Our Home is available and away from the current Kilauea eruption zone. Enjoy your stay here.

Between the Scenic Route and the ocean. Good ocean views in an agricultural setting. All NEW furniture and incidentals. Terrific landscaping. Gated with a 2 car enclosed garage.

Tempurpedic King! For those of you who sleep on one you already know how special these mattresses are. For those of you who haven't had the privilege, this is your chance to feel what a wonderful nights sleep ought to feel like. This brand new king size mattress will make this heavenly experience just that much better.

For those of you bothered by the heat. We have air conditioning, a rare offering in our area. We keep it off most the time but it will cool quickly when you flip it on.

Pepeekeo is wonderful little town and we live between town and the ocean. Our home is just rural enough to feel like country but urban enough to be on the county water supply. There are great places to walk or bike.

Our home is always clean and fresh. We recently upgraded the coffee maker to a new Keurig coffee maker with some pods ready for your use.


Low Store and What's Shaking Smoothies both offer terrific food just a short walk away.

The Scenic Route is a spectacular that is best enjoyed before 9:00 and after 4:00 when the traffic is light. You will not be disappointed.

Art Lovers? The house is filled with interesting photographs, painting, ceramics and sculpture. A local sculptor, Michael Shewmaker lives next door. His 3 acres sculpture garden is adjacent and guests are welcome to walk through and enjoy during daylight hours. East Hawaii has many terrific artists and galleries for your enjoyment.

The home looks over three acres of pasture/sculpture garden and out to the ocean.

This was the perfect home for our week long stay. Val responded immediately to any questions and was very kind. Location was ideal for our day trips to different parts of the island and nearby activities. The home is spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed as a family especially two bathrooms and AC. Area is quiet and safe. The views of the ocean, sunrise and beautiful sculpture garden were lovely. Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting!

Great Get Away from City Living

What impressed us about the property was the peace and tranquility of the neighborhood. It was a very interesting privilege to have an outdoor "museum" of amazing pieces of sculpture in the adjacent property and a herd of black cows across the street!

Delightful!

The biggest surprise was a happy one--the magnificent sculpture garden next door. Oh, and cows across the street. The house itself is clean and modern, beautifully kept, with all the conveniences. It's an easy drive into Hilo and south, and you have a head start if you're heading up Hamakua Coast. Good roads all the way. We're eager to return!

Everything I’ve ever wanted in a vacation rental. Clean, comfortable, private, yet close to anything I needed. The yard is beautifully landscaped. I didn’t have to contact the owner about anything because it was all there, in good working order. The only downside for me was the roosters crowing early, but because there is an air conditioner in the bedrooms turning those on covered that noise after the first day and since we are from Alaska a little cool air felt great! The bed in the master bedroom is even better than described in the overview. If I ever go to the area again this is where I would want to stay.

I wish I could give 10 stars!!! The property was beautiful, peaceful and had more than anyone could want!! The hosts/neighbors were absolutely wonderful as were their cute pups that came to visit once or twice!!! Also there is an amazing sculpture garden that we were able to roam around in!! Wonderful to have a very nice garage to park in cause it rained a lot while we were there!!! Probably the best rental I’ve ever stayed at!!!

For sure this is one of the nicest rental properties along the Hilo coast. We stayed for 12 days while we did the cleanse retreat at Angel Farms (about 1/2 mile south). Wonderful property all around and Val was only a text away when we had questions.

The Art of Stillness

Our 9-day stay at this "tropical bungalow" - total bliss. The owners' description was spot on. We enjoyed every moment. Their home was immaculate, decorated with beautiful & comfortable furnishings, and surrounded by a gorgeous landscape of nature's beauty & sprawling garden of stunning sculptures. This place was amazing! Check-in was very easy. The garage was super convenient since it rained a fair amount. The house was very clean and was fully stocked with linens and towels. The bed was very comfortable. It seemed to be challenging to find a high quality property inside Hilo so the 15 minute drive north was WELL worth it. The view of the ocean from the patio was also incredible. I have nothing but positive reviews and highly recommend this property!

A house in paradise

This is a well designed house that I wish I owned. The house is located at an artistic neighborhood. Sitting at the lanai, I can see Pacific far away and a vast sculpture garden down the hill. I often sit at lanai enjoying the constant cool breeze. Inside the house, I can feel that it was designed by an artist, not fancy, but practical. The owner is very thoughtful to provide household supplies. We enjoyed very much our 6 days stay here during February. Next time we come back to Hilo area, this will be our first choice.

Comfy House with Cool View

We loved staying at this house, which is located outside Hilo in a little rural town that's not far from several of the waterfall sites and the fabulous Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens. The lovely sculpture park in the lawn beside the house is wonderful with gorgeous effects from sunrise and sunset lighting. Outdoor patio table & chairs makes a perfect spot to enjoy an evening cocktail. AC units worked well in the bedrooms, the living room is spacious enough for 4 adults to comfortably relax. Overall we loved our stay.
