General:
Located at 12 minutes from Faro airport, the sea, restaurants, the large Mar shopping center (6 min. also known as IKEA), on a hill surrounded by nature, quiet, with 1 large private shaded terrace, ocean view, ideal for 4 people, fully equipped, this house will delight nature and calm lovers. On the about 1 hectare plot (±3 acres), are built 2 houses, the owners ‘one and the house for rent. Both houses, surrounded by the vegetation, are about 25 meters apart.
There is a private access with a dedicated gate. There is a shaded parking nearby the house, on the same level, making it easy for people who have difficulties to walk.
In addition to the 180cm fence that borders the entire grounds, a small fence 100cm high delimits about 200m2 in front of the house. Convenient to delimit a wandering perimeter restricted to pets.
A pétanque court with balls is available free of charge. If you don't know how to play, we can teach you and even play with you.

Heated pool :
The pool is covered with a rolling shelter for safety for children, to stabilize the temperature as well as to avoid leaves and needles from trees.
A heat pump keeps the pool between 30°C and 33°C
As shown in the last photo (Google earth simulation), the pool is built between our own house (at the top of the photo) and the small house for rent (at the bottom of the photo).
Holidaymakers enjoy the pool to themselves as we refrain from using it when they use it.

The house consists of:
- 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with 1 large bed of 150cm
- 2 bathrooms (2 showers)
- 1 air-conditioned main living room, with a fully equipped American kitchen

Supplies and accessories:
- The doors and windows are double-glazed tilt-and-turn with mosquito nets and blackout curtains.
- Dishes, kitchen utensils, coffee makers (3 including Nespresso)
- Free 80-100Mb/s WiFi, TV-SAT (Portuguese and Spanish channels, French TNT + free foreign channels), washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, combined fridge-freezer.
- Sheets, towels, beach towels are provided
- Supply of baby equipment available on request (see photo to have an idea).

We absolutely fell in love with the accommodation! The house is well equipped with everything you need, and even a bit more :) The swimming pool became our favourite place: its size, temperature, and the view of the lovely garden around made every moment simply magnificent.Jean‑Noel and Michele are incredibly friendly, approachable, and supportive, which made our stay even more fantastic. This is definitely a place we would love to come back to one day.Highly recommended!

It was a pleasure meeting you both, and we are very pleased that you enjoyed the pool area, the cleanliness of the villa and our welcome. You are quite right that the house is not the most modern villa in the Algarve. We are very much aware of this, and every year we reinvest several thousand euros of our rental income in maintaining and improving the property. This year, for example, the exterior of the house was completely repainted and we replaced the 3 air-conditioning units with new, high-quality Daikin systems, which are more efficient and more economical to run. We could, of course, have chosen cheaper alternatives, but we prefer to invest in quality and in improvements that genuinely benefit our guests. We have also considered a complete renovation of the kitchen and replacement of much of the furniture. However, doing everything at once would represent an much bigger investment, which would inevitably have to be reflected in our rental prices. For the moment, we prefer to improve the villa continuously, year after year, while keeping our prices at a level that we feel represents very good value for a spacious, very clean house with a private pool. There are certainly newer and more contemporary villas available in the Algarve, but they also tend to come at a rather different price. Extremely easy quick access to Faro airport, v handy if you've travelled far already. Property is simple but has far more than most - a brilliantly kitted out kitchen, so Kuch spare bed linen, towels etc. super generous hosts, the kindest people who were there in an instant when we needed help but also very respectful of privacy. We learnt to play petanque with Jean-Noel and the children adored the garden which is vast and varied. The swimming pool is gorgeous even on chilly days, heated to 32 degress which was perfect for helping little children learn and gain confidence. We would return in a heartbeat and already miss our many lovely interactions with the hosts. A great place to explore the Algarve. 4/5 stars for price because the whole of the Algarve is expensive. This was actually a fair price for what we had a red and could get in school hols. Huge thanks.

Accommodation was compact, cosy and functional and provided all the necessary mod cons. It is located in a rural setting and yet close to all amenities with a rustic greenfield outlook. It benefits from a newly installed air con/heating system which was very effective when we needed it. The property has two small shower rooms although only one toilet which malfunctioned during our stay but was replaced by our host in less than 24 hours. The bedroom configuration is slighty different to the advertised photos with a double bed only in each room. The hosts Jean Noel and Michelle were very welcoming and always nearby to answer any queries. The pool is heated but at 32/33C was just too warm for us and sadly we made little use of it. The positioning in front of the hosts' own accomodation is something to consider in terms of privacy but it is very well maintained and easily accessible

We just returned from a perfect 16 day stay at this VRBO. Our stay at Casa Fado was wonderful!! The accommodations were clean and the facilities were well equipped. The kitchen had everything you would need to make complete homemade meals. There were bath towels, hand towels, facecloths and beach towels. Extra blankets and pillows were also provided. A new heating system has recently been installed which kept the house warm when the evenings were cooler.The pool was available whenever we wanted and it was very clean and kept at a comfortably warm temperature. A mention of wanting to swim to Jean-Noel and the cover was removed and ready for our swimming pleasure. There are also chairs and lounges around the pool. Excellent!The home is located where you would require a car. It is in an excellent spot if you want to be in the country with privacy. The house is overlooking the hills. A perfect spot!! The patio provides a lovely location to enjoy a morning coffee or tea with the sounds of singing birds. Exquisite! Parking is right at your door. A short drive to the ocean.We cannot say enough about the hospitality of Michele and Jean-Noel!! They were very inviting and met us, sharing all we needed to know about their VRBO upon arrival. They were very prompt responding to any questions we had. However, not at all intrusive. Full of information and a delightful couple. A holiday location full of marvellous memories! Fantastic experience

The object was sparkling clean the time we moved in. All furniture and equipments in the house were in good condition. The kitchen is quite well equipped (several more knives for cutting might be nice though. 😊). The pool is always clean and a really plus for our kids. Our 7y old boy managed to overcome his fear of water learned swimming properly in the pool during our 2weeks stay😃. The view from the front door of our house is breath taking. Ah right there is even a boule field on the property, which was also loved by our kids. The owner is a nice retired couple and welcomed us personally despite the late time in the night as we arrived. During our stay they have always been very kind and helpful everytime we would need anything. They even gave me a ride to the car rental station. The answer was always quick. They speak English, French, German and Portuguese. We really, really enjoyed our stay. The place is a little bit remote, so you def. Need a car here, with which you can reach everything easily. Thx again Michelle, jean-noel for the wonderful time. The kids are missing you already. 😊

Het vinden van het verblijf was het moeilijkst. De locatie in de app brengt je tot aan de kerk in de buurt. Van hieruit hebben we aan de verhuurder gevraagd om de locatie te delen.Op 10 minuten ben je met de auto tot aan het winkelcentrum.Het huis zelf was in orde maar het toppunt waren de katten die je komen vergezellen als je aan het zwembad ligt!

Séjour idyllique à Almancil – Un vrai petit coin de paradis !Nous avons passé 15 jours merveilleux à Almancil dans une charmante petite maison, parfaitement équipée, au calme, et avec une très belle piscine chauffée dont nous avions l’usage totalement privé. L’endroit est idéal pour se reposer, profiter du soleil de l’Algarve et rayonner dans la région.La cerise sur le gâteau ? Nos hôtes ! Un couple de retraités absolument adorables, d’une gentillesse rare, toujours disponibles sans jamais être envahissants. Leur bienveillance, leur sens de l’accueil et leur humour ont vraiment marqué notre séjour. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à échanger avec eux… et à partager plusieurs parties de pétanque dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale !Merci encore pour ces beaux moments de partage et cette parenthèse si agréable. We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen en de dag na aankomst zelfs verwend met een lekkere borrel en hapjes (op ons verzoek een dag later). Het huisje is knus maar alles is er. Je kan het terras afsluiten zodat je kindje niet niet kan weglopen (ook niet naar het zwembad). Voor kinderen veel spullen aanwezig (bedje, kinderstoel, badjas,zwemvaoe

Les proprietaires sont adorables, surtout Michelle et qui est un sucre. Ils se sont montrés très disponibles durant le séjour. Seul petit bémol, ne pas pouvoir emmener notre petit chien de 7kg près de la piscine afin de ne pas salir la plage de la piscine, alors que l'annonce indiquait qu'il pouvait se promener librement.

Merci pour votre appréciation. C'est assez cavalier de louer un hébergement pour 4 personnes et de venir à 6 personnes pour profiter à moindres frais des douches, climatisation, d'internet, de la piscine, du lave-linge, etc... Les chiens, mêmes petits, ne sont pas appréciés autour de la piscine, surtout lorsqu'ils font pipi contre les pots de fleurs et qu'ils aboient car ils veulent jouer, pendant que leurs propriétaires sont dans la piscine.

Vacances en famille

Un ptit coin de paradis où Michelle et Jean Noel sont des personnes a notre ecoute pour que nous passions de belles vacances... très bien situé au calme et proche des villes a voir ... merci a vous deux a bientôt

Séjour très agréable!

La localisation de la maison est idéale pour visiter l'Algarve. Nos hôtes, Jean-Noël et Michèle sont particulièrement accueillants et attentifs à nos moindres besoins. Ils nous ont également indiqués quelques sites et bonnes adresses. Nous les remercions pour toutes ces bonnes attentions.

Magnifique

Une location comme on aimerait en trouver plus souvent, tres propre, tres agreable, un vrai plaisir. La piscine superbe. On a pu en profiter au max, avec toute la discretion des proprietaires. Ces derniers sont d'ailleurs au petits soins pour leurs locataires, pleins de conseils avant et pendant le sejour. Bref pas d'autres termes que "parfait" sur tous les points et surtout merci a vous 2, en particulier pour le cadeau du dernier soir...😉😉😉. Une grande pensée pour nos 5 petits amis que nous nous sommes faits sur place😉😉
