Casa Palma 2, economic, beautiful view

This bright and charming apartment of 70 square meters is located in the centre of Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. The owner renovated it completely in March 2019. To reach it you have to climb just 14 steps.

From the two terraces you have an amazing view of the coastline with Positano on your right hand and the island of Capri (according to the weather conditions). The terraces are equipped with a table, chairs and deck chairs. You enter them either from the bedrooms or from the kitchen.

Casa Palma 2 consists of 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom with fully enclosed shower and hairdryer, one kitchen with all necessary amenities for a pleasant stay: gas cooker, dishwasher, electric oven, fridge and freezer, American style coffee maker, kettle, a table for 6 guests, a sofa which unfolds into a double divan bed, a television and many other useful appliances. A second bathroom with fully enclosed shower, hairdryer and a laundry room with iron and ironing board complete the furnishings.

You will find the closest grocery at 200 meters, the SITA bus stop n. 5 at 90 meters and the rocky beach of La Gavitella at 500 meters. There isb the parking also for large cars.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The location, in Praiano, was perfect in that it was between Amalfi and Positano which are both very crowded. The property was exactly how it was described, extremely clean, comfortable, easily accessible, had everything you would need, the views..........stunning and Gemma was charming!

We had restaurants, markets, and bus stop all within walking distance. Liked being in Praiano - less touristy. Perfect view of Positano from our terrace! Gemma kind and helpful.

A beautiful place to stay

My fiancé and I had a wonderful time here! The apartment was so clean and spacious. Gemma, the property manager was so nice and brought us fresh produce from her garden and some baked goods! The location was great, right in the main road in Praiano. It was easy for driving and for taking the bus to get to Amalfi and Positano. We such an amazing stay here and will definitely be back again!

Stunning

Our favourite part of our trip to Italy was this location. Walking to restaurants, shops and both beaches. It’s about 25 minutes to the larger beach that has access to boat excursions. We walked and never took a bus (lots of steps but we got a good workout)! Gemma was great and the location and view cannot be beat!

Excellent stay in Praiano

Perfect two bedroom apartment right in the heart of Praiano, with a number of shops and very good restaurants within a short walk. Only about a 10 minute walk down hill to the beach and just a short boat/taxi/bus ride to Positano and other locations. Stunning views. The caretaker Gemma was incredibly helpful and let us help ourselves to fruit in her garden. She even baked us a pie! We would all happily stay here again.

Unforgettable Views

The views can not be beat and the location is perfect. You can walk to many restaurants and the market. All the comforts needed for a home away from home. Thanks to Gemma who is a very gracious woman and “landlady”. She takes great pride in her home and sharing it with others. A trip we will never forget. Ciao Ciao Praiano, we will return!

Beautiful view in Praiano

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Gemma met us and showed us around. It would’ve been very helpful if we spoke better Italian but she was very kind and welcoming. The apartment was clean and spacious. It is listed as a 3 bedroom which it is not. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cookware and some necessities. We did have to buy our own coffee. One thing to note was that the bigger bedroom with the balcony shares a wall with Gemma’s apartment. We could hear her and often it was more noise than we would like at night and early morning. The neighborhood has some restaurants and cafes as well as a market. Beware that walking to anything is precarious as the road is narrow and winding with busy traffic. We went to a lovely service at the nearby beautiful church. We also walked up to the Path of The Gods right from the street near the apartment. There is also a bus stop right outside. This apartment was a great deal for the money and the view from the balcony was spectacular!

Beautiful Praiano

We loved our few days in Praiano. A couple of notes. First, the location of the apartment has limited beach access. There is a beautiful private beach club located just down the mountain (approximately 300 steps) that we enjoyed on 2 separate occassions. However, it is extremely expensive (100 euros per adult and 60 euros per child (we are family of 5). If you are looking for a free beach, there is one located on the opposite side of town (about a 30 minute walk or 10 minute cab ride which will cost you 40 euros each way). These were the downsides to Praiano. With that being said, it is postcard beautiful and the apartment has an absolutley love and large balcony over looking the ocean and Positano. We loved our landlady. She is very sweet. She speaks no English, but is able to effectively communicate on how the apartment functions (running dishwasher, etc). Also, she was kind enough to make us a wonderful tiramisu which was a hit with our kids. Downside to apartment - the primary bedroom shares a wall with the owner's home. A very thin wall and you can hear everything. Bathrooms are large for European standards and everything is updated very nicely.

Chez Gemma

La propriété de Gemma était vraiment super. La localisation était parfaite. Sur la rue principale donc à côté des épiceries, resto et tous les services. L’appartement est situé dans le sous-sol mais avec un walk-out à l’arrière et vue imprenable sur la mer. Terrasse extérieure très grande. Nous y avons passé de belles heures à regarder les couchers de soleil. Gemma nous a reçus avec un super dessert: Tiramisu maison qu’on a pu déguster durant tout notre séjour. Le seul problème qui a causé un désagrément au couple qui couchait dans la grande chambre, c’est que l’eau chaude était quasi inexistante dans la douche de cette salle de bain. C’était plutôt décevant. Mais outre l’eau chaude, cet endroit était merveilleux.

Une vue magnifique et un accueil hors pair!

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Gemma. L’appartement est très spacieux et très très propre. La vue sur la mer et sur Positano est un spectacle continuel. Merci à Gemma pour le tiramusi et la tarte…succulent!

Empfehlenswert - Top Lage -

Die FeWo ist gross, mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, (incl. Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler etc, schöne Terrasse. In einem der beiden Schlafzimmer gibt eine Zwischentür zum Vermieter. Dadurch wird es ein bisschen hellhörig, wenn nebenan gesprochen wird oder das Radio/TV läuft. Moderne Duschen, sauber und geräumig, Parken kann zusätzlich gemietet werden, ( 20 Euro pro Tag) Verkehrsanbindung ist super, da die Bushaltestelle direkt vorm Haus ist. Sehr nette Vermieterin, die stets um unser Wohlergehen bemüht war. Viele Tips bekommen, Busplan etc. Anfahrt etwas schwierig, da die Strasse sehr eng ist und sonst keinerlei Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus zur Verfügung stehen. Man kann kurz beim Restaurant vis a vis parken oder weiter unten um sich mit der Vermieterin zu treffen. Ausblick sensationell, viel Abendsonne (Positano ist da schon im Schatten) Internet ist nicht das schnellste (max 4 -5 mbit/s aber das liegt an der italienischen Telekom. Kann auch an 2 Personen vermietet werden, da fällt dann ein Schlafzimmer weg und man ist dann nur für sich. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Praiano at its finest!

If you’re looking for an authentic way to experience the Amalfi Coast without the touristy hubbub, look no further! Beautiful property with unparalleled views. Gemma was a gracious and generous host - we felt like we were right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon!

Amazing views and wonderful host

The apartment is lovely and exactly as advertised. Easy to reach both Positano and Amalfi by bus and the views from the terraces are amazing. We were met on our arrival by Gemma who was so kind to us during our stay. She provided a ton of information about the area and gave us figs and lemons from her garden, shared bottles of her wine and even made us a fabulous tiramisu on our second night. We were blown away by her kindness and had an amazing time! The beauty of the area and its people cannot be beat. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. The only (minor) item was the wifi connection wasn't great if that is important to you but it wasn't a big deal for us.
