Ground level, fenced-in yard, dog-friendly, tall ceilings and extra large windows allowing tons of natural light to pour in. The home now offers 2 full baths and an additional "water closet!"
Full of art from local artists and vintage finds, comfy furniture and best of all the extra large screened porch with rocking chairs. Truly a southern charmer of a home! This home is a historic home, and the homeowner has added an additional full bath for a total of 2 1/2 baths! Yet another unique feature of our home! This is half of the duplex with Enlisted Men's Mess Hall on the other side. Both sides are quiet and have private/separate entrances. Need space for a large family? Rent both sides!

Another great stay at Screened Inn

We knew this would also be a great chance to bring along the family dog as well after we stayed with Mermaid Cottages at this location Teo years ago. Perfect size and layout for our three boys and us. Great location as a quick walk from the least crowded parts of the beach on the north end of Tybee. You will love it.

Not only did this place feel like a home away from home but mermaid rentals went above and beyond in their communications- they are incredibly friendly, warm and inviting which is so welcoming after a big day of travelling. The rental was spectacular, cozy, bright and FULL of character, the decorating really made it feel like a relaxed vacation and the walk to the beach was very short. I could truly go on and on about our incredible experience here, but I’ll leave it at saying it’s the type of place and experience you’ll tell people about, you’ll have wonderful memories and you’ll be just waiting to book the next time around. It's a cute property on the north side of the island, which we prefer because it is quiet and peaceful, but only a few minutes' walk to the North beach. It is always spotless. And it is very spacious. The interior is exactly like the pictures in the listing. Really cute. The Mermaids are friendly, accommodating and responsive. We are already planning to be back sometime in November-December and again in March.

The screen porch and small fenced-in yard are wonderful. Lots of shade from old live oaks. VERY convenient to trail around nearby Jaycee Park and easy access to the beach. The floor pan and room locations are a *little* quirky but actually worked very well for us (we were there with our two small children, and, alternately, my wife's parents and a friend with her child). Lighthouse and the very tasty North Beach Bar & Grill were within easy walking distance. Nice, quiet neighborhood and street. Also, the staff at Mermaid Cottages were very friendly and helpful. We loved Tybee and hope to return next summer!

I have two small dogs and they had a blast in the fenced in yard and the screened porch for some sun bathing. The rental company was beyond exceptional. They checked in on us and communicated with being bothersome. The location is so close to the beach, the lighthouse, great places to eat. We walked to several places and we rented bikes because everything is so close. We have an electric car and there is a fast charger just around the corner. We drove to Savannah several days, it’s only 20 minutes away and there is so much to do and see. I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with the hosts. Also, when we left , Tammy reached out to let me know we had left something behind so we could arrange to get it back. Just wonderful ladies. I will definitely be recommending this spot to others and I will also be back in the future. Thank you mermaids for making my stay so easy and really going out of your way for us.
