White Caps #7 one bedroom beach view cottage, Sanibel island vacation rental

White Caps 7 is a delightful rental cottage on the beaches of Sanibel Island.
From the front door it is just 36 steps to the Gulf waters and miles of white sandy beach. The cottage is ground level (2 steps into the unit) located in a small gulf front complex with only 9 cottages, in a location convenient to bike paths, restaurants, grocery stores, movies, shops, etc.

The cottage has one bedroom with a king-size bed and flat-screen TV. The living area has a 44' flat screen high definition TV and DVD player. The kitchen has full-sized appliances, cabinets, and Corian countertops. The bathroom has a large comfort height vanity and a large walk-in shower. The shower has a smooth pebble floor for a spa-like feeling. Handy outside hot and cold shower to rinse off after the beach. There's also a hose located by the back entrance for washing off sandy feet, paws, or shells! Ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. Weber charcoal grill. Beach chairs and umbrella provided. Parking is right beside the unit. Wireless high-speed internet is also provided.

Enjoy the sunset view from the living room and kitchen or walk a few steps to the beach and watch the sunset on the gulf.
This property is pet-friendly and fees may apply. Leashed dogs are welcome on the beaches of Sanibel.

Another White Cap Cottage Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in many of these cottages, but this was the first time in #7. The obvious positive about this cottage is the location. Literally steps from the beach and water and that is truly the biggest positive. We cook quite a bit and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Good quality pots and pans.We also appreciated all the hooks in the closet and bathroom area. Great size closet.The biggest negative was the clutter in the unit. This is a very small unit. There were several large glass pieces (3) holding collections of shells. These really just took up valuable space on tables, which we needed. The other negative is the kitchen table. It is unusable. We were not able to sit there. The glass top just spins on the broken mosaic underneath The entire table is quite unstable. Small improvements needed that would make a big difference.The unit floor really needs cleaned. My husband was vacuuming within the first couple hours upon arrival due to pet hair and human hair. Furniture needs to be moved and floors cleaned.

We have stayed in this unit at least 20 times

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location, just steps from the beach, is perfect. The beach itself is never overcrowded. The cottage is small but perfect for the 2 of us and our puppy. There is a convertible couch for an extra person although I must admit it's not very comfortable. This unit does not have laundry appliances like a few of the others but there is a room onsite that has them. The cleaning of the unit between rentals could be improved. Obviously, the pros overweigh the cons or we wouldn't have returned for so many years.

Ground level, as close to the beach as you can get, not a crowded area, pet friendly, and perfect for a couple. Our unit #7 is small but plenty of room with a king bed, nice bathroom, great kitchen, and lots of light in an open living area. It is perfect for my wife and I and our medium size dog. It has a leather sleeper sofa which we did not unfold, very comfy. The rest of the furniture is just ok. Small tables, uncomfortable chairs and stools and no table and chairs outside to eat at. There is some outdoor furniture for sitting but not for eating. Inside table is very small for 2 people and just plastic molded chairs, no cushions. 2 barstools for the kitchen counter but they are not comfortable for me. My wife liked them. The bed is great, lots of pillows and towels and wash cloths. Walk in glass and tile shower is great. A nice vanity, plenty of space. We would like to see some better furniture in the living room and kitchen and outdoors. For the price it should be nicer. But overall it is a very nice unit and we had a pleasant stay. I would not put 4 people in it, nor a large dog, but is suited our needs nicely!

First trip to Sanibel. White caps was the perfect location for what we we’re looking for,(hanging out on the beach all day, grilling, and spending time together as a family). White caps #7 is one of the smaller cottages, but was fine for 2 adults and a six and seven year old. We will definitely be back!

The property was beautiful, the cottage was quaint, and the beach was magnificant. We thoroughly our stay. The only issue was that we never received a response from the owner regarding a parking inquiry. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: White Caps #7 was exactly how we like to spend a week on the beach. Part of a small little enclave of little bungalows in a quiet area. Wonderful neighbors (snow birds) only steps to the beach. Beach chairs, umbrella, shelling items, kids toys and beach mat all in the outside tub. Nice charcoal grill which was great to have and the kitchen was well equipped. Less a blender which is always a necessarily on a beach trip. Overall loved the area and the place. Finally ’s only a few doors down from The Sandbar Restaurant with the BEST food we had on the island. Shaun the bartender and all the locals who wandered in always friendly.
