We had a very nice stay at this home. It was clean and ready when we got into town. We enjoyed the decor and felt comfortable and safe here. We can recommend without hesitation.
We enjoyed staying at this little cottage! It was such a a cute place. The hosts were very friendly and they really thought of everything to make their guests feel right at home! We also enjoyed the pretty view from the back deck and the friendly cat who came to visit. Would definitely recommend!
Delightful and cosy place to stay close to Ark Encounter. Very clean. Lovely deck frequented by a sweet cat who loves affection and treats. Very nice to meet the owners who live across the street. Furnished with lovely antiques and collectibles. Handy to have access to a washer and dryer and so nice of the owners to have a basket of treats in the kitchen.
I have been to many Vrbo's in my traveling but this one will ALWAYS be the most memorable. Im 69 years old and this little cottage took me down memory lane. The moment I walked through the door I felt all the tension of traveling disappear and a sense of calm and being safe replace it. I could write more but you really need to plan a visit to experience it for yourself. The horses and calico cat were cherries on top of a beautiful experience.
Lovely, well appointed cottage with every kind consideration. The quaintness, the view, the birds and horses, and the spectacular sunrises made our stay beyond expectations. Great location: We were able to enjoy the Ark Encounter, Things in Cincinnati and Lexington. We give The Little White Cottage two enthusiastic thumbs up!
We loved all the antiques, the convenience of dry falls for food and five minutes from the Ark. We just wished that it had a central AC instead of a window unit. I appreciate the host, they were very nice people and if you message them they will answer you back very quickly. Overall we had a nice stay. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.
Wonderful little house! Comfortable, quiet, nice back porch, great hospitality. Loved the little things that the host does to make you feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cottage was lovely and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Our only issues were with the weather which no one could help and we had problems with the TV but Allen worked hard to correct that
The cottage was so cute and cozy. My kids enjoyed the animals in the backyard and the cool games in the living room. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my family had the best time. Such a great trip full of fun memories.
This is the cutest cottage! It was very clean and cozy with a nice sized kitchen and living room. We spent a lot of time on the back deck- coffee in the morning and a drink and snack in the evenings. We had a short drive to The Ark, as well as grocery store, antiques, and wineries. We highly recommend this quaint little house!
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! It was a hot & very humid summer day when we arrived, after a 6 hr drive. Upon entering the Little White Cottage, I felt the welcoming heart of the owners. Every light was turned on and the A/C was set to 70 degrees! The little cottage was so well decorated with local antiques and modern amenities. I was especially excited to see there was an ice maker that pumped out the ice!! The owners of the Little White Cottage even left 1/2 dz eggs and carrots in the fridge, in case the local horses stopped to visit. Sadly, they did not, but we were certainly entertained by the sweet little Calico kitten on the back porch! I loved feeding her and giving her fresh water during this intense heat and she thanked me by letting me hold her and some sweet purrs! There was so many details to the visitor's comfort and pleasures. I especially loved the shampoo bottles above the medicine cabinet that had PH 302!! EXCELLENT DETAIL!!! Thank you for a beautiful 2 night stay!!
Everything was great! The town of Williamstown was very quaint and wholesome. The decor of the house was stress free and relaxing. You couldn't ask for any more items available in the house. Everything we could possibly need. Also I am not a lover of cats but Calico, as we called her, just belonged there as well.
We will surely return.
We felt so comfortable here! We were surrounded by nostalgic items from our childhood era and even before.
Modern enough with Wi-Fi & smart tv, but oh so familiar from days gone by.
Bed slept well with smooth cotton sheets (no synthetics!) and a wonderful cotton quilt.
The two cats that come to the deck for food were friendly and a real treat. I hope to return in nice weather when we can enjoy that deck and the beautiful view of the rolling hills of Kentucky.
We’ve stayed in much more updated (read fancier) VRBOs but never in any where we felt as much at home as the Little White Cottage.❣️
We did not find anything lacking. The house was clean and overall comfortable. The view was lovely and peaceful The less than excellent score is because of the following points. The house is a little on a curve so not remote. I missed where the list of closing up was (on the fridge) but that was because I never used it. We did use the tv more than we normally do and sat in the couch for some time. It was not comfortable. Too soft. The bed mattress was also very soft and bouncy. And we are firm mattress sleepers. Overall stay I would do it again.
We visited the little cottage in June, the weekend before father's day. I knew the space would be small, but that is what i was looking for, a cozy intimate space for a short, weekend excursion.
Clean little house, maybe 800' ft. Cozy. No central A/C, window unit in living room. That causes a slight dampness on the furniture. And, if you're taller than 6', watch your head going into the bathroom.
Other than the window unit and small bathroom entrance, everything else was exactly as expected. Having said that, the window unit kept the cottage cool enough and the bed slept well.
We enjoyed this little cottage so much! The back yard view was so beautiful with the rolling hills and the horses. We barbecued on the deck as my little guy explored in the back yard. The side yard was flat and private so we had a family ladder ball tournament. The house was stocked extremely well! It was as though we were family and if we forgot something- it was there for us behind a cabinet or drawer to use or have. There is a neighborhood splash pad that is really nice. The short drive to the ARC Encounter really paid off. My 8 year old keeps asking if we can go back to feed the 2 cats that he played with all week. We can’t say enough good things about this property. If you want “clean” this is the place to stay! Thank you for offering such a quality place to make memories!
Very nice communication. Was easily accessible. Very private and quiet. Very peaceful. Host was very friendly. Didn’t get to meet them but enjoyed our privacy. Shower was amazing. Was old house but smell was tolerable. Was a little disappointed when pulled up and saw outside was not like picture online. But inside was very accurate. Snacks were very nice. Only thing I had wished for was a recliner. Chair and footstool was very uncomfortable for me because of needing to recline my legs at night. I would recommend a recliner maybe. Tv was nice. It was so peaceful enjoyed that the most of all. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. Thanks Tammy and Allan for providing a nice stay. God bless you!

We discovered guest houses (vacation rentals) when we went out of town after trying bed-and-breakfasts & before that motels. We found them to be more comfortable with more space and more relaxing. We have lived in this neighborhood with the cottage for over 25 years now and enjoy the rural feel while still being in town.
Why they chose this property
We don't want to be the busiest by being the least expensive. We do want to offer the cleanest and most relaxing accommodations available in our area. We also tried to put everything you may need in the cottage, so you don't have to worry about anything....except relaxing.
What makes this property unique
You can cook meals in the kitchen. you can do laundry if you need to. You can roast wieners and marshmallows over the open fire pit while you are watching the horses come right up to the fence. Or you can just sit on the deck and enjoy the birds and squirrels and all of Gods glory!
