'Starboard View' is a well-appointed duplex apartment with stunning sea views overlooking Cabanas Island and the beautiful Ria Formosa Natural Park. Furnished to a high standard, the apartment comprises of 2 double en-suite bedrooms with air conditioning and fitted wardrobes, a separate bathroom on the lower floor, lounge/dining room with balcony, utility area, roof top terrace and a private underground car park.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, dual gas/electric hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, juice extractor and dishwasher. Other amenities include free wi-fi, washing machine, iron & ironing board, hairdryers and a vacuum cleaner. There is also beach equipment, sun umbrellas and 2 sun loungers.

The spacious lounge / dining room has a large screen TV with 150 local and international channels, DVD player with sound bar, 2 sofas, coffee table, dining table with 6 chairs and air conditioning. The lounge balcony has a bistro-style table with 2 chairs whilst the roof top terrace has a larger table with 4 chairs.

Water taxis to Cabanas Island are only a 1 minute walk away and the short crossing provides access to 7 km of beautiful unspoilt beaches which have lifeguards in designated areas in high season. On the island is a café-bar, showers, toilet facilities and sun beds with umbrellas are available for rent.

There are numerous other outdoor activities to enjoy that are also within short walking distance, include bike hire, kayaking, boat trips, kite surfing, fishing trips, coastal walks and bird watching. There are 5 golf courses only a short drive away.

The perfect waterfront location for a stay in Cabanas

Our second stay at this apartment, which is perfectly positioned on the edge of Cabanas, overlooking the waterfront and open countryside. Everything you will need is close at hand, secure off-road parking is provided, and arrangements for picking up and leaving keys were excellent. We will definitely want to visit again!

Very enjoyable stay

We spent a week enjoying everything about Cabanas including this apartment which was exactly as the pictures and description advertised and had everything we needed. Not all the shops and restaurants were open during our stay (last week of January) but we still had great options. We would be more than happy to stay in this picturesque location again.

Just perfect!

Property well located, with all the necessary amenities for a good stay. Excellent views over the estuary and good sun exposure. Very close to the boats to the beach and support structures such as a supermarket, market and restaurants.

Highly recommend this property. Perfect location. Stunning views. The apartment was cleaned to a very high standard. We like to self cater so we were impressed by the well equipped kitchen. Cannot fault it. We will be back.

Restorative getaway

We just had the best time! Quiet, clean, spacious, panoramic views with plenty of little outdoor balconies or terrace nookies. The air conditioning was wonderful. My only regret was not to be able to use the jaccuzzi with hot water. Hopefully Nick will fix it by the time I come back!

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. Cabanas is a charming town with several good restaurants, and the apartment is ideally located at one end of town — just a short walk from shops, eateries, and the boat to a stunning sandy beach.The apartment itself is spacious and bright, with comfortable furnishings and several windows offering sight of the water. The terrace off the living room is a particularly pleasant spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. While the direct view of the water from the living room is currently somewhat obscured by a tree, the setting remains peaceful and relaxing.The kitchen is well equipped, and having access to secure underground parking was a real bonus. One small thing to note is that there wasn’t a welcome pack or basic information provided in the apartment — details like where to find the bins or any starter supplies would have been helpful.Nick, the host, responded quickly to emails before we booked and has also been very receptive to a couple of suggestions we made following our stay.

Beds were uncomfortable, mattresses need replacement. Coffee machine not working. Second bedroom is only really suitable for children. Kitchen equipment generally needs attention.

Un excellent rapport qualité-prix-nature

Pour ceux qui préfèrent cette partie de l’Algarve bien moins urbanisée, l’appartement de Nick est très pratique et confortable pour une famille. Au bord de l’eau, dans un quartier pas trop dense fait d’immeubles modernes bas, la résidence dotée d’un parking se trouve à deux pas des plages « au naturel » de la Ria Formosa et de la charmante ville de Tavira où il est très sympa d’aller le soir.

Excelente propriedade: localização premium, perto dos barcos que nos levam à praia. Tem uma vista magnífica para a Ria Formosa e para a praia. Zona tranquila. A casa está equipada de forma inteligente e funcional: tem tudo, sem excessos, sem inutilidades. A decoração é leve, conferindo à casa um ambiente confortável. A perfect place for enjoying the beauty and tranquility of Cabanas.

One of the best locations in Cabanas, overlooking the waterfront and island, handy for all local amenities. The apartment is comfortable and we’ll equipped, with balconies on two levels.
