A great ‘home away from home’.

A lovely historic building in a lovely historic town. Close to everything - a perfect location.. Enjoyed the ‘retro’ feel of the building.

Wonderful place to stay

We loved our stay here. Everything was very clean. Beds were comfortable showers with great fantastic location.. we would happily stay here again. It was a real bonus being able to bring our beautiful doggy.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. Lots of space for 6 adults, property clean and airy, comfortable beds, great view window and lounge space. Found the historic artefacts and decor interesting. Enjoyed viewing the penguins after dusk with a short walk to the viewing area.

I have stayed here many times and love the place. It is just a warm, welcoming and quirky place. Close to everything, has all the amenities that you would need. Well equipped kitchen. A beautiful view out the back. The owner is very prompt in responding and easy to communicate with.

From the moment we walked in we were totally comfortable and charmed by this gorgeous home. We loved the history and vintage aspect. The Lodge is spotlessly clean and the kitchen is well supplied for cooking at home. We loved our stay and appreciate how understanding the owner was when I broke 3 mugs. Thanks once again Stanley was a highlight of our trip to Tassie.

Great location and ample well appointed facility.

Spent two days in Stanley and found the location of the Lodge easily as the building makes a statement in the street scape. It was close to the main town area and provided a casual walk to the beach and all that Stanley has to offer.

Beautiful, Serene and comfortable

This property is great for family, a group of friends or a quiet getaway. The setting is beautiful, the attention to detail and the house itself was immaculate. I would definitely go back again with my family.

The house was immaculately clean and well equipped. The house felt very homely, spacious and warm. Great kitchen facilities and all ammenities were well stocked and efficient. We could walk everywhere, the location was perfect. A thoughtful home made treat was even provided! Would highly recommend

Relaxing stay in Stanley

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. Stanley is always a beautiful place to visit and staying at the lodge just makes it more special. The owners have kept the atmosphere of the place whilst providing all the modern conveniences. It is warm, welcoming and quirky and would be the first place I would look to stay iin Stanley.conveniences.

The Lodge was amazing. Fantastic location, absolutely everything you could ask for in a home stay! Comfortable, lovely aspect, very comfortable home to base yourself in Stanley. Penguins & whales at your back door, great views. We all loved our daily walks, even a few walks up the Nut! Highly recommend the Lodge & will most definitely stay again. Thank you for having us
