonga.
The surroundings are all to be discovered, both from a naturalistic and historical and cultural point of view: the archaeological area of Minturnae, the Roman sites of Formia, the Riviera di Ulisse park, the Montagna Spaccata di Gaeta, the seaside village of Sperlonga.
Excellent base for day trips to the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompeii, Naples and the fascinating islands of Ponza and Ventotene, connected daily by ferries and hydrofoils from the nearby Formia.

An amazing stay!

We had an absolutely brilliant 6 night stay at Daniella's property. The villa is located in an absolutely beautiful spot, with stunning views out across the countryside but within 20 minutes drive to the sea. Daniella was a wonderful host and always answered questions promptly. My children particularly enjoyed the basketball hoop!

traumhafter Urlaub in einer Ruheoase

Ohne Fernseher und WLAN hatten wir viel Zeit, uns zu erholen, die Umgebung zu erkunden und von den traumhaften Terrassen in die Ferne zu schauen. Das Haus war sauber, gemütlich und funktional ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war unkompliziert und einfach. Daniela war sehr nett und entgegenkommend und jeder Zeit erreichbar. In dem kleinen Dorfladen bekommt man alles Notwendige für den Alltag und Wanderwege in die Berge beginnen im Ort.

Abenteuer im Berg

Die Lage ist zunächst großartig. Der Telefonkontakt zur Vermieterin funktioniert gut. Also drehst Du den Schlüssel rum, der im Schloss steckt und betrittst ein ziemlich heruntergekommenes und sehr verschmutztes Häuschen. Die Schlafräume sind oben über eine extrem enge und steile Wendeltreppe zu erreichen. Aber dann der Ausblick von 2 riesigen Balkonen: traumhaft! Im Ort selbst kannst Du nichts einkaufen und im Mai ist auch keine Kneipe oder Rest. geöffnet…

Peace and Tranquillity in Spigno Saturnia

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed. Very private house with lots of outdoor space to lounge around. Secure parking area was a bonus.

Tranquilità assoluta

Bellissima casa, tranquilità assoluta. Magnifica la vista dai terrazzi da dove godere un pasto o leggere un libro è un lusso per chi viene dai rumori della città. L’unica pecca è stata la scala a chiocciola molto ripida. Per il resto perfetta, anche la posizione che permette svariate gite giornaliere.

Panorama strepitoso e tranquillità assoluta

Da un lato terrazzi con vista mozzafiato sulla vallata ed il mare. Dall'altro ulivi e piante di ogni tipo in un rigoglioso giardino mediterraneo. Casa spaziosissima e super attrezzata. Proprietari simpatici e gentilissimi. Non manca proprio nulla.

Superbe découverte

Première fois dans cette région d'Italie, et superbe séjour. Les hôtes sont très chaleureux, la villa est fonctionnelle et dispose d'une vue à coupé le souffle sur la vallée. C'est reculé, parfait pour se déconnecter mais en même peu loin de la mer (15 min en voiture). La région possède de beaux lieux de visite (Gaete, Sperlonga et bien sûr la fabuleuse Naples à 1h30 de route). Je conseille vivement.

Maison idéalement située. Superbe vue sur la vallée depuis les deux terrasses

La maison est bien située, le panoramique depuis les terrasses est superbe. Il est possible de prendre le train a Formia pour voyager jusqu'à Naples ou Rome. Les propriétaires sont très agréables et disponibles.

Entspannter Urlaub

Das Haus ist in einem kleinen Dorf. Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war gut. Es ist alles so, wie in dem Inserat beschrieben. Zum Strand mit dem Auto ca. 15-20 Minuten, zum nächsten grossen Supermarkt 15 Minuten. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit dort.

Tolle Lage, schönes Haus :)

Nette Vermieter, unkomplizierter Kontakt, besonders hervorzuheben ist die spektakuläre Aussicht aus dem Haus von den großen Terrassen und der tolle Olivenbaumgarten mit Hängematte. Insgesamt ein toller Ort und Urlaub - sehr zu empfehlen!

Das Haus ist ideal gelegen für Ausflüge in die Umgebung und nicht weit vom Meer. Von den Terrassen hat man einen herrlichen Blick über das Tal zum Meer und in der Hängematte im Schatten der Olivenbäume lässt sich die Zeit bestens vertrödeln.

A Peaceful retreat in the mountains

Great location in a small village with splendid views over the valley, snow-topped mountains on the other side and seashore on the other side. Huge terrace on both floors. Not for people who have difficulties with stairs, since stairs to upper floor are steep. Short distance to walking paths and to beaches. Hosts were really helpful with all the arrangements, all our wishes were fulfilled. We had a really successful vacation.

Ideale location per chi cerca pace e serenità, soprattutto arrivando dalla città. Privacy garantita, tutte le comodità sono presenti eccetto la tv di cui peraltro non si sente il bisogno. Ottima la pulizia. Proprietaria gentilissima. Vivamente consigliato!

Relax e atmosfera romantica

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa splendida casa con una vista spettacolare a pochi km dal mare. La zona è molto tranquilla e rilassante. Ringraziamo i proprietari che sono stati disponibili per ogni nostra esigenza e sono stati molto gentili. Con noi avevamo 2 cani e per loro è il posto ideale perché il giardino è completamente recintato. Ci rivedremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo.

Cottage affascinante

Abbiamo trascorso una piacevole settimana in questo cottage incantevole e confortevole situato in posizione strategica che ti permette di vivere esperienze diverse dalle passeggiate sui Monti Aurunci al relax in spiaggia ed alle gite nei dintorni. Ben attrezzata, completa di ogni accessorio con una vista meravigliosa sulla valle fino alla costa. Pace, tranquillità e tanto spazio, perfetta per chi viaggia coi propri animali come noi. Ringraziamo i proprietari, Daniela e Giandomenico ed i figli, per la loro ospitalità, simpatia e disponibilità e per tutti i preziosi consigli. Speriamo di tornare presto. Grazie di tutto.

Vue panoramique incroyable

Très belle maison en pierre avec un joli jardin arboré, ombragé avec et ses oliviers. Très belle terrasse aux deux étages surplombant la vallée. Parking intérieur mais place à proximité également très calme. Vue incroyable sur la vallée, l’abbaye de monte casino et la mer a 180degres. Bar et restaurant très sympa dans le village. Propriétaire Disponible et sympathique. Je recommande.

Pace e Tranquillità nel verde

Casa accogliente immersa nel verde con vista fantastica dalla valle fino al mare Silenzio e tranquillità per chi vuole rilassarsi dopo una giornata di mare o di turismo in zona Pulita e dotata di tutto per cucinare Parcheggio interno Grande terrazza dove mangiare con meraviglioso panorama La nostra ospite Daniela gentile e disponibile così come il simpatico suocero Raffaele che ci ha accolti Il mare e la costa con le spiagge sono a 20 minuti vicine anche per una gita Gaeta e Sperlonga con le loro spiagge L’abbazia di Montecassino è a 50 minuti Grazie Daniela siamo stati benissimo

La tranquillità con vista spettacolare

weit ab von allem Geschehen aber wunderschön

Das Haus war wunderschön in einem großen Garten gelegen. Grandiose Aussicht ins Tal von beiden Stockwerken. Auf beiden Stockwerken eine riesige Terrasse. Von jedem Zimmer aus erreichbar. Kontakt freundlich und Problemlos. Zu erwähnen wäre vielleicht noch, dass vom Erdgeschoß zu den Schlafzimmern und Bad eine ziemlich enge Wendeltreppe führt für füllige Personen eher beschwerlich. Bettdecke war nur mit einem Bettlaken eingeschlagen also ohne Bettbezug. Gesamtbilanz für uns positiv.

Spectacular view from the balconies

We very much enjoyed our stay in Spigno. The location of the house with the view overlooking the valley is spectacular!Beautiful beaches are close by and Rome and Naples are only a 2 hours drive away.
