Very clean, tidy, and well-appointed. Blackwaterfoot a short walk away; and well situated for access to the rest of the island, particularly the west coast. Good for bus users.
A beautifully kept property. Kris has thought of everything!Very quiet area - great for breakfast and dinner on the deck. Just a 15 minute walk for a drink at the hotel in Blackwaterfoot.Kris was great when our ferry was delayed - thank you!
Accommodation was great ,pictures don't do it justice. Island is beautiful if a little windy. Totally loved our short break here despite the unreliable ferries
Very comfortable lodge which is well equipped. Ideal for 4 people with a double and a twin room. Kris was very good at communicating and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Fascinated by the robot mowers which cut the grass on the site. It's well situated for access to Blackwaterfoot which is only a 15 minute walk away. Would recommend.
We had a brilliant time staying at Mcaras View. The lodge was well equipped with everything we needed, including little things that we had forgotten. All in all, it was an excellent base for exploring the island.
Lovely clean and well equipped lodge. Felt at home with my kids as soon as we walked in. Great power showers and lots of amenities. Birds and squirrels visited regularly. Good peaceful location.
Family stay for a long weekend before the schhols go back... absolutely loved it, the surroundings are beautiful ( Pheasant's, Red Squirrels etc) and the property itself was fantastic ... we loved every part of it.. hoping to stay again soon.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful place. The whole island is spectacular, Blackwaterfoot and Mcaras View are a perfect, quiet corner of the island. The lodge itself was perfect for the four of us as a base for a few days (which wasn't long enough, but we'll be back!)
2nd visit to Mcaras View & can't fault the location. Easy to get to & well placed to easily get around the IslandLodge was clean & tidy & the grandchildren loved the Highland cows in the field opposite. Both check in & check out were very easy & everything was excellent Thanks again
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was as advertised and had everything we needed for our break. The communication from the owner was good and he helped us quickly when required. The location is peaceful and we would recommend this lodge to others.
Wonderful Island and a great lodge with a view which was the perfect basis for our hiking as well as our destillery tours. I can highly recommend Kris' lodge!
We had a fabulous stay at the lodge. So peaceful and well appointed. The interior is so tasteful and comfortable, and has everything you need. We enjoyed watching a variety of wildlife whilst relaxing on the deck. Kris was a great host and we will be back!
Lovely experience from beginning to end. The chalet had everything we could possibly want and having an ensuite and a separate bathroom was a bonus.Kris was a delightful host who was extremely helpful at all times. Particularly when there was no water at our end of the island!Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Property was as described and was situated in such a peaceful area. Everything we needed was in the chalet. It was warm and comfortable and so easy to access other parts of the island. We had not stayed in this area before and thoroughly enjoyed it. A 20 minute walk took us to the Kinloch hotel for a superb evening meal. Wildlife in the grounds of the chalet was great. Loved the red squirrels and hares in the morning. Could not have asked for better.
