Spacious. Lovely Views
The house itself was very nice. Lots of space for us all and well furnished. The host had left a thoughtful welcome basket with some food items which was a nice touch. The hot tub was great and the separate cabin with the fire pit was extra special. However, our experience was made more stressful by receiving no contact from the owner on the day that we arrived. I had emailed in the morning to confirm details of how to access the property and did not get a reply. On arrival we had no idea how we were supposed to get in. There were three doors to the property and eventually my sister found a key safe which she used to access the back door keys. I just felt this was a stress we didnt need. We were all travelling from different areas of the country and arriving at different times, and as I had booked the property I was being asked how we would get in and had no answer. I have emailed and text the host after our stay also to discuss this and to recommend a different approach to make it better for future bookings, but had no reply to either. Also, we felt it would have been helpful if the host had mentioned the amount of flies that were around the property. There were signs saying to shut the windows when we leave, but our advice would be to minimise opening the doors or windows at all!! We were constantly battling with the flies everyday and it was disgusting. We would like to recommend to the owner to put up fly curtains at the doors. i have run out of room to say more

Amazing family holiday
We haven’t all been together for almost three years so to be there as a family was the best thing and to have the facilities such as the hot tub and the artic house helped make our break to be one to remember Only thing we found were lots of flies which being in the country side can’t be helped The cinema room was a family favourite also

Had a lovely stay at Castle View and were impressed with the privacy of the property, breathtaking views and cleanliness. It worked well with 3 young children being with us, however there was very little to do within a close proximity to the property so longer car trips were necessary for days out. The property was of a good and modern standard, though some mattresses need replacing in our opinion and the upstairs floorboards at one end of the property are VERY noisy, causing a few disturbances for people staying both upstairs and downstairs at that end. However the rooms themselves were of a good standard, as were the living areas and bathrooms. Be prepared for the bath water to not be very clear as the property is not on mains water...would be a bit of a shock when running a bath if you weren’t aware of this! The cinema room was a lovely extra, however be aware that the sky tv is not available up there and we did have a lot of problems with the WIFI too when it came to watching things on catch up or Netflix. We also took two dogs with us who loved it and we were very happy with how secure the property was for them on the outside. Overall a lovely big space with lovely extras outside which are needed due to the isolation of the property.
