Op dag van aankomst werden we gebeld en konden we de sleutel bij het appartement krijgen in plaats van in het verder gelegen Malinska. Het vinden van het huis was wel wat ingewikkelder, het beste kun je navigeren naar de GPS punten in plaats van via de straatnaam. De eigenaresse die op de benedenverdieping woont ontving ons vriendelijk en gaf een goede uitleg over het appartement en het eiland. Ze spreekt prima Engels. Het appartement is zeer netjes en schoon. Het appartement is eigenlijk precies zoals op de foto's. Het balkon was voor ons prima maar voor vier personen waarschijnlijk wat aan de krappe kant. Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon is daarentegen heel mooi. Je kijkt over de zee naar Rijeka. Het dorpje Omisalj is niet erg groot en het minst toeristisch van het eiland. Een leuke tip is om te gaan zwemmen bij het strandje waar je uitzicht hebt op de brug van Krk, hier is het niet erg druk en je hebt er een mooi uitzicht.

Eigenaar had zelf contact met ons opgenomen op de dag van aankomst om te laten weten dat we naar het appartement zelf mochten rijden en niet naar het adres van de sleutel moesten gaan. Vriendelijke dame, spreekt vlot Engels, heeft dadelijk het appartement uitgelegd. Appartement is nieuw en exact zoals de foto's het weergeven. Eigenaars wonen op gelijkvloers, eerste verdieping zijn 2 appartementen. Uitzicht vanop het terras is naar zee, met wel links van je de raffinaderij en rechts de luchthaven. Je hebt geen last van de raffinaderij, alleen het uitzicht is wat jammer. De vliegtuigen hoor je buiten wel landen of stijgen, maar hangt van hun vliegrichting af en stoort niet heel erg. Omgeving is niet super toeristisch, maar wel aangenaam rustig, geen massatoerisme. Heel mooie baaien, waar niet zoveel volk is en waar je ruim plaats aan het water hebt. Er zijn zelfs baaien, waar je je auto bij je kort aan het strand kan plaatsen. Uitstappen in de omgeving zijn weinig te doen.
