The apartment "La Finestra sulle Cinque Terre" is a characteristic apartment located right in the center of Riomaggiore, in Cinque Terre. The house has two double rooms, a nice bathroom and a little kitchen. To complete the house you ll find also a balcony to enjoy a lovely view over the sea and the village. The accommodation, due to its features, is the ideal place for groups of friends. Restaurants and shops are very close due to the great location right in the center of Riomaggiore. Also the railways station is near the apartment and the same for the ferries area.

On request we have a private garage (25,00 euro/night). Subject to availability.

The Kitchen and second floor room set up was somewhat different/tighter than we expected, but that might have been due to our not understanding what to really expect in a small, seaside fishing village.

Amazing view & location

This property is in an amazing location with an amazing view. Having said that, there really are a lot of stairs as per the other reviews therefore if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. (That could be said for most places in Riomaggiore.) The interior is definitely dated however the fact that there is a balcony makes up for it.

We enjoyed the view from the balcony

Check-in worked like a breeze. The apartment's location is great but noisy at night because of the loud, pounding restaurant music. For two couples age 68, the steps straight up were a challenge, but this is probably normal for Riomaggiore. The one shower is not for "pretty-plus-size" people. The "Hobbit- size" 1st floor toilet was not usable, so we climbed stairs in the night. The view from the balcony was wonderful.

Great find, with a Via dell'Amore bonus!

This property was perfect for our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the sea view from the balcony. The trade off was that it was a little noisy in the evenings. Further away from the water is quieter, but ear plugs do the trick, and we all slept fine. The beds were very comfortable. The new BONUS you get for staying in Riomaggiore is that if you purchase the CT trekking pass and the €10 supplement for the recently reopened Via dell'Amore, the Riomaggiore guest card allows for repeated access to the Via for no additional charge! Others will pay €10 for each 1 way access. We walked the Via several times at various times of day. It was also like having two villages for the price of one! Be sure to ask for the guest card. 🙂

Overall this was a nice property located in a convenient spot in Riomaggiore. It met our needs but there are a couple things to note. 1. It is MUCH smaller than the pictures make it look. The hallways, kitchen, and stairs are so small you have to move single file. The shower is big enough to stand in but if you want to flip your hair upside down, good luck. If you have claustrophobia, this is not the place for you. Also, the stairs are VERY steep. Almost like climbing a ladder. Leg day every day. 2. We found ants in both bedrooms and even in one of the beds. The ants in the bed were because we had left clothes on the floor and then put them on the bed. We contacted the host and she brought a spray the next morning. We didn't see any ants after that.As far as stays in the Cinque Terre, this one didn't quite meet our expectations but was overall a comfortable stay.
