Comfortable and spacious

This is a high quality property and ideally situated between Rhayader and Llandrindod Wells. Very peaceful and being in the dark sky park great night time skies too, if the clouds part in time. If you fancy cycling make sure you bring your e-bike as some of the hills are brutal.

Ärger mit Vermieter

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe Biologen in der Gegend für eine Feldstudie für 2 Monate und hatten dafür diese Unterkunft für 2x4 Wochen gebucht. Obwohl die Lage praktisch für uns war und die Unterkunft ok, gibt es nur einen Punkt, da die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sehr zeitraubend und nervig war. Alle Kommunikation ging nur via whatsapp. NAch unseren ersten 4 Wochen wurde meine Kreditkarten sofort mit GBP250 belastet (max. Kautionshöhe, welche der Vermieter im Falle eines Schadens einfordern kann). Seine Begründung: Wir hätten soviel mehr Strom verbraucht mit unseren mitgebrachten Geräten. Das waren 2 Laptops, 2 iPads und ein extra Bildschirm für einen Laptop. Ich habe dem Vermieter gesagt, dass ich damit nicht einverstanden bin und ich zumindest gern eine Stromabrechnung sehen würde, aber da kam leider nichts. Obendrein wird das ganze Haus elektrisch beheizt, so dass unsere Geräte kaum Einfluss gehabt haben dürften. Nach der zweiten Periode wurde sofort wieder extra abgerechnet. Einen kleineren Schaden an der Tapete hatten wir tatsächlich mit Klebeband verursacht. Den wollte ich auch gern bezahlen. Ich hatte um eineRechnung für die Reparatur gebeten, aber auch da kam wieder nichts. Die Kaution trotzdem abgebucht. Außerdem wurde noch für einen fehlenden Stuhl abgerechnet. NAch mehreren Whatsapps, in welchen ich versichert habe, dass wir keinen Stuhl geklaut haben, wurde der Stuhl doch gefunden. DAs wurde zurück erstattet, aber hat trotzdem wieder Zeit und Nerven gekostet

Hi - this seems to be a rather unbalanced review - the reason for using whatsapp was because the lead guest had a mobile phone registered overseas and was happy to therefore use mobile data to communicate so whatsapp was the obvious choice agreed because they were not at the cottage, which has unlimited wifi, all of the time. When the cleaner arrived at the arranged schedule they did see desktop screens in use and an office set up we were not aware of before, the other deduction was for the damage to the wallpaper. There were quite a few messages over the 8 weeks period inevitably, as we realised the lead guest was not actually staying there all the time and we needed to know who was there and just tried to ensure others in the team were familiar. Clearly this did not work well for the wallpaper as it was torn off when tape applied was removed. We had to wait 2 months for the decorator to be available to patch in the wallpaper damage with the spare matching roll. It was important to message after the cleaner's visit in e.g. reminding the guests not to leave socks drying on the heaters for your own safety. No-one suggested a chair had been stolen, when it was located, the £85 deduction for this was refunded. We would welcome you again for another project just ensure these areas are communicated on beforehand, and it seems we were just doing our best to adapt to a number of issues we weren't aware of in advance. The lead guest did say the team arriving before had sent them pictures and the cottage was very nice. Alot of effort goes into the preparation and we have had many very good reviews from other guests. Thank you any way for taking the time to submit. All the best...
