Cottage was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. The beach is a short walk. Coffee on the deck in the morning listening to the water was a great way to start the day
Cabin was very rustic and cute. We had everything we needed and Lake Huron was fantastic. Only suggestion: You need an updated lock box, the combination deal was difficult to attain correctly, quite frustrating.

I am so sorry you had difficulty using the lock box. It is new this year and the numbers need to line straight across and push down on the button.
I am happy that you enjoyed your vacation on the beach of Lake Huron.
This log cabin is situated in a family neighborhood about a block from the beach. The property was immaculate and the neighborhood was very safe. My adult kids and my grandson loved the beach and we appreciated the folding chairs provided. Our host allowed us a free day early check-in. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation.
This cabin was the perfect place to take our young family on a little summer vacation. My wife and I spent a week here with our toddler and newborn and had a great time. The beds were comfy & clean, the neighborhood was very quiet and we loved being steps from Lake Huron. Yvonne made getting in & out very simple and was an excellent communicator. We'll be back!
And be sure to check out the Tally-Ho tavern just down the road. Incredibly friendly patrons and staff.
Yvonne's cabin by Lake Huron was so cute and quaint. The cabin had everything that we needed. The kitchen was stocked well and the a/c unit kept us cool. The neighbors were so nice and the neighborhood seemed friendly. The cabin was just steps to beautiful majestic Lake Huron. We spent our days kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling. We also looked for rocks. We had a great time. Hope to be back soon.
Very cute cottage. It was very hot at time so a bit difficult to keep cool. Hot water heater very small and with 3 women ran out of hot water. It was nice that we all had our own room.
The only negative is that you have to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom and it had an open ceiling concept. So my son and daughter in law along with their 3 year old didn’t stay there. It was perfect for our daughter husband and their 20 year old daughter

There are plenty0 of other beds to sleep in . Maximum # of guests is 6, not 8. The back room is usually for the children.
Front & rear doors are storm doors only. No entry doors of any sort making security lax. The area is safe but we feel you should be able to feel secure & your property safe. The twin beds are very soft. Otherwise the area is lovely.

The sun porches in the front and back have doors that lock. The main cabin has solid wood log doors in the front and back that lock and are extremely secure. Never a worry in 42 years. Sorry she felt that way. Twin beds have been replaced in June of 2023.
If you were lucky enough to have spent time at the lake as a child, this cabin is stepping back in time in the best of ways. This rustic gem is situated on a quiet street only 200 feet from the water. The cabin is roomy, clean, and can sleep numerous guests. It's look is rustic but it's chock full of amenities. You won't be lacking anything need for a week or weekend. Simply bring your food and move right in......
The cabin is on a very quiet street with a short walk to Lake Huron and the beaches.
The cabin is comfortable for up to 5 or 6 adults and has numerous sleeping options.
Very enjoyable experience.

It was not very clean too far to water. You need water shoes too many rocks.

My cabin is not beach front. It is 200 ft from the beach. Everyone is told to bring water shoes because Lake Huron is known for stones and rocks. I inform every renter of this.
Extremely rustic, now if that’s what you are looking for, great. If you are looking for comfort and cleanliness, not so great. It’s a step above tent camping and It’s where very uncomfortable furniture goes to die. Pros: it’s near the beach. Nice fire pit outside. Sleeps a ton of people. Good water pressure. Cons: very dusty and dirty. tiniest water heater I’ve ever seen, enough hot water for one shower. It’s unsafe, stepped on a nail sticking up from the floor and banged my ankle really bad when it hit a medal bed frame that was sticking out. Also, there was construction going on next door which would of been nice to know about.

My cabin is not extremely rustic as you can see by the photos. There are logs inside and out and no drywall. Furniture is all leather and very comfortable.
My place is not dusty or dirty. The water heater is small, but a large one is not needed unless you take a 45 minute shower. Never in 35 years has anyone mentioned not having enough hot water.
If there was a nail popping up from the wood floors, it will be taken care of immediately. There definitely are no bed frames sticking out and my cabin is not unsafe.. All my other reviews are great.
My family had an amazing time in this little cottage. Reminiscent of where I stayed when I was young
The property was great. In a nice quiet neighborhood. Just a very short walk to the beach, where we went every day. Everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly. It was exactly what I was looking for when booking a vacation for my family. The cottage was clean with plenty of room for 6 of us. Nice big front porch with big table that was perfect for family dinners and game nights. Hoping to go back next year
My sisters and I take a trip every year. This year we choose Lakeport. The Cabin listed reminded us of the cabins we used to stay in when we went up north to our grandparents. We enjoyed the location, the cabin was perfect. The owner was easy to communicate with. Would recommend for anyone and will definitely stay again.
