Really enjoyed my 2nd visit to erikas cottage, the whole cottage was clean and tidy, getting in touch with the owner peter was easy, but the main thing for me is the peace and quiet, and the great view, and seeing the red squirels was brilliant will be booking another visit next year
We love this property for it's fantastic location and proximity to loads of scenic walks. It's important to be dog friendly and the garden and adjoining wood are perfect as you are immersed by nature and it's so peaceful.Local pubs and a great farm shop nearby all add to the experience. The cottage is well equipped and cosy.
Beautiful views from this very comfortable, clean, well equipped, peaceful property. A great location for exploring the Northern Lakes and getting down to the central Lakes. We highly recommend.
Cottage was very well laid out with stunning scenic views. Very peaceful and quiet plenty wildlife to see.One negative was the cushions on the sofa were covered in dogs hairs not a good point if you don't have dogs.

Thank you for the feedback and I'm very sorry about the dog hairs, the cleaners are normally very thorough but I will point this out to them. Otherwise I hope you enjoyed your stay.
It was very clean, pet friendly. The scenery was beautiful. I would definitely recommend the cottage. My particular health needs were also taken into consideration.
A lovely, well appointed cottage in The Lake District. Spectacular view and easy access to the Motorway, Penrith and Keswick. A perfect spot with possible pheasant sightings! Highly recommend a stay at Pete and Debbie's Erika's Cottage.
This property is ideally located to explore Keswick and surrounding area. For the two of us plus a dog the outdoor space is always important and the garden is perfect and enclosed. The cottage really has everything you need plus an amazing farm shop nearby. Local pub in Threlkeld is handy for meals.Personally though it is the view onto the hills which is just stunning and easy access to some great walks which sells it for me. Beside the cottage is a small wood so whichever window you look out of nature is all around and this is why we will return again.
A comfortable cottage perfectly located. Quiet and rural feeling yet accessible to Keswick. Ideal for walking the fells and also mooching the shops and restaurants in Keswick, Basecamp etc. The cottage was cosy and well equipped, perfect to come back to after a day out exploring.
Lovely little cottage, nestled in peace and quiet, its our 3rd stay and we enjoy coming here, the hosts are lovely, and there's plenty to do with a short drive.
All very clean. Excellent kitchen. Views fabulous. Great responsive heating system. Please have a shaving mirror and light over the existing bathroom mirror
Lovely cottage, all cleaning products provided, very comfortable bed . Heating first class and shower was great. View was AMAZING. Park to the side of the cottage to avoid bird poop
Lovely cottage, idea base for walking in the Lakes. We stayed in February, with snow on the ground. The view of Blencathra is stunning and the heating in the cottage made us feel very cosy.
This was our second stay in the cottage , the place is lovely , you have all the facilities what you need when staying for a few days , even down to washing machine ( which we have never had to use ) .There is plenty of information in the drawer in the coffee table about different walks and places near to visit. There’s also a lovely big garden to sit out if weather is fine and it’s all enclosed so no pets can get out, if you decide to take your dogs. There’s also host is always only a message away if you have any problems and he gets back to you pretty quickly which is good, even on a Sunday. We had an issue with Netflix on the Sunday , as it was fine on the Saturday , unfortunately we couldn’t get it working but he did say he could send someone out on the Monday , which we didn’t bother as we were out all day and was leaving early Tues morning. The only thing I will say is that this time the cleaner only left 1 and 1/2 toilet rolls for 3 days, which wasn’t enough and there’s no shops locally so you will need to drive if you want a shop and when we stripped the bed on the morning we were leaving there were a few big stains on the mattress which weren’t there last year, it did have a protector on so wouldn’t of seen it if we didn’t strip the bed.But overall we like it because it’s quiet, clean and spacious and near to a lot of things to do round the lakes. We will be back

Dear guests - I'm glad you enjoyed your second stay at the cottage and will pass on the comments regarding the toilet rolls and mattress to our cleaner. The issue with Netflix has now been resolved, which just required household confirmation.
