The villa was built on the grounds of a historic property called 'Alfano Park' which belonged to the famous orchestra conductor Franco Alfano who is credited with having completed Puccini's unfinished 'Turandot' opera.
The apartment is only minutes away from the town's center but the main attraction of this location is the low traffic flow and the lush, green Mediterrenean gardens which surround the site. Ancient palms, mimosas and pepper trees decorate the area as well as roses and cicas bordering the lawn. Outdoor dining under the covered portico of the main entrance is enjoyed throughout the year - the property is completely sheltered from local winds. Sanremo is known for it's micro climate which offers maximum outside leisure throughout winter months.

One of the most recent major attractions is the 24 km ( 15 miles ) bicycle and walking path between Ospedaletti and San Lorenzo al Mare. An enjoyable way to keep fit and take in the beauty of the coastline. Rent-a-bike stations are found along the tract.

Très bel appartement

Appartement spacieux, très joliment décoré avec beaucoup de charme et d'élégance correspondant au quartier. Accueil très sympathique par le propriétaire qui nous a donné beaucoup de conseils et de bonnes adresses. Un' oasi di pace a pochi minuti dal centro

L'alloggio è spazioso, pulito, arioso e dotato di ogni confort, televisione a grande schermo con canali satellitari in tutte le lingue, connessione wifi senza problemi. Il giardino è curato nei minimi particolari, la posizione in una strada chiusa ne favorisce il silenzio e la tranquillità. Raggiungere le spiagge ed il centro, per chi ama camminare, non è un problema, in pochi minuti si arriva al litorale. I padroni di casa sono sempre disponibili, all'arrivo ci hanno invitato ad un tour in città con loro per farci conoscere ristoranti, spiagge, grandi magazzini e quant'altro è utile conoscere all'arrivo in una città per la prima volta. Di Sanremo che dire : " Sanremo è sempre Sanremo". Sicuramente torneremo !

Una piacevole scoperta da provare

Ho soggioornato in questo piccolo angolo di Paradiso durante la settimana festivaliera ed è stata una piacevole esperienza. Situata non lontano dal centro, raggiungibile facilmente a piedi o con i mezzi pubblici, in un quartiere signorile la villa è immersa in in giardino curato ed è particolarmente silenziosa. L'alloggio., situato al piano giardino dispone di tutti i confort moderni compresi internet e la tv satellitare. Ben esposta e riparata dai venti . I proprietari sono molto cortesi e disponibili. Sicuramente tornerò.

very comfortable

delightful apartment Gianni was the perfect host and a fountain of knowledge. Even our little dog enjoyed his holiday with a perfect garden and outside dining. we enjoyed some lovely walks in the hills and close enough to walk into town whilst retaining the quiet of the countryside. very homely

Lovely apartment on the hill

Great property for our family and we were extremely well looked after by Gianni, picking us up and dropping off at the station and offering lifts if required, a massive help when travelling by train with children. Sanremo beautiful place and apartment is well placed for beach and town if you enjoy walking. We were offered use of bikes also and had lovely cycle ride by the coast which was a nice bonus.

Gorgeous San Remo!

A very comfortable and clean villa. We were a family of 5 adults and there was plenty of space for us all. The villa kitchen is very well furnished for any home-cooking and had a lovely dining area and garden. Gianni was a wonderful host and could not have done more to make us feel at home and was on hand should we have had any queries. The villa comes with 4 bikes which we put to good use – the cycle path along the coast is a fabulous way to spend a day. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance and the lovely, clean beaches are very close. We spent a gloriously lazy week in the sunshine, eating delicious Italian food and all came home feeling very relaxed. This was our second visit to San Remo and we were not disappointed. Thank you Gianni!

A beautiful villa with the most gracious of hosts

How do you write a review of Paradise? A challenge to be sure, but we will try. We traveled to the lovely city of San Remo this fall and were lucky enough to stay at Gianni and Evy’s villa. From the moment we met Gianni and Evy we felt completely welcomed and at home. Our ground floor apartment suited our needs perfectly and had every amenity that my husband and I and my father (who is older with some mobility restrictions) could have hoped for. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful sunny garden complete with an outdoor area for dining and relaxing, a perfect spot to read and to listen to the birds. The apartment itself is bright, charming, tidy, comfortable, and has a very well-equipped kitchen. Gianni showed us an excellent grocery store within walking distance, where we were able to stock up on delicious bread, provolone, prosciutto, etc. The villa is within easy walking distance of the Mediterranean and its beautiful beaches and promenade/bicycle path. Gianni showed us a network of paths and stairways that were easy for my husband and me to navigate on walks to and from the seaside. But it is Gianni and Evy themselves who were the highlight of our visit. They embody hospitality. From the moment we stepped off the plane and Gianni met us at the Nice airport, we knew we were in excellent hands. Gianni is a terrific tour guide, enthusiastic to help visitors see the beauty of San Remo as he knows it. He grew up there, and he obviously loves his hometown and the surrounding region. He’s a wealth of information, whether on local and national history, a scenic walk or or drive or bike ride, or a restaurant suggestion for dinner. An example of his kindness: upon meeting my dad he realized that the hilly topography of the town would prove tricky for him to navigate, so Gianni offered us rides to and from points of interest. He took us to a number of the lovely towns surrounding San Remo (including Taggia, Busana Vecchia and Perinaldo). Both he and Evy speak several languages and offer their guests support that is tailored to their needs. We cannot imagine a more beautiful spot to stay in the Liguria region, and Gianni and Evy are very special hosts indeed.

Aparts must stay if in San Remo

My wife, I and our 1 year old baby stayed here from 14 till 23 of July 2011. We loved the place very much. First evening when we arrived Gianni took us to the nearest supermarket Coop to buy the necessary things and food. We would like to thank Gianni for that as it was very pleased and we didn't know where to buy food for first dinner. Apartment is spacious and sunny. Terrace is very confutable to take breakfast or to drink some wine in the evening. Apartment has no air conditioning, but it is not needed as it stay cool even during hot days. There is also very beautiful garden and even a fountain and it is all available for your stay. In first morning Gianni took us a little tour over San Remo and showed everything one can want to see or to visit. Beach is very close to the apartment - 10 minutes to walk and very convenient to families with children. Would sure stay here again!

Great place in San Remo

Gianni's apartment in San Remo is a great place to stay, whether for a week or a month. It is spacious and clean. Very bright, yet stays cool during the hot days. Lots of room to sleep and relax after a day on the beach or in the hills. There were three of us, but double that and you would be still very comfortable. It is a walking distance from the beaches and the town center, you do not need a car. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The first day Gianni showed us all key sites in San Remo, so that we did not have to spend time looking for anything. Will stay there again when in San Remo.

The magnificent rest!

"We had a rest from July, 6 till July, 14th. We were two families, Dzhanni of all has placed without problems. All was pleasant to all, even everyday rise has on the way home appeared not such heavy, predictably after perusal of responses - there are some steps and you at the house. It very much even is good after eating traditional pizzas and pastes. Owners have really appeared very pleasant and sympathetic people, all that is necessary gave without questions. The house very convenient and in a heat the cool. It is very healthy that there is a garden and a terrace where we always ate. At owners an input on the other hand, therefore we didn't meet at all. We recommend to rent the car, only small since very narrow twisting roads and on the big car it is very difficult to part. San Remo is a small town , it is possible to walk on foot, and by the car we recommend to drive to Nice, Cannes and Monaco - won't regret!!! The sea warm and pure. The majority of beaches paid, but Dzhanni has shown where the free sandy beach perfectly approaching for tourists with children. In the first put Dzhanni has taken us around the city and has shown everything, on what it is necessary to pay attention. In city center rough night life, it is possible to take a walk in a fantastic way on a night city..... In general all of us very much liked also thanks hospitable owners for fine rest!"

A month in Sanremo!

Thank you very much Gianni for letting me stay in your nice apartment. I spent a happy four weeks there and found it comfortable and also quite convenient. It was very clean and the accommodation was ideal for myself and my friends, being able to access the internet on my laptop was a major advantage too. I hope to return to Sanremo one day.

Excellent location and great value for money

This apartment is a little dated, but spacious and clean and has all the requirements. The cooking pans are not great, but servicable. The owners do update, as necessary. For example, there was a brand new lounge suite and bed (installed the day before we arrived). The bed is large and extremely comfortable. Gianni and Evy are friendly and very helpful. They live on site, but do not live in your pocket. We had a couple of minor maintenance problems, which Gianni responded to immediately and had fixed in no time. The apartment is less than 1km into San Remo town centre - you just have to be fit enough to walk up a number of stairs on the way back - not at all strenuous (we are over 50 and not particularly fit, but it was no problem). We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in Sanremo. There is some magnificent countryside, and also it is very close to drive into Monacco.

Stylistic place

Very nice and roomy, light place with modern taste and great hospitality. Relatively close to the city and beaches up in the hill, but yet peaceful without much trafic in vicinity. Even rainy day didn´t feel depressing due to nice interior and all the household conveniences of the house. The parking place in the ported yard was helpfull. Nothing to complain about at all.

Comfortable,beach,full facilities,clean,internet.

We lived 10 days and liked this place very much. The owner and his wife are very friendly, helpful and provide our staying excellent service. The house is big and has all necessary things. There is a garden around it and even during the sunny day it is comfortable to stay there. The supermarket is close and it is easy to reach the beach (full equipment: sun umbrellas, restaurants, catamarans, water volleyball etc.) that is suitable for small babies by foot. It is close to the main street with a Casino, restaurants, bars, cafes, ice-creem's and cake's shops, playground and attractions, boutiques. If you get a car you could easily go to France. I would like to recommend this house for families with children, active travelers, elders. That's place where we would like to come back. Thank you very much to the owners!!!

Wunderbar!

Wir reisten vom 09.-16.09.2023 nach Sanremo. Am 13.09.2023 folgte ein guter Bekannter. Der Vermieter, Gianni, spricht gut Deutsch und betreute uns den gesamten Aufenthalt. Am 10.09.2023 nahmen wir das Angebot an, Sanremo per Stadtrundfahrt zu erkunden. So erhielten wir auch Tipps, wie wir über Treppenzugänge rasch an den Strand kommen oder wo man einkaufen kann. Auch Empfehlungen zu Restaurants verschiedener Ausrichtung erhielten wir. Sehr nah liegt ein Coop und hinsichtlich Strand gibt es viele Angebote. Wir wählten den Strand Matuzia/Tartaruga, da klassisch mit Strandbar und allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Sanremo bietet eine schöne Fußgängerzone und viele Möglichkeiten zum Flanieren oder Einkauf. Ausflüge nach Monaco, Frankreich oder über die Via Aurelia bis Alassio/Cervo/Albenga/Finale Ligure empfehlen sich. Die Unterkunft als solche ist bestens ausgestattet. Die Küchenausstattung mit Gasherd, Spülmaschine, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank und Gefrierabteil, Geschirr und Gläser sowie Küchenhelfer ist bestens ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich, der SAT-TV hat praktisch alle deutschen Kanäle. Das Bad ist geräumig und verfügt über eine Whirlpool-Badewanne, Dusche, WC und Bidet. Ein Gäste-WC mit Waschmaschine ist vorhanden. Der mediterrane Garten ist traumhaft. Grill kann man wie Bettwäsche, Handtücher hinzubestellen. Als Endreinigung fallen 70,00 € an. Es war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. Tausend Dank an Gianni! Alles hervorragend!

Gianni ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber, der uns persönlich die wichtigsten Plätze in Sanremo gezeigt hat. Außerdem hatten wir durch ihn die Möglichkeit einen schönen Strandtag in Ospedaletti zu verbringen. Die Ferienwohnung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen.

Ruhige, großzügige Ferienwohnung mit großer Gastfreundschaft

Die Wohnung liegt in einer Sackgasse (kein Durchgangsverkehr, ruhige Lage) im EG eines umzäumten Grundstücks. Der sehr gastfreundliche Vermieter wohnt im OG und ist bei allen Fragen/Problemen sehr schnell für den Urlauber erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hochwertig ausgestattet, man hat viel Platz. Fliegenschutzgitter an allen Fenstern. Fernseher mit deutschsprachigen Programmen, Internet (WLAN) mit 50 Mbit/s. Zu Fuß kann man Bäcker, Eisdiele, Supermarkt gut erreichen (Fitness am Morgen bei vielen Treppen 😉). Betten sind bequem, gut isolierte , neuere Fenster, 2 WCs. Gasherd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Sandwich-Maker, Waschmaschine - alles da! Sanremo hat viele gebührenpflichtige Strandplätze (teuer!), aber man findet auch in Fußnähe einen kleinen, kostenfreien Sandstrand oder in 10 min mit dem Auto erreichbar größere und schönere kostenfreie Strände - wenn auch nicht vergleichbar mit den breiten Sandstränden in der Toskana oder in der Region Venedig. Man kann hier viel unternehmen:Baden, Wandern in den Bergen, Rad fahren (22 km Strandpromenade, autofrei), Paddle-Tennis spielen, Ausflüge nach Frankreich und Monaco. Unser besonderes Dankeschön geht an den Vermieter Gianni, der sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ist und sich um alles kümmert. Wir haben uns bei ihm im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt.

Séjour court sur San Remo

Très bonne réactivité, écoute et disponibilité du propriétaire. Grand appartement propre et fonctionnel, à 15 minutes du centre à pied, un peu de marche reste nécessaire pour s'y rendre tout de même. Un très bon séjour.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Sanremo. Gianni ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber und die Ferienwohnung ist insgesamt schön. Die Lage ist ebenfalls gut - Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen, jedoch ist es angenehmer mir dem Auto.
