This property was wonderful. It was homey and comfortable, we had everything we needed. We came to visit our granddaughter for her 4th birthday. She calls it our Portland house now. Will definitely stay again!
My stay was phenomenal! The place was private, spacious, and just a very short drive away from Portland! The owners were very nice and accommodating and I would 100% recommend staying here.
My friends and I were attending a training at a nearby venue, and this home was perfect to come back to after long days. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-supplied with utensils and pots/pans, and the neighborhood is great for walks. Hope to stay here again soon!
I had a peaceful stay while I was in town. Super nice area. Checking in was quick, simple and easy. Everything was clean. I loved the decor and the well maintained house. The house was cozy. The host was very friendly and communicative. 10/10 I highly recommend staying here when you come to Portland :)
This guesthouse was super conveniently located for the visiting we did in town. Very well-equipped kitchen, and we appreciated having laundry facilities. Our only real complaint is how uncomfortable the bed was in the main bedroom. No complaints from the kids in their rooms, though.
The property was -amazing, the hosts were even more amazing- big and little things!!!! The property is in an amazing location, 15 min from Portland, 15 min from Washington Park and incredible hiking. Everything that we needed was provided, including water and trail mix packs upon our arrival :) My mother, who is unable to hike needed to stay back during those days and hang out at the property. I suggested a more comfortable seat in the living room for such guests. That night they showed up to the door with a comfy chair FROM THEIR HOUSE. These hosts go above and beyond!
We stayed a full week over the Christmas holiday. The guest house had everything we needed for a very nice stay. Appreciated the holiday decorations. Never got to meet the owners as they were also away for the holiday. Felt at home and very safe behind a locked gate. I recommend anyone staying near Portland to give this place a try.
Our family of 4, including a 4-year-old and 1-year-old, had a very pleasant stay. Everything was as advertised and our hosts helped us handle the airline losing our bags by receiving them when we were not present.
Perfect location. 1.5 miles from groceries, shopping, numerous restaurants but sitting on back porch it's quiet and peaceful. Park with tennis, basketball, and nice playground is a 5 minute walk. Very friendly and helpful host. Hope this place will be available should we have opportunity to visit the area again.
Privacy and surrounded by a Beautiful garden and fruit trees, Swings for children and a little patio. At Sunset, the sun streaming through the trees is so gorgeous. Beautiful, beautiful efficient kitchen.
The homeowners were easy to communicate with especially after I communicated that it was my first time in the state and that we would be visiting family. Beautiful guesthouse. He even found a couple of basketballs for my kiddo. Overall great experience!
Property was adequate for our long term stay. It was home-away- from home! Bill and Marina were always available for contact, and very courteous to our questions. The location was very convenient to stores and park area. We enjoyed many walks throughout the neighborhoods. We really appreciated the abode!
We really enjoyed our stay. Being close by our family in the area made us feel like locals. Easy access to freeways, shops and attractions. Comfortable accomodations. Friendly owners who respond quick to questions. Would stay again.
Enjoyed a family visit at this charming location that easily allows for “social distancing.” Bill was a wonderful host, and has a lovely home. My husband and I hope to visit again soon!
We had a great vacation at Portland. This house is located at a great location, close to the 217, yet very quiet and convenient to shops and restaurants. The place was very clean and functional and met our needs as a small family. Our 5 years daughter loved the pink bedroom.
We liked the location in the suburbs, close to shops and restaurants. Also the rental was freeway close but with no noise.
We enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the evening .
Bill was easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay

Great area, house needs some safety TLC
Great location for west Portland. Older detached home from vrbo owner's home. Safe house regardless to neighborhood area but house itself needs some updates with electrical/plates. House has a musty smell but goes away w/ heat up. Noticed lots of candles around so used them for old/musty smell. A main bedroom has an air mattress (for mattress) that deflated as you sleep. Re-inflates easy but still uncomfortable.
Bummer it didn't work out . We come to west Portland area a lot!
Homeowner fairly gBummer! easy.

We moved to Portland over 20 years ago, raised a family here and are now empty nesters with our dog, Bentley. This is an amazing location and ranch style property that we can enjoy homegrown food from the garden and relaxing in our outdoor living space. We love being outdoors and enjoying all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We can be skiing all year long at Mt. Hood and that same day go for an evening walk at the Oregon Coast. We enjoy hosting individuals and families in our guesthouse and letting them experience the best that Portland and great Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Why they chose this property
The location is so convenient to everything, it is an ideal spot, close enough to walk to restaurants and parks. 10 minutes to downtown Portland and NIKE World Headquarters down a couple miles away on Walker Rd. Walking distance to St. Vincent Hospital. Great schools and a wonderful quiet, peaceful neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
Large, secluded acre lot in SW Portland on the border of Beaverton just off the 217 freeway. Large evergreen trees and plenty of parking.
