Lovely well equipped property.Didn't look as if it had been cleaned properly in a while.Lots of cobwebs, lounge floor hadn't been cleaned as dead bugs and dust under furniture and by the patio door. Crumbs in cutlery drawer. Inside cupboards sticky and grubby around door latches!Carpets in the bedrooms a bit grubby. Grouting in wet rooms could do with regrouping. Cannot say this is a luxury property.

Very surprised with the negative comments in review. All of our properties are thoroughly cleaned after each guest has departed. We constantly receive many positive comments regarding cleanliness.

Perfect Stay-Over for Local Tourism!

This quaint little cottage is located in a strategic area that gives great access to local town centres and iconic heritage sites such as Bath and Stonehenge. Very affordable and well-furnished, this cottage has all you need to rest from your travels!

Barn Cottage

Barn Cottage was lovely, very clean and tidy with lovely friendly hosts/owners. It was lovely having the en-suite on each bedroom. Located in a beautiful area. Would recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely break/ trip staying at the beautiful barn ,which was absolutely perfect , so quiet & peaceful, fantastic location & base to explore. Awesome

Absolutely fabulous,if I could give this accomodation 100 star's I would, nothing was to much trouble and the accommodation had everything we could have wished for.It's had the most comfortable bed I had ever slept in, very clean and definitely warm.

Annual TankFest Trip

Third year visiting with friends in Alderholt (same time of year), second year that the fellas trekked to TankFest at Bovington. Feels like this was definitely the best out of all three vacation rentals that we tried; pity we didn’t find/try it the first time!Heather & Denis have obviously put in a lot of time and effort to creating such a delightful cabin/cottage; very comfortable, nice touches, looking forward to our next stay!

Excellent place to stay. Nice quiet location with easy access to New Forest

The accommodation is very comfortable with everything you need provided. 2 bedrooms each with a spacious bathroom. Self contained kitchen and open lounge. Although it is in a quiet location it’s not far from the beaches of Bournemouth and the towns of Fordingbridge and Rongwood. Many thanks to our hosts, Heather & Denis for a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely Cottage

The cottage was absolutely lovely and both Heather and Dennis are such lovely people. The cottage itself was absolutely perfect with everything you could need and location perfect. Cosy Rural Escape

I spent Christmas and New Year at Barn Cottage. The cottage has everything you need including a wood burning stove for winter evenings. You are close to many walks in Ringwood Forest and beyond. Good access to the A31 and the rural roads to Dorset and Wiltshire. Heather and Dennis make you feel at home on their farm. It’s great place for a rural get away! Thank you!

Short break - Friday to Wednesday

Just home, wish we were still there and would love to come again. The Barn is to a high standard with everything we could have wanted, it’s just lovely, well looked after and presented, the log burner, bedding and beds comfortable, area is quiet and peaceful. Having it’s own secure outside garden area was perfect for our two little dogs. Co-Op at the end of the lane in Alderholt itself is perfect for picking up supplies, and everywhere we wanted to visit was within a short drive. From us, it’s a 10/10, so thank you.

fast perfekt, unbedingt zu empfehlen

Die Wohnung war genau wie beschrieben. Sehr gemütlich, sauber und alles vorhanden, was man hätte benötigen können. Mit meinem Rollstuhl konnte ich mich gut im Wohn- Essbereich bewegen. Auch eine moderne Heizung ist vorhanden. Zeitweise waren Gäste in der Nebenwohnung - man hat von ihnen überhaupt nichts gehört! Die Vermieter waren sehr hilfsbereit und die Lage der Wohnung war perfekt für Ausflüge in die nähere und fernere Umgebung. Als einzigen Mangel haben wir den zum Teil schlechten Internetempfang empfunden, der sicherlich für den ein oder anderen ein Segen wäre. Aber das kann man dem Vermieter nicht anlasten.

Excellent property & surroundings

Had a wonderful stay with my two sisters one of which is disabled. Heather & Denis were so helpful to ensure our stay was enjoyable and we had everything we needed. Cottage is very clean & had good quality furnishings with very comfy beds. Loved the local Churchill pub excellent atmosphere & service. Looking forward to returning!

Schönes Cottage in perfekter Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Für uns Drei + Hund hatte das Cottage alles was wir brauchten und die Lage ist perfekt. Sehr ruhig, aber die perfekte Ausgangslage für Ausflüge, Sightseeing und Strand. Wir wurden herzlich willkommen geheißen und Hunde sind erlaubt. Auf der Terrasse haben wir jeden Morgen gefrühstückt und es gibt wohl auch die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen, was wir jedoch nicht genutzt haben. Rundherum eine schöne Woche in Alderholt!!!

What a lovely peaceful setting

The cottage was warm and inviting with lovely creature comforts provided. There were lovely little touches through out. The hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend as a base to explore the New Forest and the south. Very relaxing environment
