About this property

5 Bedroom Luxury Beachfront

HI ID # W01733628-01 Our Hale at Kawela Bay is situated in a private gated community, set among swaying palms at the ocean's edge. Located at the "end of the road," a slice of Hawaii from long ago - yet with all of the modern amenities. Built in 1998, this 5200-square-foot home has an expansive covered lanai, frames the beautiful sunsets and ever changing colors of the blue Pacific. Whether serenaded by tropical birds, watching humpback whales, relaxing in the hammock, watching the surf, being caressed by gentle tradewinds, or watching the majestic colors of the sunsets - this is a magical playground. Large enough for up to 13 people, the house is very family friendly, Hale O'Kawela main house features four large bedrooms and three and a half baths. The Self contained cottage features one bedroom with a king bed, queen futon, and single daybed, one full bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The large living room, family room, and breathtaking kitchen all open onto the lanai. The lifestyle here can be as simple or luxurious as you desire. The house was designed for entertaining, with large open areas, yet thought was put into creating "quiet places" for relaxing and reflection. The generous over-sized living room is filled with beautiful antiques and treasures from around the world. It is large, comfy, and a great place to entertain, read, relax, do a puzzle, and "wind-down" even more. There is a large TV, VCR, stereo system (the speakers on the lanai),lots of books, and again the ocean at your feet. The main house is able to sleep up to ten, there are two bedrooms which have king-size beds, one bedroom has two extralong twin beds (that can be pushed together to make a king bed). The loft bedroom features two double beds, and the family room sofas can accommodate two. Most of the bedrooms have a full or partial ocean view, the lull of the ocean can heard from all rooms. The master bedroom suite is separate from the others, and opens onto the lanai with full ocean view. It features a walk-in closet and very large bathroom with a roman tub, separate shower, and toilet area. Should you be able to pull yourself away from the hammocks (located on the lanai, or on a knoll overlooking the water),you will enjoy the beauty and functions of the gourmet kitchen and dining areas. The dining area seats eight and the large island can accommodate seven. There is also a wet bar and walk-in pantry in addition to the amenities listed which makes cooking a pleasure - as each window reflects the ocean beyond. If dining outdoors is your pleasure we have seating for 12 beneath the large expansive covered lanai. The lanai has a large propane barbecue and additional seating for relaxation. For those not wishing to participate in the local activities lay back in one of the hammocks (sway with the tropical breezes listening to the calming tropical ocean and musical choir or the birds)or sit back and watch nature's radiance unfold before you. Discover the tide pools. Kayak in the bay and watch for our green sea turtles swimming by, stroll the white sand, search for sea glass, go shelling, float on a raft, snorkel, swim, read your favorite book, try your hand at painting, wait for the sunset, take a nap in the hammock, star gaze, listen to the quiet, smell the flowers, enjoy the Aloha spirit of our friendly Island, or do nothing at all. Come to Hawaii, come see us and you'll find paradise Pets are NOT allowed, NO Smoking. Keywords: Hawaiian Luxury Beachfront Estate

Incredible Home!

Our family stayed here during the summer of 2005. It was secluded, private, beautiful. The close proximity to the Polynesian Culture Center and Haleiwa were great! We had an absolutely wonderful time. Every amenity was available to us and the owners were wonderful. We are looking to come back this year to the very same home!

Hawaiian Paradise!

Our visit to the Hale at the “end of the road” on Kawela Bay was all we imagined and more. The home was stupendous and the views were stunning. We love to cook together and the kitchen was fully equipped with the longest granite counter! Sitting on the lanai having morning coffee is the best way to start any day. The house is exquisitely decorated and all the views are gorgeous. When I planned our Christmas vacation in Hawaii I told everyone this was a once in a lifetime visit, however after enjoying the surf, sun, trade winds, restaurants, and time together we will be back to the Hale at the end of the road! The owners and property manager were very responsive and made our visit even more enjoyable. Aloha “Oe!

Absolutely Amazing!

My family (which included 4 generations) and I stayed here on our 1st trip to Oahu. It was meant to be a 'Once in a Lifetime' vacation. We could not have picked a better house or location. We had 2 seniors 78+, 2 fifty something's, 4 in their 30's, a 24 year old, an 11 year and a 6 year old and each and everyone of them was in love the minute we got here! It was like walking into our home, but it was in Paradise! Amazing little treasures from the owners travels, and family pictures made it really feel warm and welcoming. You literally feel the love there. The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and the views are amazing from pretty much every room in the house. The huge Lanai, and outdoor spaces are amazing as well. We spent every waking moment outside. My grandkids were up at the crack of dawn and on the beach before breakfast was served. We had to force them to come in to eat every meal. We had several events planned that we ended up cancelling because no one wanted to leave! We did make it to Waimanalo for Chief's Luau, and the drive was a bit long, but so beautiful. We cooked several meals. The guys went off shore fishing and brought back Mahi-Mahi and Tuna. My nephew made us a local dish, Tuna Poke that was to die for, and we had the best fish tacos from the Mahi-Mahi. When we didn't cook we grabbed take-out from several local places. Kahuku Grill had the best Hamburger I have ever eaten, and Giovanni's Shrimp Truck had excellent Garlic Butter shrimp, my kids liked the 'No Refunds' - Hot and Spicy. We also enjoyed Ted's Bakery - the Lilikoi Cheese Pie was everyones favorite, and their scones are really good as well. My husband actually picked up a couple of pies everyday that we were there! Annette the property manager is amazing. She was there to help us get settled in. She offered to do my shopping prior to us getting there, and I now wish I had taken her up on it. I ended up spending too much time in grocery stores!! When we were leaving the property, it became very clear that there was no way we could leave and never return. So, we have decided that we will be going back next year - the kids (ages 6-36) are thrilled and so am I!

Paradise Found ! ! !

This wonderful property offers everything a dream vacation should, including fun, sun, privacy, and luxury. Special thanks to the owners for their outstanding attention to detail, as this vacation rental defines comfort and luxury. The home itself is very large, immaculately maintained, beautifully appointed, well landscaped, and has a wrap–a–round lanai that has become a favorite home away from home. The only audible sounds are those of the rolling sea, the cooing birds, and family and friends enjoying themselves. It is right on the beach, peaceful, and the views are breathtaking. It also has a private outdoor shower for bathing al fresco. One of my personal favorite amenities. Every island entertainment is minutes away and much is within walking distance. The Turtle Bay Resort is right next door and offers spa treatments, horse back riding, golf, tennis, island helicopter rides, surf lessons, walking paths through a Banyan forest, upscale dining, and an ‘on the beach–in the sand’ restaurant that is so much fun. Take your pick of world–class, white sand beaches for swimming and surfing, Sharks Cove for snorkeling, Haleiwa for dining and shopping, and the roadside fruit stands for fresh island produce and treats. Oh, and do not miss Matsumoto’s for shaved ice, Ted’s Bakery for sweet treats galore, the Waialua Farmer's Market for the most amazing coconut peanut butter, and the white shrimp trucks that are scattered all along the North Shore for the best garlic shrimp on the planet. This very special North Shore home, outstanding location, and caring owners embody the beauty of Hawaii and the spirit of Aloha. I highly recommend this rental property and assure interested parties you will not be disappointed. Thank you from a grateful repeat vacationer.

our excellent repeat holiday

we have rented this home 4 times now and have had a positive experience each time. The beautiful home, and location are truly in paradise. you are in close proximity to Haleiwa and the polynesian cultural centre , even honolulu if you choose to drive there. The community is quiet and a great place to gather with your family for a holiday. We very rarely have any complaints or problems, but if there are any they are looked after immediately. The listing was exactly as advertised. We are looking forward to returning for our 5th stay next year.
