An amazing holiday was had by my son and I.

An amazing holiday was had by my son and I. He is train mad and absolutely loved staying here. He is now trying to decide which one next. The swimming pool, hot tub and sauna were amazing and only either a short walk or very short drive away. The carriages were spotless and the cake was scrummy. The carriages were small but quirky and contained everything that you could need for a week's holida

The carriages were small but quirky and contained everything that you could need for a week's holiday. They were very clean and the beds were very comfy. We loved visiting the Middy Bar on the Friday evening and eating Turkish style food from the food van. Went back to ride on the steam train and have a drink in the bar on the Sunday. Only negative is that the leisure facilities need an overhaul - there are no toilets, nowhere to get changed (apart from a very small cordoned off area by the swimming pool) and with so many plants growing through the roof, there were flies everywhere which got into the pool and the hot tub. Enjoyed it very much great facilities with the pool and hot tub nearby. Bit too far from the coast but that was more of an error from our part. It was a lovely peaceful place and very clean. If you have a dog then be aware you arent enclosed and it gets very hot in the carriage so not great for the 4 legged friends...made ours a bit grumpy but all in all we had a great time.
