About this property

Casa Ugdulena con Piscina by Wonderful Italy

Art and nobility in the heart of Kalsa, Casa Ugdulena is part of a building from the 8th century and a piece of the Italian and Sicilian history.

Casa Ugdulena will allow you to deeply feel Palermo’s vibes and historical reminiscence, thanks to its beauty, elegance and traditional design, characterized by beautiful antique furnishing items. Here lived also some Italian patriots such as Nino Bixio and Gregorio Ugdulena, descendent of the known Sicilian family Ugdulena.

Stepping inside the house, guests will pass through the common hall and the garden with a pool, shared with another non-hotel accommodation. Walking further from here, guests will get to the first floor which directly faces the garden with a pool. The wide and bright living room is the heart of Casa Ugdulena, while the first bedroom, furnished with a queen-sized bed, is decorated with amazing frescoes and precious flooring. On the same floor, there is a toilet and a fully equipped kitchen where a spiral staircase leads to the upper level. The second floor gives space to two additional bright bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a single one, both facing a terrace, a perfect location for sunbathing or simply relaxing. In addition, guests will also have access to a 50s-style bathroom with shower/tub on the second floor.

*Shared pool is not heated but can be used year-round. Use of a swimming cap may be required.

*The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.

*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.

Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities of art in the country and the capital of Sicily, offers plenty of wonderful Unesco heritage sites that can be visited in the four historic districts of the city. In this regard, tourists can take part in the "Baroque itinerary of Palermo' to visit the main monuments of the city, such as the Church of the Holy Savior, the Church of Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto and the Church of the Conception. The city also offers the opportunity to participate in the "Tour of the Historical Markets of Palermo' which will allow guests to explore the markets of Ballarò and Capo. It doesn’t matter if it’s lunch or snack time, it is strictly required to taste the dishes with your hands only! This tour will also give tourists the opportunity to admire prominent buildings, streets and squares.

The apartment is at only 1 km from the main railway station, where guests will also find the bus stop for the airport shuttle. Before your arrival, we will send you more info on places to go, and things to see and taste. Please do not hesitate to ask us for more!

Splendid Stay

I start by stating that our host Juan Diego was a pleasant and assuring person. We loved to hear all the history of the property and about Palermo. The property was so rich in family history. It was clean and in an ideal location for moving around my foot.

Thank you for your feedback, Eva. We are sorry for the misunderstanding related to the swimming pool. We would like to underline that we always try to compile our ads as fully as possible, indeed we specified that it is shared with other guests. Historical and Beautiful

Imagine living in part of a palace from 300 years ago!! Casa d'arte Ugdulena is an historic flat that still houses many original art and decor. It is stunning and indie not want to leave! It has 3 bedrooms on 2 floors, 1.5 bathrooms, full bath upstairs WC downstairs, a roof top patio, and full kitchen. The owner is most gracious! The flat is walking distance to all major historical attractions and some excellent restaurants. It is a stunning flat and I will stay again!
