If you are looking for a great base for a walking holiday, then this is it.
If you are looking for a great base for a walking holiday, then this is it. It is comfortable and roomy for two people. It is warm (we went in February), and Amanda the owner was friendly and welcoming. There are some really good walks close by. We had a really good week.
If I was to be picky, the kitchen equipment lets the cottage down a bit, but all in all, very good value for money.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by our hostess.
On arrival we were warmly greeted by our hostess. We were asked if we would prefer to use Mill Moor Cottage, as a problem with the heating was being dealt with in The Stables. So the above figures apply to that cottage but the Stables looked to be of a similar high standard.
It was comfortable, had wonderful character and ambiance, really comfortable bed. It was a pleasure to return here each day after enjoying several hours out on the cold hills surrounding Ullswater
We thoroughly enjoyed staying on this working farm.
