Originally built in 1899, this gem of East Austin features 10 foot ceilings, a Dutch beamed ceiling in the dining room & Eygptian globe chandelier, bead-board and lovely trim work throughout. Located in the Historic Willow-Spence Neighborhood!

COA Short Term Rental License Number: 2012-110340 OL

All bathrooms either feature a steam sauna with aromatherapy function or jetted Jacuzzi style bathtub. The dining room features a wet bar with ice maker and glass collection, with access to the cocktail deck for al fresco dining or lounging. The property additionally features over 1,000 square feet of outdoor living space with a front porch, back screened porch, lower courtyard terrace and side cocktail deck. This property sleeps 10 people maximum in a Main House and Detached Bungalow on the back of the Courtyard. The property has 4 private bedrooms 3 full bathrooms and a pull-out true queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. Guest will have access to the entire property & backyard.

The host was very accommodating and did a great job of communicating. He had a great list of things to do and see in and round AUSTIN. The house was very clean and had all the things one would want or need during their stay. I particularly loved the steam shower. The location was fantastic basically five minutes from all the major districts one would want to visit while in Austin. Also very close to the walking trail.

This is a very/very nice place, very well furnished, spotless, perfect location, all the appliances etc appear to be brand new and Lyon could not have been a more gracious & accommodating host. Lots of room throughout -this house is extremely functional which made the stay so nice. We had a blast here and will definitely rent again.

Conference Venue

This property was well-equipped and very comfortable. Lyon was a great host and answered any questions that we had before and during our stay. The wall of glassware was impressive and fun to try with varied cocktails. All bedrooms were great and the bonus house worked well for our group.

Location, Host, and Property ALL Top Notch!

We will definitely be coming back to stay with Lyon again if we get back out here! The property was beautiful, well stocked and furnished, well cared for, and had all kinds of comforts for us. Lyon gave us a tour when we first arrived, and also helped us out with all the great local spots to see! I can only think of nice things to say about this rental unit and definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Austin for business OR pleasure.

Absolutely the best!

Lyon’s place is amazing. It was our first trip to Austin and we loved every minute of it. The house was so clean, perfect for a large group. Host was so accommodating and communicative. He gave us great recommendations. Really went above and beyond. The place is stocked with SO many things which made our stay that much more comfortable!

Best place in Austin to stay

As the organizer of the bachelorette party, you never know how receptive the host will be. Lyon was by far the BEST host I’ve come across. He greeted me at check in, walked me through the house and the amazing recommendations he put together for Austin. The house was the best layout for a group of 7. Location was prime for all the actives we did. Can’t thank Lyon enough for a wonderful experience.

This place is immaculate, super functional, perfect location. Plenty of space to spread out or not -the guest house in the back is very handy. We’ve stayed here several times and decided this year to have Thanksgiving here. Lyon is outstanding, very prompt with his communications & always accommodating. 5 stars all the way.

We spent a wonderful 4 days at Lynn’s beautiful home. The house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything that we needed. Highly recommended! From excellent owner/manager in Lyon, to awesome place and amenities...this is place to stay in Austin! Steam showers were awesome. Patios and amenities for excellent. Everything We Expected Plus Even More!

This was our fifth or sixth vacation rental for our family vacation with all our adult kiddos. East Cesar Chavez tops the list for being very well equipped and very comfortable for all of us. The guest cottage was a bonus - so cute and intimate! We love to cook together and the kitchen was perfect for that - everything we expected plus even more! It's location was within walking distance to many places. The neighborhood seems like a fun one - friendly neighbors and a safe location. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Perfect weekend getaway

Cute house and bungalow for a group of girls for the weekend! Plenty of space for us to hang out and sleep! There were a lot of extra little amenities like coffee and creamer. The check in and check out process was seamless . Would definitely stay again!

Great bachelorette location/space!

This property was so fun for our group of 7 girls to stay in East Austin for a bacherloette party. Most ubers were less than 10 minutes away to Rainey Street and 6th street bars and restaurants. Could not recommend this property more!

Super Adorable!!

Beautifully decorated home!! Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and very clean! The beds were super comfortable, even the sofa bed!! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again if ever back in Austin.

Love this place!

Great house - we were 8 adults and 2 little ones - it was perfect. Beautiful house with well appointed furnishings, amazing beds, stocked kitchen and updated beautiful bathrooms! Wed stay here again! Close to the east side “scene” and a short UBER away from anything else. Thanks for a great spot!

I love entertaining friends and family and hosting guests. I have a degree in Architecture but do not get the opportunity in my professional life to use it. Through property investments and renovations I get to utilize my design skills and attention to detail. I love remodeling properties and seeing spaces change. When traveling I like to splurge on luxury or historically interesting spaces. My hotel or residence, while out of town, must be relaxing and pampering. Traveling for me is all about experiencing the local culture and flavor, especially regional cafes & bars. The design and decor of my guest house was implemented with the thought, "where would I want to stay?"

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is fantastic. We are 4 blocks from the shores of Lady Bird Lake and the Hike & Bike trail that leads to the City of Austin boat house where you can rent kayaks & paddle boards. We are 6 blocks to the Rainey Street entertainment district, 7 blocks to the E. 6th Street entertainment district, and 2 blocks from the E. Cesar Chavez bar district. Within two blocks of the property you will find Bufalina Neopolitan Pizza, Eastside Tavern & Roof top bar, Cenote Coffee Shop, Flat Track Coffee, Kerlin BBQ, Veracruz All Natural, Las Trancas Tacos, Zeke's Fine Liquors, Weatherup Cocktail Lounge, Fast Folks Cyclery & Cafe and The Scoot Inn Bar & Music Venue. Surprisingly we are in a quiet peaceful street where you can get a great nights sleep, but only steps away from all the cool fun spots Austin has to offer!

What makes this property unique

This property is the owner's personal next door guesthouse. As opposed to a vacation rental where you find the minimum (like 2 spoons, 2 coffee cups, 2 towels), this luxurious home is outfitted to the MAXIMUM. Over a dozen towels, kitchen stocked to prepare a gourmet meal (including small appliances), laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, paper towels, place mats and cloth napkins for a fancy dinner. Even a ice chest and beach towels that guests can take with them to go boating or tubing. A huge choice of cocktail glasses & wine glasses. Ice maker in the wet bar. Steam sauna in the shower with essential oils supplied for aromatherapy function. There is even a turkey roaster for our Thanksgiving guests. If the house doesn't have it, let me know, and I'll bring it over from my house.
