Penthouse - Bay Front - 2 Story - Sleeps 8 at South Seas Island Resort, Captiva

Wake up to the serene stillness of Pine Island Sound.

Newly updated in 2024! The perfectly designed top floor plan offers 1 large master suite with a king-sized bed and en suite bath. There are 2 additional full baths one of which is also en suite. The screened Lanai has wonderful views of the Bay and Marina. Including the master bedroom, there are 3 bedrooms in total. One is equipped with 2 Queen-sized beds and the other with a king-sized bed. The water-front views and sunrises overlooking the Bay, Pine Island Sound, and Causeway are a wonderful part of every stay. This is a corner unit allowing plenty of natural light too. The updated kitchen is open to the living room with a breakfast bar for casual dining. There is also a full-sized washer and dryer in the unit. Each bedroom has a mounted flat-screen TV. The largest pool on the south end of the resort is located here with a water-facing deck, hot tub, and restrooms. Enjoy your snacks and beverages poolside or grill some burgers and hot dogs at the pool-side gas grills. There is covered parking available. Take a short stroll to the world-renowned beaches and enjoy the beautiful ponds and tropical lush vegetation you will see along the way. Enjoy the attractions of Captiva and visit nearby Sanibel Island (20-minute drive).

*PLEASE NOTE: We are not part of the South Sea Resort's rental guest program so guests do not pay for and are not eligible to use South Seas’ amenities, i.e. golf, water park or the North slide pool.
You will, however, have access to the beach, our pool (shown in the photos) and the trolley bus for exploring the North end of the resort.

The host was very responsive and welcoming and had great advice for enjoying the area during our stay. The unit we stayed in was very clean and stocked with necessary items to make it comfortable. The nearby private beach access was top notch and one of our main enjoyments.

The accommodation was excellent. Great location and very quiet. Kitchen was well appointed. My only suggestion is that if you intend to cook there are no basic cooking ingredients (ie: salt, pepper, cooking spray etc.) so be sure to plan ahead. Beds and pillows well very comfortable. In unit washer and dryer is great. I would definitely recommend this condo.

Amazing property

The condo was very clean and the great views of the marina. We stayed last year as well and we’ll definitely be back again. Loved relaxing on the porch and the pool was really close too. Had a great week!

Beautiful Property

Captiva Island is one of our favorite vacation spots in Florida. We usually stay at the South Seas Resort, but this time we were looking for a more spacious property that felt more like a home away from home. This property exceeded our expectations. The kids enjoyed all the table games, and the beach chairs and umbrella were an excellent addition for our sunset outings.

The Perfect Captiva Girls Weekend

We LOVED our stay here! It’s tucked away but close to everything you need on the island. Clean, comfortable and modern. The hosts were very communicative and ensured we had all information needed prior to and during the duration of our stay. Highly recommend and would stay here again when we come back!

Relax in paradise

This is a beautiful condo overlooking the bay. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach. Also very close to great restaurants that are within walking distance. Quiet building ina great location. Would definitely stay here again!

Property was exceptional. The 3 bedrooms were large and well appointed. We enjoyed the living room area. We experienced a good deal of construction noise during the day but it was not a major issue. Only recommendation is to replace or repair front door. Thank you for the use of your beautiful property.

We enjoyed our week here and found the condo to have everything we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. Between the condo itself and the owners storage locker, the place came with everything we needed for spending time at both the pool and the beach. The only thing that could have made the stay better was if the check out time could be a little later (10am felt early and rushed).

Very nice place with a great view

Very nice place with excellent view. Spent alot of time in the screened in porch. Was close to the beach, about a 5-10 minute walk.Only issue would be the bed in the front bedroom is very high. Had elderly parents with us that would have a problem with the steps and also had problem getting into the bed

Great place for family time!

It was time to spend some time with our grandchildren, and we chose Captiva this year for catching-up, relaxation, and fishing. Mary Pat and Peter's condo was perfect since everyone was able to stay and visit in one unit. As advertised, it had everything we needed and more. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach was within a short walking distance. They enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony and watching the Osprey and pelicans. My husband was thrilled he could keep our boat at the marina which we could see from the balcony. Overall it was a memorable trip for all of us!

Great Location. Nice Condo

Property is exactly as pictured and described. Great location, and the property manager was very responsive to us. My only complaint was the cleaning crew did not do a very good job of cleaning the floors before we arrived. Our family always takes our shoes off when entering a home. Our feet were a bit dirty after walking around the condo. Other than that, the cleanliness we very good.

Captiva Stay

The place was very accommodating for our family. We did not have hot water the entire time in the master bedroom so we took cold showers the entire time. The condo could have used more trash bags, salt/pepper, paper towels. There was not salt or pepper, bags, etc in the kitchen. I would personally clear out a cabinet with the extra silverware drawer and add in some of those items for the guests. Overall, the place was great.

Accommodations lovely, Setting lovely except for construction everywhere. Were told that elevator would likely be fixed but could be sure. Massive amount of recovery work all over both islands. No elevator was a major issue. Would not have booked if we knew it would not be fixed

Wedding week!

Great location, understand Reno still going on. BUT the couch was filthy!! No one would sit on it and was cleaned day before leaving thus wet so couldn’t sit on it last day😢Peter is great to communicate with. My poor Mom’s bedding had dirt /sand between layers of bedding and sink was slow draining. As a condo owner who rents out I know the owners would be upset to see what we walked into. Put up a great front so all could enjoy!

Perfect Florida Home Away From Home

My family (hubby, two college-age sons, and I) stayed here five nights will visiting the area for vacation. The property was clean, well-equipped, and exceedingly comfortable. The beds were awesome and we slept like rocks. The location is great. Short walk to a great beach and a quiet marina right outside the building where we saw a momma manatee and her calf one night and a solitary manatee another night. Our only minor disappointment was that the water temperature in the master shower was spotty (one day plenty of hot water, the next only lukewarm), but this was not a problem for us as there were two other showers that worked flawlessly. The owner’s locker filled with beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler was so helpful. This is a great property for a family with older children or several adult couples looking for a getaway. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing your place with us!

If it isn't better than home why go." In that mode we wanted all the amenities to be up to our standards, not "rental" quality. That includes great sheets and towels, good cookware and amenities like a washer and dryer right in the unit, plus good equipment for the beach.
Most of all though, we love the walk-ability of Captiva, going days without using a car, and having the best of Sanibel close by.

Why they chose this property

We love Sanibel and couldn't find a rental during the winter. Ended up on Captiva and loved it so much we bought a condo. Having spent years going to Sanibel, frankly. we were disappointed that the only condo available on our timeline was in Captiva. However, we found that we are as close to Baileys, Restaurants, and Ding Dong Darling Reservation as we were on the east end of Sanibel. In addition, we could walk down the beach, visit the library, and start the day at Starbucks. The best, was watching the ospreys, manatees, jumping fish and boats in the marina and on the bay all from our condo.
