Probably not the smartest choice for not so young travellers given the 4 flights of steep narrow stairs. Beds not particularly comfortable and traffic noise a constant.Internet connection was so soHowever, the great asset is the location. Easy comfortable walking distance to pretty much everything. Cafes, Racecourse, Waitrose, River Dee, etc. The outdoor area great for morning coffee
My Mum, Sister and I wanted a home from home place close to Chester so we could park up the car and walk to and from the City Centre. This is the perfect spot, literally a 10 minute walk, slightly more if you do the walk along the canal bank which we did too. You are on a main road but we were so tired after all the walking and shopping that we all nodded off easily. We decided to eat larger meals out and about and just had snacks but you could easily make proper meals, the kitchen has everything you could need. Comfy Beds, great shower and heating. Loved it. Parking is nearby but not immediately outside. Definately would not put us off going back. Ideal for a getaway. Host was brilliant both before and during our stay.
Had trouble finding the flat although great effort had been gone into informing us where it was, so thank you. Perhaps just to say it is the door next to the pub would be easier? Adequate for a short stay and so near to the centre it was a very good choice for this. Although I reminded them that there would be 5 of us there were only 4 towels and just one pillow in the sofa bed and quilt too had to be made up. The bathroom had only one light working, and there were broken panels on one of the beds. The flat carpets and hallway were stained and gave the appearance of being dirty but this didn’t matter as we were there for such a short while. Location for a weekend away is the most positive part of this stay and the cost is brilliant too so not expecting top spec.
We had a lovely time, the apartment was perfect and had everything we needed. It was very clean and a perfect location for exploring Chester. The communication from the host was fantastic as well.
