The property is stunning. In a lovely village quiet and peaceful. The host family are amazing nothing was too much trouble and as animal lovers on a small farm was even better.

A great place to stay.
A great place to stay. After booking I was worried it might be too small or there may have been photography tricks but no this is a great place to stay. The bed is a good size the sofa is super comfy and the owners were very friendly and even left out some mince pies and presseco when we arrived which was a very nice touch.
As other reviews have mentioned the only slight critique I would have is that the shower could do with a curtain as it’s a very powerful shower head and can end up with a wet bathroom floor if not careful. All and All I’d give this place 10/10 it was a really nice relaxing stay.

Stayed at the Saddle Room for a 7-night getaway with my partner.
Quiet location, off gated driveway, next to the owners’ property. Extremely clean on arrival, with milk and homemade shortbread kindly provided by the owners. The adjoining property was occupied, but this did not affect our stay in any way - the wall insulation was very good.
Village has a community-run shop, but nearest sizeable supermarket was about 30 mins away. Very convenient for visiting nearby Salisbury and Bournemouth.
Cottage was very well equipped and bed extremely comfortable (we enjoyed 7 very good nights!), but there were a few problems with the oven/hob. The oven didn’t appear to turn on and there were no instructions provided, and one of the hobs was faulty (wouldn’t turn off unless appliance power was cut).
Shower pressure was great, but glass panel was inadequate for preventing some flooding of the bathroom.
Overall, these were minor issues which wouldn’t in any way stop us from thoroughly recommending the Saddle Room. We thank the owners for a brilliant October getaway!

Lovely cottage, but a bit too remote for us, hence only 8 for location, however this is a personal thing and would probably suit most people. The cottage, although bijou, is very well equipped and was very comfortable. There was everything we needed, plenty of hot water and all the electrical med cons that we needed. The owners, we only met Kathryn, were very discreet and helpful. There are lovely walks straight from the door. We spent our days going around the new forest, Verwood, Salisbury and Christchurch. And we didn’t have any rain, what a bonus.

My son and I had the most amazing time here.
My son and I had the most amazing time here. 4 days of chill out, adventures and fun. Accommodation was beautiful, my son, aged 4 was totally in his element and I adored watching him roam around the farm, free and enjoying himself. It was totally what we needed and we were so welcomed - lovely hosts and so friendly. The shortbread that was out for us when we arrived was perfect too and so delicious plus homemade jam for when we left too. We will be back for sure. It was everything I wanted for some quality mum and son time away. Thank you ?
