This old farmhouse in excellent condition is exactly what we were looking for. The space gave us a family feel with plenty of space for hanging out, preparing meals while being in a beautiful and charming environment.
The hosts were excellent, very good communicators and easy to work with.
Will definitely stay again for our next fishing trip with lots of people!
Muriel tended to our every need with a bright smile and cheer. The bed I slept In was the most comfortable ever, which I truly appreciate.
The home was beautiful with wonderful decorations to delight the eye, beautiful setting and views.
The home had a lot of space, tons of seating and many beds to accommodate a large group.
It was also stocked with some nice necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms.
Three generations stayed in the farm house for a few days and had a nice time. The nearby river was great and the house comfortably (with regards to room temperature despite hot days, water pressure, beds/layout) fit all of us. They've done a beautiful job preserving and decorating an old home.
There's no hot tub (although it's on the listing) and, as they state, you are in the midst of a working property. I know they list that, but we did feel a bit in the way of the gardeners/workers and the children were limited in where they could play outside (even right next to the house) because of other activities happening.
The hosts were very helpful in suggesting running paths or local activities. Everyone enjoyed sitting on the front porch or in the living room and the location was close to Ape Cave & MSH.
If we return to the area, we'd stay again.
We needed a place for out of town family to stay for our mother’s memorial service. The Farm house was the perfect location with room for everyone, comfortable beds, meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. Every detail is tasteful and artful. It is classy, county and we felt instantly at home the minute we walked in and saw the view out the enormous picture windows! Pictures cannot do this wonderful old farmhouse and grounds justice. It is gorgeous and spacious and truly special!! The fully stocked kitchen enabled us to make meals for our group. The living room is roomy and comfortable. The large dining table was perfect for family meals, games, and puzzles. The generous porch was a peaceful quiet place to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings. Every bed was high-quality, and totally comfortable. There is river access a short walk away. Also Merwin dam is a lovely place to hang out and swim a couple of miles up the highway. Our whole party was totally satisfied. Would love yo come back!! Thank you to Muriel and Jenny for making us so welcome!! Iour stay was a great comfort to us.
Great space, very relaxing, beautiful and comfortable. We make our family Thanksgiving in the wonderful kitchen, celebrated my dad's 80th bday with all 6 of his grand kids. Really wonderful time together.
The place was great. Great host very accommodating. Would highly recommend.
