Relaxing and beautiful cabin nestled among the trees. What a view from the living room and downstairs family room where we played pool , fuss ball and endless games. There was plenty of room for the adults and kids and the kitchen was well equipped. Ky was a great host and we are already planning to come back this summer. Cedar View Lodge is a gem.
What a beautiful house to accommodate a large group. The house has wonderfully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Lots of space for family with main living area and downstairs family room and game room. We loved the deck - perfect place for morning coffee and sunsets. Unfortunately there was a fire ban so could not use the outside fire pit. Bedrooms and bathrooms clean and comfortable.
This cabin was the perfect getaway for siblings to meet and enjoy time together. The house, especially the kitchen, was well stocked and had everything we needed. Directions to the house need to be updated as that was a bit of a challenge. My daughter insisted on trying out the jet tub (I assumed it was probably rarely used and dirty) but we let her try and when she turned on the jets there was a ton of black mold that came out. Otherwise the house was clean and well stocked and we were all able to sleep comfortably and everyone had a bed. The kids were able to ply downstairs and the adults were able to hang upstairs.
Perfect place for a family get together. Slept 10 easily. Nice view from the deck and secluded. With the Sandpoint music festival on there is more than a few things to do in the area.
The views are stunning. The house is well appointed. The location is great for Silverwood and lake access. Just a couple of things should have been done before guests arrived.
The house was dirty. There were ants in the kitchen when we arrived. One guest was awakened in the night with a mouse in the bed. A good cleaning crew and pest control and this house would be perfect.
Ky and Nicole Reding are from San Diego. We bought this home in 2016 to enjoy all that northern Idaho has to offer. We have 3 young children and spend time throughout the year in Idaho snow skiing, boating and hiking whenever we get the chance. We love this home, and hope you will too!
Why they chose this property
We have always wanted to find a location with great snow skiing, and fishing nearby. We fell in love with northern Idaho and Sandpoint when we first visited, and knew after our first visit to this home that it was going to be our vacation spot for years to come. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
The house is amazing. The previous owner built it, and all of the wood used is from trees on the property. It's got a great layout and excellent views. We love the serenity and privacy of the 6 acres of raw land. We enjoy hiking and exploring the national forest behind the house, and love the views of Mt. Schweitzer in the distance. It is a great getaway.
